I have a red 89 scorpio. They are under powered by the same 2.9 used in the early ford rangers and use a very fragile a4ld transmission. Slow off the line but they can get up to 140 mph. I am planning a 302 swap into mine cause I lost the transmission
@Organicchickenlady I am sorry that you miss your Scorpio, but I hope that you had good luck with it. I am just wondering, what color was it and do you think that it is still running today?
@SmithAndrew1985 Ours was an '89 and was brown with brown leather interior. I know it is no longer on the road. The flex plate between the transmission the motor broke off. It had 220,000 miles on it when we junked it. :o(
The pilot is Jackie Stewart , a former Scottish Formula One Champion in the '70s. For more , read this : ''Sir John Young Stewart, OBE[2] (born 11 June 1939), better known as Jackie Stewart, and nicknamed The Flying Scot, is a Scottish former racing driver and team owner. He competed in Formula One between 1965 and 1973, winning three World Drivers' Championships. He also competed in Can-Am. '' About the car itself , is very rare , indeed , I have one , too and I like it very much !
Who is racing driver?? He must from Scotland. famous Scotland racing driver he was AD on mk2 ford capris in 70s with his pretty wife Dara Kinsella (Dublin. Ireland)
