its not the disk or TV its the console, there's no need to throw the console away its cause gta 4 has to many thing on it which cause the ps3 or 360 to overload, u cant fix the problem by deleting stuff or by cleaning the disk its the not the disk itself or the consol its just dat their is to many thing on gta4 trade it in 4 something bettr(like their is anything bettr)

Hey I think this is a problem with the CD game. By the production of many GTA IV exemplares can be a mistake or Error. I mean That in your GTA IV CD was not all good programmed. I heard from other players who have PS3, that GTA IV has damaged PS3.

hmm i heard about the frezzing problem yesturday and im surprized that mines havent fromze yet i boght the game the day it came out in california and i am currently on the level called a "long way to fall" which is on the third island the longest i played was about 4 hours and it ran fine my ps3 i bought in late november of 06 one of the first and its the 60 gig my internet is always on and i have about a couple demos loaded on it i also downloaded a ps2 patch that lets you play ps2 games..

A freeze happened for me some days ago, it fucked my PS3 :( i was just driving around (finished story and that) and opened the telephone for some MP actions, then it freezed. i restarted PS3 and it couldnt read any disc, so sad... its now in sony, hope its back soon.

I dont blame rockstar/sony anyway. they both made awesome things.

same here, it locked once when i was signed into the PSN. don't auto sign in, EJECT the disc before turning the PS3 off (that's where it will kill the blu-ray if you don't) and so far it's been 40+hrs happy GTA fun. 60Gb BC PAL PS3.
