It was a miracle because it was predicted to happen on a certain date by 3 children who said that Mary, the mother of Jesus, told them that something will happen to make the people believe on that date. Lucia's mother and father did not believe her but 50,000 people showed up to see a predicted miracle and it happened.

@sinterminator You are free to waste your time and money on "god", but don't you in any way force me or others to do so. It is WRONG and IMMORAL to lock people or in ANY way inhibit them from having a full atheistic life merely because you don't like what they say. You are not mentally capable of computing the consequences of actions.
If you eat meat, for example, and vegan alternatives are available, then you are a bad person, because you needlessly murder animals. THAT matters. Not god.
