Pretty good. It's a tough shot to play for sure and I like how you're in the nets with no helmet!
You can also play the Square drive standing up- but the ball either has to be wide of off-stump or with the natural angle going across the batsman). You can play it like any other drive (using the top hand mainly or by using the wrists.
Allan Border was the best at the 1st way of playing it standing up and Gundappa Viswanath the 2nd IMO.
You look familiar btw, do you live in the Bromley area?
actually another way to play the same ball with same amount of risk-reward is to go a bit further as if cover driving, let the ball come onto the bat and open the face towards point at contact with the wrists.
The advantage is if there is late swing (both in and out) once you have committed to the squat it's damn bloody hard to leave or block.
"watching the ball all the way onto the bat" is that even scientifically possible, maybe for the pull or late cut against very slow bowling - bloody hard if it were any straight bat shot; perhaps "stay looking where you think you made contact for a little longer", or "watch the ball as long as you can" . Such incorrect cliches held cricket coaching back for too long.
Notwithstanding this, the narration accompanying the demo was really accurate - could really benefit many young kids.
concentrate on getting your lead elbow high by driving the top hand through the ball for longer and not turning the bat face, also see my cricket batting coaching tips videos
using your wrists effectively are great ways to get power into your shots especialy drives, but don't use them 2 soon, look 2 use vertical bat shots without flicking your wrists early on to ensure u hit the ball out of the middle.
visit my site and subscribe everything is in there....the youtube videos are a tiny bit of the videos and coaching we do....all shots have drills and tips attached, and yes the coach hits live balls also

that is why you must make the correct read in the 1st place, watching the ball all the way onto the bat is key in batting
