@vikingsmb Icy, damp rails, small loco, heavy load and gradient...it all adds to the spectacle, ....with or without sand...Thanks for your comment....Bob
Excellent video as usual Bob, 1450 looks fantastic on the Gwili Railway, shame they could not get more use out of it. Also very well filmed by you with great locations and some superb lighting, liked.
Superb video Bob, looked like another excellent day for filming. It lookes so cool when the locomotive is surrounded by all that steam. Another deserved thumbs up from me.
@noelist Thanks Leon, this current spell of bad weather is holding things back, but the other new gate will be in place as soon as it can be done...Bob
I know Mike, more senior moments...it's rushing to get them edited, and the type is very small at that stage...That's my excuse anyway....thanks for your kind support...Bob
Lovely video Bob; it must have been a real pleasure filming this - the opening sequences were highly evocative. Some more beautiful Welsh light again - and a visiting GWR engine. Great stuff. Thanks for making this one and sharing it with us.
Wonderful conditions and a smashing little looco superbly captured. This just looks so much fun - I'd bet the footplate crew enjoyed themselves. Chris
I have to say that this is probally one of the finest of films taken of 1450, in terms of how you capture the loco in such a fine scope, best sun glints and sounds giving an atmosperic scene throughout. 1450 is a really nice little engine.
@GreatWestern175 Thanks Ry, that's very kind of you to say so, and I appreciate it greatly....the weather conditions have been perfect, and this much travelled little engine is proving very popular...Bob
Another impressive video of the Gwilli, Bob. The clarity of your camera takes some beating- I could even see the slight trickle of sand from the rear sander. The driver did an excellent job, keeping it all moving under those conditions, without excessive slipping...Mervyn
I commented this morning, but YT was having the sulks! It's great film, Bob and I love the use you make of back and side-lighting. You appear to have left about half an hour before I arrived! Hope you enjoyed the Sunday Lunch - you deserved it! . . Alan
@balmesh This message was marked as spam Alan, so I've only just opened it....This camera of mine does an excellent job in all lighting conditions...and produces startling images at times....I just point and shoot...Bob

Great shots!! Love that shot of 1450 pulling the stock into Bronwydd Arms...reminds me of a scene from The Titfield Thunderbolt! Great work as always...5*
@SBsteamtrainvideos Thanks very much for your kind comments, and you're quite right, there are similarities with the Titfield Thunderbolt..what a classic...Bob
Another great video Bob. I guess the early sequences of the slipping on the rails must test the driver's skills! Some well chosen view points along the way make this a memorable video. And I think 1450 has real style.
@108Robcatt Once again a big thank you for your kind comments Rob, and may I take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year...Bob
He did an excellent job in the first two sequences of keeping the train on the move. These small locos have very large driving wheels for their size, and with three coaches are prone to slip. Sand was applied to get the train out of the siding...Thanks for your comments..Bob
@iantrack Ideal for small branch lines, but the Gwili has steep gradients and run trains of three or more heavily loaded coaches at this time of year, hence the assistance from D2178....Bob
I love the close-up view of the wheels

what they should of done in my opinion is do a couple of light engine runs up and down to get the ice off the track. and sand it as well.
