This happens on the PS3 version as well, I was making my way round the estate by Marigold Station to get a better shot at some Talon Company Mercs, and when I walked past the last house his face and neck was like 60ft high, and he was still looking around and stuff. And somehow a headshot became more difficult. STRETCH ARMSTRONG!

On PC, if you use the command SetUnconscious on dead body will resurrect it the way that it is, and this stretching might occur. Be aware, that this suck up memory like no tomorrow and will eventually crash your game.

Not really, the physics engine just crapped all over itself, it's a common error just as other crazy bugs in fallout or any other game ... so don't worry about melting gfx cards or any bullcrap like that.
