Very appropriate that Wisconsites sing about buttercups at their football games. Bunch of fat asses they are, singing about fatty foods and cheese, lugging KFC to munch on while they drive around in their minivans with their fat bellies pressing up against the steering wheels. State pride is enforced, because there's nothing to be pride of in that state.

I'm a life-long Gopher fan, but i've been to a couple games at Camp Randall and it's an amazing time. I love the rivalry with Wisconsin because their fans are fun. Now that Minny has a stadium (and hopefully a solid team soon) to be proud of, it will start to get as fun as Sconnie. Go Gophers! we do love to beat up "On Wisconsin!" :o) I'll be in Madison next weekend for some hockey. Can't wait!

Wisconsin does sing Roll Out the Barrel sometimes and I know we'd refuse to sing a song about the lack of beer anywhere. Also this is shot on the wrong side of the field so it sounds really quiet. The student section (where it's sung loudest) is under the scoreboard.

You work with what you're given. The Camp Randall staff is too stupid to realize that pumping in canned music over the PA absolutely kills atmosphere at sporting events. The students make do with it as best as they can (by singing, or dancing/jumping along).

At UW hockey games, they don't pump music in over the PA. All the sounds you hear are cheering, singing and the pep band. That's how it should be at EVERY sporting event.

After UW hockey games, I can't even enjoy going to pro games

I'm aware of 5th Quarter. I've been to 5th Quarter. I went to football games for 5 seasons as a student. All 5,000 people who stick around for 5th quarter enjoy it, but it'd be nice to have more of that during the game.
