I have to say it is very impressive that you have been able to transcribe this to cello and play it so creatively. I only feel that the cello is not a suitable instrument for this piece of music. Some phrases (like the high harmonics and full chords) sound really out of place. Also, letting multiple strings ring simultaniously sounds like a bag pipe.

hands down to anyone who can play the cello! I use to play the violin and would have to look now again to make sure my fingers were right, plus the cello and base are A Lot heavier!

Like no lie, when i was 12, i was able to play this song without any mistakes. they called me some kid prodigy. so i quite then i picked up another cello this year, and now im back to my old ways. still this is my favorite song too. i lost my sheet music though.

@FruitLoopB2rai - I know this version. It has unfortunately not much to do with the composition as such. It's just the theme in 1st position. I have students who play it at that age. I am sure you played it very well! G.

I Thought playing on Guitar was difficult. This looks and sounds much harder. especially the triplets and expression in the middle (slower part) sound tricky and difficult on Cello. Sounds good and thanks for posting. Now if there could be a duo with guitar.

ive been playing cello since 7th grade and im a senior now and i think i could learn in it in about a month, its only fast, it has namyu repeats and repitions, and great vibrator and harmonys, the only thing would be getting the high notes, but it woulndt take much for me....

Always good to find a cellobuddy! I can't give a fair answer. I had played Asturias for 30 years on guitar by memory, in concerts, on CD etc. After trying different keys and options I transcribed it and could play it, in some weeks by memory. The fast part is repetitive and easy to learn, the slow section has tricky parts and is harder on intonation. The high harmonics sometimes don't come when the fingers are sweaty or too dry, even when you know where they are.
