  • Do Not forget to change your oil 50-100 miles after seafoaming it will thin your oil out

  • how do you clean the intake plenum? or when you put it in the vacum hose from the brake booster u are cleaning the intake plenum too?? good video thank you

  • do you really need 2 cans, or would 1/3 all the way around be good with 1 can?

  • I would just change the oil 3 times after maybe 500, 1000, then 1500 miles to remove contaminants and revitalize parts. Then run a high quality 10W-30 synthetic and change every 3-4k. All the smoke is just from a flooded engine. Carbon deposits are black, so unless your seeing this coming out of the tailpipe or a black buildup at the edges of your tailpipes, I highly doubt your removing any deposit buildup

  • very informative

  • Come On! Give it the beans!

  • What part of South Carolina are you from?

  • i just bought 2 cans for my mitsubishi gto TT. I really need to put some decent oil in too. So shall i do this seafoam application and then change the oil, But when after should i change the oil? Any help would be great. Thanks guys

  • @jaystallwood You do NOT want to change the oil immediately. It kind of defeats the purpose of putting it in there to clean it. ;) But, I would NOT go any more than 300 miles from the time you put it in there because it does eventually make the oil all nasty and whatnot. lol

  • i just seafoamed my 3000 and the naibors called the fire dpt

  • what does sea foaming it do?

  • @ashykristin

Seafoam is a chemical additive that's supposed to help clean out your engine. You can mix with the motor oil shortly before changing it to clean out your crankcase, you can mix it with your gasoline to clean your fuel injectors, or pour it into your air intake to clean out your valves. I've done all that, and personally I don't think it really does anything except produce a lot of smoke.

  • Great video, i just seafomed my 3000gt... thanks

  • HE FORGOT TO MENTION THAT YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR OIL AFTER YOU DRIVE IT YOU SHOULD NOT DRIVE IT FOR MORE THAN 30 MILES WITH THE SEAFOAM IN THE OIL

  • sooo all seafoam does is clean the bad carbon out of ur engine?

  • will the seafoam start dissolving the plastic cups?

  • lov you thats my old dodge stealth

  • i totally did it wrong. only did the gas tank..then drove it like 3min later XD!

  • 2 cans is too much!! only use one can, 1/3 in ur oil. 1/3 in ur gas tank, 1/3 in the vaccum

  • I seafoamed my '91 SOHC today. Thanks Blaine!

  • is it required that the oil be changed afterward? and what happens if the oil isn't changed? (good video by the way 5/5)

  • @Jason372485 did you ever get an answer to this? I was wondering this as well...

  • too bad you got the SOHC but very clean. I have a DOHC and love it to death but man these cars can be a handfull.

  • @zerophil6969 sorry that, that guy has a SOHC and too bad you have a DOHC. i have a DOHC R/T TT..... now this car can be a handful! lol

  • wow u picked a nice windy day to do this but good vid

  • Nice and clean video, really explains it all. Cool car and yeah, great video.

    5/5

Oh by the way, very nice how you did the step-by-step filming.

  • Great video man! Really wish you had a Starion, or that I still had my 3000gt SL!!!

  • where is the brake booster line located on a 91 3000gt?

  • wat camera do u use

  • isnt there a check valve?

  • @cronz305 yes on the twin turbo version of the car but the check valves are meant to keep the boost in, so they are in the wrong direction to stop you from pouring stuff in.

  • Thx...I have that exact car you have even same color...Will try it tomorrow...

  • Excellent video. Very well done, and put together.

    Top Notch!!

  • Yea, thanks man, i have a 91 stealth, I heard about the seafoaming, but i thought it was alot more difficult than this!! thanks for showin us 3s noobs a great how too!!

  • Cool.

  • great tutorial for guys who dont know what they are 5 stars

  • Great tutorial! I'll be doing this to my Stealth later on before I do my oil change.

  • thats great bro, 5 star video AMAZING.. i will be doing this to my stealth !

  • I just wanna know... did you change the oil after the seafoam treatment? is this necessary?

  • Yes, quite necessary. Change the oil between 50 and 100 miles after the treatment.

  • i've done this but i don't get any white smoke at my exhaust...its just nothing on it...what it means?? idk...

  • I take it this would work on all cars. I wouldnt mind doing this to my turbo fiero, maybe it will help with fuel economy cause its killing me.

  • Wow! This is a great tutorial! Much appreciation for making it. Very nice transitions too.

  • thanks for the awesome tutorial!!!

my 3000gt loves those high rpms and i def feel a restore in power
