What I have a problem with is how many times the bible has been translated,some of the greek and hebrew words have a new meaning,what they ment back then, don't have the same meaning today.
I've read portions of these "missing books" and it didn't take long to realize that they didn't add up. One book more than suggests that God helped someone lie. The "Book of Jasher" is mentioned 2x's in the Bible. What are your thoughts on it's "honorable mention" even though the book itself was excluded?
@LaDiva411 I've done deep research on the book of Enoch so far. And that adds up definitley to what the bible says reffering Enoch as a prophet. Read Jude verse 14.
But know where in the bible does it give his prophesy.
It didn't take long at all after reading parts of these "missing books" to see that they don't line up with the Bible at all. One book even suggests that God helped someone lie. My question is about "the book of Jasher". It's mentioned 2x's that I know of in the KJV. What are your thoughts on this book getting "honorable mention" (if you will) even though it's not included?
Sorry ran out of room. This is a serious question and I'm not talking about the lost books your talking about. (well I hope there not the same) but still why does the original 1611 KJV have 80 and then and now our current KJV have 14 books taken out?
@subzero1456 There are 66 "books" in the KJV and other major versions accepted by Protestants, such as the NIV, NASB, ESV, etc. The original KJV of 1611 contained what the Protestants refer to as "the Apocrypha," which is a collection of books that were written in the Intertestamental Period, between Malachi and Christ. The evidence is that they were not inspired by God, and so were excluded from the canon in many Bibles.
How many books are in the KJV Bible? 'which' edition are we talking about? The way it started and ended, or the way it was in-between? It started out with 80 books; then had 66; now it has 80 again. (depending on bible version or, however-many books they've decided comprise the Apocrypha...I've also read that that number is not always certain and static, by the scholars...as they wrangle as to which books belong, and which don't) The King James 1611 Edition, Even the original 1611 had 80 books.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
You're right, it might be an excuse to not read the bible.
Also people are trying to prove it wrong but it's the most important book.
If there are missing books, the bible or the books of the bible does not need anything to solve a puzzle or to answer a question relation to it. Like in the book of Isaiah it saith:
Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

Jesus said, "Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you.
For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed. [And there is nothing buried that will not be raised.]"
