@lost4ymy1soul No, it's "Zadok the Priest" by Handel, although it may sound similar to something by Bach. This piece is played by orchestra and sung by choir for the coronation of British monarchs, beginning with George II.
Well, done, and yes, obviously the tempo is fast, but this guy is quite obviously a trained musician who is well aware of the original tempo who just changed it to his interpretation, if we always played music the correct and original style and tempo we would never have something that all classical composers enjoyed called, variation. The original calls for a choir and orchestra as well, ha! Some folks really need to think before they post. Wonderful Job!
The first part of this piece is almost like a Bach's "Ave Maria", very soft, misterious and calm. Afffftttterrr, almost reaching the Chorus part it's time to do an accelerando and a crescendo. Don't you think so?
How very strange! Perhaps if I didn't already associate this piece with gravitas and majestic subtlety I might have liked it. By the end I was wondering if this wasn't Handel played in style of Debussy! Claire de Coronation perhaps? ;-)
I'm always amazed by the cool things (and people!) I find on YouTube. This solo piano performance was yet another! Thanks for posting it. I've gotta find a copy of Zadok for the piano. Have you ever tried performing this as a solo organ (large pipe organ only please!) piece?
Yes he may speed up, but i think the speed suits the way in which he is playing this, also i think it is silightly eaiser to speed up when not playing with an orchestra or a quior. i think this piece is more suited to an organ as a solo instrument rather than a piano
i kno, and as one musician to another im saying its hard to play unacompanied when your playing a piece that is meant for an orchestra, im not saying it was bichy
Thankyou for such virtuosity. Your sensitive playing passed my eyes closed test where I could see handel playing this piece but it was you. Jim Howard Luton England
Beautifully played.

@FRAGIORGIO1 Absolutely right. I think lost4ymy1soul is reminded of Bach's prelude in C major, BWV 846 (Präludium in C-Dur) :)

Do you know where i can find the sheet music for this?

It'a amazing, can you send me the sheets for it?

Very Very Good but :
1. the first part of the piece (orchestral introduction) must be more staccato because there's no liaisons.
2. when choir arrived, on the contrary, keep the speed and do a crescendo.
Just try ;-)

Technically well done, still, it didn't grab me. I didn't feel anything form this performance but that the musician is highly efficient.
