I dont think you can deny her representation of emotion is touching. Good - something sounds great but its the lyrics that make her music.

I agree that emotion and expression is the most important thing, but I don't that most people who sell music in the kind of market this is in are doing it to just to express themselves. That is why the greatest musicians come from the oddest places (eg. Tracy Chapman was a busker)... I can't quite word what I mean, but I hope you understand.

And actually, I've won a few competitions, a couple of local talent shows and a city-wide singer/song writer contest (a fair few years back, when I thought I could actually write songs).

It's hardly slagging her off - I highly doubt she reads all her Youtube comments and gets upset - it was stating a valid opinion.
