  • SOUND FM-PAC 128K MSX

    youtube.com/watch?v=RVy7jpX11RE

  • how the hell do you do this o.o

  • A couple trackers. Try a google search for TFM and MOD2PSG2. Between the two of them you could make every song you hear here.

  • I also use those two programs (just found mod2psg2 the other day after looking all over the place for a tracker for sms music). I used TFM to record FM instruments used in my Genesis soundfont.

  • Yeah nice one! It's good to hear that 8-bit sound again it reminds me of my childhood. I would love to know why the white noise and the computer bass can't share the same audio space in the music. When the bass comes on the white noise cuts out! And when the white noise comes on the computer bass cuts out! Example at 0:06 to 0:09

  • Well, there's only one channel that can actually do the noise and what you call the "computer bass". Like all the channels it can only play one note at a time, so it's either one or the other.

However I don't recall there being much percussion in the original at that part either, so I wasn't upset about it not being included.

  • Yeah it seems that you are right! When I say computer bass I mean that farting sound that was used in alot of Matt Furniss SEGA Master System titles like Lemmings,Alien 3,Back To The Future 3,The Terminator,Star Wars and Mortal Kombat II. Those games don't have much white noise in them because of the ''farting computer bass sound.'' I just naturally thought that they were seperate audio lines but they have to share the same line. Once again good job!

  • Nice job on this.
