Dungeys first pro race, he led the first 17 laps, to later be passes by Stewart. On the last lap he was side by side Stewart and barely lost. Not bad for his FIRST pro race. Now he's won 4 staight and is in better shape than JS. Coincidentally, he is trained by RC. Dungey has been blowing away Chad Reed, the same guy that JS has trouble with. FACT
Dungey isn't my hero. I root for Mike Alessi. Riding a 350 and still getting holeshots and finishing in the top 5. I personally don't like watching the 4 strokes all that much. The two strokes are just more exciting to watch and ride, in my opinion.
JS is an exciting racer, but the races have been pretty exciting, even though the action has been the fights for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th. Alessi getting the holeshot consistently on the 350 shows that maybe 250 two strokes can make a comeback, since the AMA won't change the handicapped rules. Total BS. This weekend, Mike Leveait (sp) will attempt to qualify in a new 200:1 mix ration two stroke Yamaha YZ250. That's what I'll be looking for.

RC went out on top. JS has no drive anymore. He's a quitter and will continue to injur himself because he takes too many risks. JS takes a LOTof risks. That's why he WAS faster in a few races, but still got beat by RC, but RC definitely was and is the better racer. JS is one wreck away from ending his career, not just his season. RC could have been even faster at the expense of riding carelessly, and at his point in his career, he had nothing left to prove. RC>JS
There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity. RC didn't cross that and ended his career the greatest of all time. He was much smarter racer. JS will end his career injured.
Yeah, but reailty TV shows, and endorsements don't make you the greatest of all time. Consistency, overall wins and shampionships do. JS tries to be 10% faster than the rest and risks injury when he could be more consistent and healthy just by being 1% faster. He'll have a career ending injury or the next phenom will force him to retire early.
'06' MX RC once again dominated all comers, including James Stewart, in winning 9 races and placing second twice. However, at the season finale at Glen Helen Raceway, RC crashed while challenging James Stewart for the win and was unable to finish the race. Fortunately though, Carmichael had already clinched the overall championship at the prior round. In the crash, he sustained a shoulder injury and was unable to compete in the Motocross of Nations race in England.
In 2002 RC completed the first ever 24 of 24 wins in MX. In 2003 RC won both SX and MX titles. 2004 SX, RC was out with a knee injury allowing Reed to win. 2004 MX RC won 24 of 24 MX races again. 2005 Rc takes another SX Title. 2005 MX RC wins 22 of 24 motos, on an RM250 also lead team usa to a win in des nations. 2006 was close between RC, Reed and JS with RC winning the title. He indicated that 2006 would be his last full-time season and planned to retire the following year.

Bubba Stewart in my opinion has the most talent of the current batch of Motocrossers. If his conditioning is there.... Ryan is going down. reed is great rider but annoys me. i love james stewart- stewart's become a media whore and a sell-out, but the guy can ride. and who can blame him for spending his money? but he's not hungry anymore and he seems burnt out. now he has to focus too much on business commitments and he doesnt like it. i root for alessi. his dad is annoying as hell, but he pushes his son to be the best and mike eats it up. i predict alessi will have championshionship if he can stay healthy. thats a big if.

Dungeys first pro race, he led the first 17 laps, to later be passes by Stewart. On the last lap he was side by side Stewart and barely lost. Not bad for his FIRST pro race. Now he's won 4 staight and is in better shape than JS. Coincidentally, he is trained by RC. Dungey has been blowing away Chad Reed, the same guy that JS has trouble with. FACT

JS is an exciting racer, but the races have been pretty exciting, even though the action has been the fights for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th. Alessi getting the holeshot consistently on the 350 shows that maybe 250 two strokes can make a comeback, since the AMA won't change the handicapped rules. Total BS. This weekend, Mike Leveait (sp) will attempt to qualify in a new 200:1 mix ration two stroke Yamaha YZ250. That's what I'll be looking for.

RC went out on top. JS has no drive anymore. He's a quitter and will continue to injur himself because he takes too many risks. JS takes a LOTof risks. That's why he WAS faster in a few races, but still got beat by RC, but RC definitely was and is the better racer. JS is one wreck away from ending his career, not just his season. RC could have been even faster at the expense of riding carelessly, and at his point in his career, he had nothing left to prove. RC>JS

Yeah, but reailty TV shows, and endorsements don't make you the greatest of all time. Consistency, overall wins and shampionships do. JS tries to be 10% faster than the rest and risks injury when he could be more consistent and healthy just by being 1% faster. He'll have a career ending injury or the next phenom will force him to retire early.

'06' MX RC once again dominated all comers, including James Stewart, in winning 9 races and placing second twice. However, at the season finale at Glen Helen Raceway, RC crashed while challenging James Stewart for the win and was unable to finish the race. Fortunately though, Carmichael had already clinched the overall championship at the prior round. In the crash, he sustained a shoulder injury and was unable to compete in the Motocross of Nations race in England.

In 2002 RC completed the first ever 24 of 24 wins in MX. In 2003 RC won both SX and MX titles. 2004 SX, RC was out with a knee injury allowing Reed to win. 2004 MX RC won 24 of 24 MX races again. 2005 Rc takes another SX Title. 2005 MX RC wins 22 of 24 motos, on an RM250 also lead team usa to a win in des nations. 2006 was close between RC, Reed and JS with RC winning the title. He indicated that 2006 would be his last full-time season and planned to retire the following year.
