  • I have no idea what the video says but they are both beautiful classics.

  • ES SOLO UN PROBLEMA DE GOMAS!!!!!

  • É uma toyota ou um carangueijo???

  • this is retarded. put them in the same spot next tme

  • The original Land Cruiser specs - 94 inch wheelbase, single speed transfer case, no black out running lights, and a vehicle mass ~3000lbs. How in hell is that the same specs as the willy's as you claim???

  • Fact check superjimfuman. the precurser to the land cruiser (ak-10) was released in 1942, well before Korean war.

The BJ40 wasn't released until 1960, 10 years after the Korean war started, and 2 model updates from the original Landcruiser, so how was it commissioned for a war that had been over for 7 years?

The original Willy's specifications were wheelbase under 75 inches, a 2 speed transfer case, blackout running lights, a vehicle mass under 1200 pounds...

  • LOLZ!!! The FJ40 wasn't made first. The bantam jeep was made in 1941, and the US government commissioned Toyota to build them the BJ40 during the Korean war with the same basic specs as the willy's model. So basically, Jeep gave Toyota the plans for their FJ/ Landcruiser family. You are welcome.

  • @superjimfuman lol i cant believe someone was arguing that the fj40 was made first. no way during 1941 that the japs were making fj40s haha.

  • Randon, off the subject fact: Youtube is so important for reading negative and positive comments about trucks O_O...... yeah thats pretty random...... :/

  • hmm bigger tires toyota oh and try not to roll

  • The Toyota was drifting?

  • Ford.

  • Toyota can do watever they want to make a jeep lookalike but jeeps have been around forever and havent changed much because they were built right

  • @GetSumFunDun HAHA jokes on you FJ40 was made first

  • @GetSumFunDun ehhh i wouldnt go that far

  • A toyota lc bj40 will torn jeeps apart...

  • TOYOTA LAND CRUSIER 1978 WITH A SIX CILINDER IN LINE 2H DIESEL MOTOR A ALL TERRAIN TRUCK , A REAL ONE TRUCK THAT CAN KICK PROBABLY EVERY AMERICAN BUILD 4X4

  • 2 different places, the jeep splashed a ton of water up. the mud the yoda was in was really boggy. this guy just made up this video.....

  • 100% Jeep

  • @McArchie1 ive seen a 79 landcruiser tow a jeep when the jeep had a head start... i love my jeep but damn

  • If you are talking the difference between a wrangler and a fj40 wich would be about as close as you could compare. The fj 40 would be a better rig. Fjs came with better axels, stronger frames and better running engines. What else is more important than that? Dont believe it look it up.

  • @429thunderjet1. The Jeeps 4.0 I-6 engine is one of the best engines ever built. Its been around for about 50 years. The 4.0 is indestructible.

  • @WedidLandONtheMOON One of the best ever built? Maybe thats a little extreme. The only two people I know that have owned jeeps with a 4.0 one broke a valve spring cruising down the freeway and the other threw a rod while driving through town. I have never been impressed with any engine that chrysler has been involved with since the early 70s. Or transmission, or frount axel.

  • AMC built the 4.0 not chrysler. The 7 people that i know that own a Jeep they all have around 200,000 to 340,000 miles. And one told me his friend that i dont know had 405,000 miles on his 1992 Jeep Cherokee. Its not running any more because he crashed it.There is a junk yard where i live with 5 old Cherokee's all crashed but one it had a engine fire sadly it had 189,000 miles the others from 200,000 to 260,000. The Jeeps 4.0 overall dependability is really good.I own a '91 JC with 144,678 miles

  • uhh im pretty sure that first red one is actually a mahindra.

  • dude get out the way! haha skidding vehicles are unpredictable especially when the wheels are pointed AT YOU. I traded my rav4 for a jeep wrangler. Loved both, but would never have traded my jeep for a rav4 haha. Toyotas are comfortable and reliable, jeeps are fun as hell but even with a Jk, are uncomfortable as fuck. For people like me who need to get into farmlands during months of rain I just cant do without jeeps,Do people realize your allowed to own more than one car brand & love them all?

  • mud drifting

  • Toyota's are by no means a bad auto, but Jeeps are better.

  • Jeep defined offroading, Toyota refined offroading.

  • Jeeps are better, the only good toyotas are jeep copys!

  • @meattube4u33 Way to show how unintelligent you really are.

  • @wrenchbuggy Sounds like something youve been told often, however I stand by my comment.

  • @meattube4u33 Willys, cj's, wagoneers and j10-20s are pretty awsome, ill admit. But Jeep hasnt made anything worth bragging about in a long time now. Toyota was quality then, is quality now and will be till the fucking earth explodes

  • @wrenchbuggy No I must disagree, I will say that toyota used to build some good little trucks, a bit underpowered but soild none the less, but today toyotas are built here in America by workers that make less than 1/2 union wages and toyotas focus is profits, not winning loyality with lasting quality ( those days are over ) todays toyotas are no better than the worst domestics and recently not even near as good. I dont know about you but my family's safety is important to me. FUCK A TOYOTA!!!

  • Who takes a Jeep off road in 2wd!

  • That fj40 is gonna just Roll, its lifted rediculous.

  • @redfourtrack It probably just has it's sway bars disconnected while he is out wheeling. When he hits the highway he will put his sway links back on and good to go!

  • Toyota is reliable.. but on the other hand Jeeps are very Good looking also reliable and in addition INTERIOR is very good..but Jeeps consume soo much GaS.. while toyota is very Powerfull machine with economy..just come to Pakistan and i will show u the power of Toyotass..

  • pinchi toyota sarra

  • toyota is the only way to go.

  • toyota all the way

  • hahahaah feis a curva no "semi drift"

    mto bom

  • that yota has been ruined....bring it back closer to stock and it will perform much better

  • this guy drives like shit its not the jeeps fault

i can get through that mud in a 1968 vw beetle and do better than both

  • i say you take some clips of that chevy even slightly attempting that. ..for comic relief.

  • Do any of you know about Internationals? Cuz it sounds like you just don't know.

  • Jeeps build quality might be a less then what it was in the 70's however the Jeep Rubicon is hands down the most capable out of the box 4x4 available here in the states. Any stock Rubicon can outperform anything made in the 70's and 80's that Toyota offers. I'm a huge Toyota fan but I hate seeing people disrespect today's Jeeps because of quality. One day you'll be happy when you find yourself stuck and out of nowhere a Jeep comes around the corner. Personally , I think of Jeeps as friends

  • @Socalfj40 It wouldn't happen in australia, as they are too uncommon.

But that more comes down to not going into remote places without friends, which should be bloody well obvious if you want to go to remote places, otherwise you're toying with your own life lmao.

  • get out the way you old fart!

  • Toyotas are nice. Jeeps are nice. My dodge pickup's better than both of 'em.

  • @redreaper2020 PFFF AHAHAHAHAHA!!!! you are funny

  • You are all a bunch of fucking idiots. Ive owned toyota and i know own a jeep rubicon. Both vehicles are great off road. Toyota is definitly built tougher but Jeeps are just so fucking cool. I dont plan to leave anything stock on my rig so i dont care about cheap stock parts. I upgrade them as they break... As for stock vehicles, the rubicon is more capable but the toyota is more reliable. Both are awsome in thier own way. Im tired of hearing people argue about jeep vs toyta.

It is easy amigo to continue when you are already moving, but when you stop that is when you get stuck. And we can see that there are two different locations.......not the same spot.

  • Jeeps die everyday but toyota is forever. Go to a junk yard and tell me what you see. There is a reason why there are less fj40s on the road, it's because there were less made in the united states compared to jeep. There are a lot of vehicles that can get you somewhere but at the end of the day the landcruiser will always get you home.

  • @troxymyfoxy And you won't have to repair parts every time you take it offroad...All american cars are shitty....

  • those FJs are beasts, much rather have one than a heep, i mean jeep. he only needs some mudd tires not bald ones. other than that, NICE rig

  • FJ Cruiser : FAKE-JEEP Cruiser........

    FJ Cruiser Fake Jeep Cruiser....

    XD

  • @Howie262 Hmmm...I guess the knock off is better than the original....

  • @jewmim Fine by me, at the end of the day you're still driving a fakejeep.

Jaajajaja

  • Toyotas are a lot more reliable cars than jeeps... besides JEEP means Japanese Engenering Eventually Prevails lol

  • Put 400 HP on that Cheep drivetrain and see what happens to it. The brakes on my 97 Cherokee look like they came off an EzGo.The piece of junk gets about 12 miles to the gallon.

My 76 BJ 40 diesel still has the original radiator cap and gets over 25 MPG.365000 miles.Never been apart Try that with a Cheep.

  • I think both are awesome and sexy. I have a 95 yj and a 98 zj 5.9 and love them. There is an fj40 for sale down the road I would kill for. My wife refuses. I may have to kill her....

  • Whats important is the driver not the truck

  • @cnburke not really...

  • lo mejor es el tlc

  • sooo not fair..... comparing 2x4 with 4x4? come on now

  • @RovingLandRover my 1989 XJ has well over 350000 miles although i put a new tranny in it at about 200000 miles it was a pos made by a french company it runs great but is very noisy now it was my daily driver untill 2007 now i only drive it about once a month and i used to drive it like i stole it the only thing better about yotas is their fit and finish thats it if you take care of it will last as my XJ proves time and time again

  • @RovingLandRover Heres your reply, people will always like different from what you like. I like Jeeps and you like Toyota's and that is that.

  • @Chumbbo you say u like jeeps yet your utube name is land rover.... the defender and the land cruiser r in a different fckin world compared to jeeps mate, bout time u opened ur eyes!

  • @RovingLandRover I'm sure people who drive Jeeps don't care about gas mileage, just sayin.

  • @RovingLandRover I was not, and dude japanese vehicles ruin our economy our economy is full of GREEDY bastards all about money and japan gets like all of the fucking money from them and they all suck balls! My dad has a jeep wrangler 1997 180k miles ORIGINIAL transmission, try that with a fucking toyota

  • @Chumbbo Bro, I have a 75 series cruiser with 247,000KM's on it, 60,000km's of which, was to tow a 3 tonne boat before I bought it, the rest of which it was used as a country vehicle (Towing, heavy 4x4 trail work, very rough roads, etc etc).

I had a VERY thorough mechanical inspection done, by 2 different places, before I bought it. Nothing wrong with it.

1HZ Diesel, H55F Transmission, Leaf springs. 1992 model.

    Un-fucking-stoppable.

    Try that with a cheep.

    Oh; everything is original.

  • @sovereign126 Jeep = Flush your money down the toilet.......That is why the rest of the world uses toyotas......

  • @jewmim this man knows what he's talking about.

  • @Chumbbo Its the sell out American car companies that are ruining or did ruin the economy, not the Japanese vehicles. I mean hell, the Toyota Tundra is 80% domestic, more than any other full size pick up in the US. Its assembled in San Antonio, and that's fact. Jeeps are in fact assembled in Ohio, Egypt, Iran, and China.

  • @RovingLandRover NOPE japanese cars suck toyota will NEVER EVER overcome JEEP

  • @ZzoldpeopleburningzZ don't hate. you were conceived in the back of one.

  • Thats not fair, you're comparing a lifted 4x4 fj40 with locking differentials to a 2 wheel drive jeep that doesn't even look like it has an lsd. IMO, it looks like the jeep did better given the circumstances.

  • esa perola parece carrito de juguete O!!!!!!!O

  • jeeps rule fj40s sck big time

  • @RovingLandRover stock they are built alot stronger but jeeps are easily upgraded, they have so much more aftermarket support. I wish toyota would make a modern fj40 with a diesel.

  • TOYOTA WILL WIN STOCK TOYOTA VS STOCK JEEP (oops caps) of course the fj40 will win its made to be good stock the jeep you have to build up for it to be any good

  • el jeep pasó por otro lado

  • Ok i am definitely a Toyota guy.... but seriously people, cant we just agree that when it really comes down to it jeeps and yotas are some badass 4x4s? i mean really if you take care of it and build it, either one is unstoppable.

  • @coldaziceee anything is unstopeble when you take care of it and build it.

  • @coldaziceee Agreed, I've got both sitting in my driveway and they're both great in their own aspects.

  • @coldaziceee yup, I agree.

  • @coldazi correction toyota sucks

  • @coldaziceee also comes down to the skill and capability of the driver. :)

  • @coldaziceee i totaly agree

  • @coldaziceee as long as u admid jeeps are better and, realize the fact that toyotas were made from jeeps

  • @RovingLandRover man it usually has everything to do with the driver, the tires ,the torque.piss on what everyone else says is good they are the real indicators

  • @RovingLandRover I'm sure you do......I still see 10 to 1 jeeps over anything else at most rallys tho. That is no coincidence!!! jeeps are better " it's a fucking proven fact" :)

  • @RovingLandRover hahahahaha that was good i gotta say. im not hating on either one by the way...just laughing cause the shitty yoda couldnt make it through the mudhole :) keep on hating! and plz send me more comments, was fun!

  • @RovingLandRover Thats why when you go to an offroad rally it's just full of FJ40s and no jeeps right? proven my ass

  • if you read the caption at the start of the clip you'll see that the jeep is in 2wd the toy is in 4.When you sat toyota,do you say that because it looks cool?

  • @RovingLandRover sadly it can hardly make it through the mudhole :(

  • internet arguments are retarded, winning one is like being king of the shortbus. jeeps and toyota's are both good vehicles both very cable offroad. for what its worth i've owned both.

  • @quinnmcclaw Jeeps are fine if you consider offroading to be class 1 and 2 trails, and don't care if an axle falls off while you're just driving along on the freeway, or if you don't care that your Jeep will likely have a major mechanical failure before 50K miles. Toyota's will last 300K-400K miles easily, and they'll do class 4 trails completely stock with HT tires. And they don't flip or try to kill you in various other ways.

  • Comment removed

  • @RovingLandRover any built vehicle will kill an unbuilt one.

  • all depends on the driver what type tire, weight, power, axles, clearence, and anything could out vs another. FJ40's are cool though but I like Jeeps too!!

  • @RovingLandRover Any FJ > any Jeep, anywhere.

  • @RovingLandRover yeah it looks like that toyota killed the jeep....

  • gobby sack of shit? lol

  • @RovingLandRover Wow. Another "proven fact" on youtube.

  • @RovingLandRover that was an old FJ40 and it showed NOTHING compared to a 2 wheel drive jeep...hell...probably has open diffs as well...the FJ more than likely was locked at both axles

  • @SebastianLong You're not stupid enough to belive this was the same spot both vehicles went thru in the video do you?

  • @SebastianLong Excuses, excuses.

All FJ40's are old moron, the latest models are more than 30 years old. The newer FJ's are that much more capable.

And you rarely need to lock out an FJ, they just go and go and go. Jeep still can't go half the places an FJ will.

  • @verasforzza if it wasnt for jeep and its frame amongst other things that toyota chopped from the jeeps...your toy box wouldnt have half the vehicles it does today...why do you think all land rovers and fj40's of the period looked like the jeep...jeep started in 1941...land rover in 1948...nissan ahead of toyota in 1951 and toyota 4x4's came about in 1954...wonder why jeep is more numourous than any make of 4x4...because they are built for wheelin...not grocery gettin

  • @myfavoritecar1970

  • @myfavoritecar1970 DIGAS LO Q DIGAS EL IDIOTA ERES TU AMIGO,CHECA BIEN TU COMENTARIO Y VERAS PORQ, Y REPSONDO ASÍ PORQUE TENGO UN TOYOTA, LO QUE QUERIA ES QUE LEYERAS,HUBO MAS DE UNA MARCA INMISCUIDA EN LA CREACION DEL JEEP A PETICION DEL EJERCITO AMERICANO Y SI ES ASI, NI EL PROPIO JEEP ES LEGITIMO Y POR ESO NO INSULTO AL JEEP PORQ ES UN AUTO MAGNIFICO,PERO DATE CUENTA QUE EL IMBECIL ERES TU Y NO METAS A MI MADRE AQUI,SI A MI ME ENSEÑO ASI,A TI NO TE ENSEÑO NADA, IGNORANTE APRENDE A RESPETAR

  • @dangrlink jajajajajaja vale idiota

  • only blacks drive landrovers

  • @RovingLandRover Reeeeeaaaaaallllly? Where can I find said documentation?

  • Stock Jeep (any year/model) vs. Stock FJ40 or BJ40 and the Toyota Land Cruiser will out perform in every situation. Now, take a stock Jeep and a goofy looking crap job FJ40 in your cute video......sure. FJ40's are on 1 ton axles. Jeeps have cute little axles. Jeep=Trail Rated, Cruisers=Trail Proven, all over the world.

  • @RovingLandRover if so then why are jeeps still going and rovers are pices of shit evryone knows a jeep not much people know about the fj40s bitch 8==D-- suck it bitch

  • @Kuabana Epic failure douchebag. "No one knows the FJ40?!"

Uhhh, the FJ40 is the quintessential Legendary 4x4, they're one of the most reliable vehicles ever made (400K+ miles is normal, have fun getting to 150K in a Jeep). Land Cruiser is officially the most well traveled and well known vehicle on earth. You obviously don't travel at all, go anywhere in the world, FJ's are king, Jeeps are practically non existent. Go to Africa or Australia and ask for a Jeep, you'll get laughed at.

  • @verasforzza. the more i read the funner your answers get. Go to Africa or Australia and ask for a Jeep, you'll get laughed at. Sorry but jeeps are very well known in Africa, Australia and even in hawaii. a Land Cruiser may be well known around the world but a properly equipped Jeep would go places where a Land Cruiser would never make it to. and i think it has been proven in CHILE. Jeeps are the Better 4x4. get over it.

  • @WedidLandONtheMOON Wrong again shit brains. You clearly haven't travel to the extent that I have. I've led expeditions on every continent, I've seen fat ass American tourists ask for a Jeep for a Safari tour, then get laughed at. And no, even the most customized Jeeps won't/can't go where a Land Cruiser can, it's been proven countless times. A TLC with minor mods has driven to the North Pole, Jeeps with heavy modifications didn't come close. Same with Antarctica, the Gobi, Mt Everest, etc, etc.

  • @WedidLandONtheMOON Yes but the Jeep will need like 50 grand costum build things in it to keep it up with for example a stock 80 series with lockers...

  • Comment removed

  • wow how bout sell those lights and buy some tires LOL

  • awesome fj40, might have showed'em if he didn't have shopping cart wheels on there

  • Fj40 4x4 all the way

  • @RovingLandRover

That's nice, but they don't make FJ40s anymore... Jeep still makes Jeeps and they're better than ever.

  • @jamesjr934 Wrong-o. FJ just stands for Land Cruiser, not only are TLC's still made, but they've gotten better over the years. FJ45, 60, 70, 80, Prado, FJ Cruiser... all are Legendary and all outperform Jeeps by a huge margin. I own an AEV Brute 40" tires (custom super Jeep with about 90% "AEV" and 10% still Jeep). It can't go places that my 1977 FJ40 with 400K+ miles and 35" tires can go. Same goes for my FJ45, 60, 70, 80, FJ Cruiser. I have a custom Unimog and Pinzgauer, Toyota beats them.

  • @verasforzza

Wrong? So you're saying you can go out and buy a bran-new FJ 40 off a Toyota lot? And how does FJ stand for Land Cruiser when there's not a F or J in the words Land Cruiser? So I guess you simply replied to my comment just for the sake of calling me wrong, when I clearly am not. Go fuck yourself!

  • @jamesjr934 Nope, you are wrong. #1, Yes, you can buy a brand new FJ40 I own 2 made this decade, check out "TLC Icon." #2, You can go buy a Land Cruiser at the dealer. #3 Toyota has letter codes for each vehicle series, Land Cruisers are "FJ" for gas engines, and "BJ" for Diesel. Every vehicle that is a Land Cruiser has "FJ somewhere in its name, and every FJ is a Land Cruiser. I alone own custom FJ40, 45, 60, 70, 80, FJ Cruiser and 2 TLC Icon FJ40's.

So, once again, you ARE wrong.

  • @verasforzza

You can buy and FJ but NOT a NEW Toyota FJ40 dilly, FJ40s were made from 1960 until 1984, unless you're still stuck in the 80s. The Icon is not a Toyota, but a company based in Los Angeles, California, clearly I'm talking about a TOYOTA FJ40 not some wanna be.

  • @verasforzza Being an FJ fanboy is an insult to yourself, just stop crying any go back to mall crawling. I own a jeep and i will even admit that a hummer is good for something: it's only good for out performing an FJ.

  • @jamesjr934 if you wanna know, the FJ means it has an "F" series petrol engine in it, being either an F, or a 2F or whatever, the J is for japanese origin i believe. there are also HJ and BJ series landcruisers both diesel, the BJ is the toyota "B" series 4cyl diesel being the 13B.etc and the HJ & HZJ series have the H series 6cyl diesel being H, 2H, 1HZ, 1HDT etc. over here in Australia (assuming you're not Aussie) Jeeps are known as Cheep instead of Jeep because of their build quality....

  • @gutlux87 Well said, and as the saying goes:

"If you want to go into the outback, buy a Jeep. If you want to return from the Outback, buy a Toyota."

  • @gutlux87 nah the "F" stands for fake, and the "J" stands for jeep....close tho ;)

  • @gutlux87 im pretty sure the "J" means jeep. FSJ ->Full Size Jeep (F engine S engine Japanese?)

  • @gutlux87

J stands for jeep. Jeep is a body style and not exactly sure how it became a brand of rig. Kinda like having a truck with the brand name truck.
