I think Luke is a very good singer. "Bright Eyes", being such a slow and serious song would not be my first choice of a song for a 9 year old to sing. I'd like to hear how Luke sounds today, singing (in 2009) that song by Bread that he used to sing so well in 2007.

It seems fairly obvious the pitch is way too low for him as he's struggling to reach the F-sharps and Gs below middle C. The comfort zone for a 9-year-old ought to be at least a fifth higher.
