  • Great lady, certainly the best Prime Minister this country has ever had, she rescued our economy from decline, brought from the socialist ideology and the trade union scum. Today, many people say that they support socialism, but they do not know what it really is, it is a good ideology, but once considering the history of it in practice, we can see that it is not a credible economic principle. From 1970-74, Britain was held to ransom by the self-centered unions, from 74=79, it was lead by them.

  • I'm not British, neither was I even born yet when Thatcher was PM. Could someone give me an educated response to this question: Why did Thatcher bring about the poll tax? What was the reason for it? - Any educated response (not one that's just going to say 'because she's stupid') but an educated answer would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

  • @57595153Nick The poll tax was seen as a community tax, which meant that everyone regardless of income has to pay an equal share for living here and receiving the basic public services they all needed e.g. refuge collecting.

  • she speaks of freedom...you have the freedom, under a consevative gov. to be poor, unemplyed, stagnate wages, no hope of healthcare (at lwat in the U.S.), allowed to be sacked by your employer when they see fit to allow them to make more money..oh yes..consevatic=ves allow you your FREEDOM indeed!! when poor and middle class threaten strike, it is to allow them more of wht the wealty have. when the wealthy obtain greater wealth, it's justified, the poor ask for it, it's called socialism!

  • 45 people don't know what socialism did for Britain in the 1970's.

  • @PortVienna80 more likely is 46 people live in the north, where manufacturing is now dead, and thus sky high unemployment. if you saw what thatcher did to places like liverpool and yorkshire then you wouldn't support her.

  • i salute you maggie thatcher! with my middle finger!

  • The female Gordon Gekko.

  • She has such a soothing voice.

No joke btw, its really calming

  • she is then reason why nobody can afford a house nowdays

  • @matchbox555 too bad....greed is good and the unions were crushed....a wonderful time

  • Ain't this bitch dead yet, Thaterite policies have done nothing for this nation apart from leave it close to being bankrupt. The same policies were taken over by the labour government and we are now all in the shit. Privatisation of our medical facilities means that I now have to wait two weeks to see a doctor when I only used to have to wait 20 minutes. The selling of of council homes has proven a disaster as private landlords come in and charge extortionate prices. Short term profitability ?

  • She sold off the gas and electricity that we are now paying through the nose for she caused more unemployment that all other governments put together

  • She had an intellectual integrity and unwavering vision that politicians today would do well to learn from. Thank you, Thatcher, for standing in the gap in your day.

  • MY HERO!

  • It's Thatcher's 'do it for you and you alone' policys when it comes to economic and buissness problems which have effectivly assisted our country in plunging into recession various times since her election

  • That is utter nonsense and you know it. How does selfishness cause a recession? Using your logic, we would be in recession in perpetuity wouldn't we, because if someone is greedy, that greed doesn't oscillate, it is mostly constant. The 1981 recession was the result of the inflation left by Callaghan and Healey, for Mrs Thatcher had to squeeze it out of the economy, and in 1989, Lawson let the money supply loose against Mrs T's wishes.

  • Mrs thatcher was a grocer daughter what background you are from you can make something of yourself if you are poor or rich you can work your way up

  • she started the whole sell off, inviting private parasites to dictate public services and redicule the people to a life of slavery.

  • @punkhed101 Would you rather opt to be a private slave or a salve working for the government burecrats.

  • If Margaret Thatcher was any good she would have got us out of the EEC in 1983 - but no - even though she knew the terrible cost of EEC membership she kept us in it. Both the Conservative and Labour political parties sponge off the general taxpayer and peddle bullshit via their BBC state propaganda news agency on a daily basis. Let's have a bit of democracy for a change starting with a referendum on our membership of the criminally corrupt European Union project that is costing us £billions.

  • guardian.co.uk/politics/2009/apr/11/germaine-greer-margaret-thatcher-anniversary

And she makes me sick when she speaks of freedom. Clause 28 was totalitarian. Nothing more, nothing less than that.

  • Is that Enoch Powell narrating the video? Sounds alot like him

  • @omid145 Tell you who it is : it's actor Anthony Quayle. If you're old enough you will know him from movies

  • @TheKenfig ahhh yes, the guy in ''Ice Cold in Alex''

  • @omid145 Yes and Guns Of Navarone etc etc. Very distinctive voice on him wasn't there. But funny how when you first heard this, as I did only this evening I was trying to match the voice in my mind for a few minutes knowing the voice well but initially unable to match it without the face. First I thought 'who IS this ?', then 'James Mason ?' but that wasn't quite right in my mind until the answer came to me

  • Well done Mrs Thatcher!

  • @RichardElden Exactly

  • Britain's on the right track. Don't turn back!

  • 1:31 When did this happen?

  • @TV1Totoya 1980. It's the Iranian embassy siege.

  • How wrong all those people were, and because of her and the successive goverments after her my generation (im 16) will suffer untold hardship in the future.

  • @TheDevineBeing You have no concept of history whatsoever. I'm so sick of left-wing Brits and ignorant students with no concept of history whinging about everything. I came here 3 months ago, and I have a full-time, decent paying job. I have claimed no benefits, nor will I likely put any burden on the state (considering I am quite healthy, and probably will not have children). Opportunity is there if you're willing to work for it.

  • @TheDevineBeing The fact that Thatcher halved unemployment in 4 years, the fact that she brought down interest rates and unemployments, ended the debilitating strikes that had made Britain an economic basket case, gave the UK its pride back, is a total blank to you because all you know is the ignorant propaganda and baseless assertions of popular culture.

Obviously you prefer a total non-entity like the Millipede compared to a woman of profound courage and conviction. You can't argue wit sucess

  • Did Thatcher know William Hague is a closet gay !................

  • Does anybody know who the voice is?

It sounds like the late Ian Bannen, who was Jim Prideaux in BBC Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy in 1979..

It is in the way he says "Alvis is irreplaceable" in TTSP and "Prime Minister is indispensable" at 3.15

  • She said she'd do it, and she did. Margaret Thatcher was simply the greatest post-War Prime Minister this country has had.

  • I don't like her at all but she has a really lovely speaking voice!

  • Problem with socialism is, you eventually run out of money because you keep giving out handouts. This is the problem with trying to give everyone a fair share sort of speak. Conservative is much fairer, work and you get paid its that simple not laze around and get money from the handouts.

  • 2:13 You can tell that balls is the word he is looking for. Good job Maggie, you gritted your teeth and did what had to be done.

  • Contrary to popular belief, the Tory Party has never espoused a genuinely conservative ideology. Even under Margaret Thatcher, government expenditure was raised and the public sector increased.

  • Comment removed

  • I just love this woman.

  • If people won't vote for bnp (or ukip) in the next election, then they should quit whinging because they obviously are happy that there is a permanent seesaw problem that will never ever go away, seeing as we can't even govern or finance ourselves properly under the EU influence. If the public are too stupid to see that, then so be it. IHopefully 'll be emigrated long long before this country turns into an illegal immigrant and unemployed ridden hole!! Oh, wait a minute......

  • It's hilarious hearing people say the Labour government from 97 to 2010 were 'Golden years' . The billions they gave to the EU & foreign aid has caused a gigantic defecit which I would say the tories are trying to put right, except they then go and get involved with Libya! Neither of them get it, so voting bnp and taking us out of the EU is the only way if we are serious about saving the mess that we are in.

  • @robwtsn106 billy elliot is a work of fiction

  • Although I am a liberal/social democrat, I dont have such a hate against the Conservatives as some people do. But Thatcher I think is the cause of the vast majority of this country's social problems and although her economic reforms were necessary to a certain extent, they were implemented in completely the wrong way which in the end led to the recession of the late 2000's.

  • why do some people have such a problem with margret thatcher may i ask? because watching this video makes me think that actually she was a bloody good priminister?!

  • @19189073 sorry, you was right. i should realy stop listing to my left wing family. But i do support cameron and Clegg. :)

  • @19189073 ..........I noticed that you say thatcherism 'WORKED' ,maybe for you.......what about all the others that it did'nt work for?? And by the way, as far as i am concerned she is a heartless old bastard. The thing that gets me with you tories is that you constantly blame LABOUR for everthing( did Labour cause this crisis is GREECE, PORTUGAL, IRELAND?....NO! and i am NOT a labour supporter. The only thing John Major did well was to shag EDWINA CURRIE! Typical glib tory comments!!!!!!!!

  • She was evil but she's not a patch on this Lucifer Cameron.

  • If you look at the track record of both parties, you can clearly see that every time Labour have been in office, the economy has gone shit.

  • Terrible news about Margaret Tatcher isnt it? The Bitch is still alive, oh well that means theres still enough time for her to be assassinated

  • @brookvr guessing you're a scouser or yorkshireman then?

  • spoiled many a life this evil person ..greed etc ... no hope ,, thatcher ,,but she is mortal ha ha ...

  • I HATE THIS OLD BASTARD..............I HATE TORIES/LIB DEMS............YOU ARE SCUM WHO DONT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT ANYBODY BUT YOUR OWN!!

I HOPE SHE ROTS IN HELL!

  • @MrJazzaman1 agreed man i hope thatcher dies a painful death she is a bitch

  • @joejmd90 .............................. thanks for your reply my friend. She encouraged greed and avarice on a never seen before scale, she put profit before people, devasted communities, turned worker against worker, wiped out certain industries for good...........and now this prick cameron (a coke-head) who wont tell us the truth about his previous drug-use, wants us to buy into his idea of the big society???!! we are all in this together?? Fuck you cameron................Cheers mate for reply.

  • Elements of her leadership were OK, but I can't believe that people feel New Labour did so badly. With the exception of the Iraq war, hey did really well. We will look back one day and realise that Britain was in a golden age from 1997 to 2009. Crime is at an all time low, not the perception, but real crime. Standards of living are higher than ever, but the public sector is bearing the brunt of the bankers' mistakes of the past few years. The Con Dems are trying to pull back the deficit too soon

  • @robbish1963 The reason people were so dissapointed with the New Labour govt. was primarily because they tried to be all things to all men. As a political party, they were exceptional at winning elections and news cycles but when it came to actually governing - which has to involve making decisions which some people will dislike - they left a lot to be desired, because time and time again they shyed away from making tough/unpopular decisions that had to be made.

  • @UnitedBritannia Yup pretty much - they were too afraid of taking sensible but difficult decisions at home seemed more than able to make such decisions with foreign policy

  • @coveneyr Yes, Blair was prepared to send our troops into war more so than any other Prime Minister of the 20th Century, but his government wasn't prepared to pay the bills for his mis-adventures and so we had the total and utter disgrace of British service men and women entering into conflicts without even the proper equipment and eventually (under Brown) absoloutley no political leadership. Labour's record on the armed forces is an absolute abomination + they should never be forgiven.

  • @UnitedBritannia I could not agree more! All the best

  • @robbish1963 You only have to look at Labour's total and utter failure to address welfare reform and the crucial modernisation of our public services to find examples of how adverse they were to taking on vested interests and to challenging the establishment. They simply didn't have the stomach to be the radical government we needed to prepare our country for the 21st century - and that was their abject failure.

  • @robbish1963 As for the deficit cutting program, I think it's important to get this into perspective. What the coalition is proposing is reducing govt. spending to the levels of about 5 years ago. I don't recall anyone saying the sky was going to fall in and that we would be entering into a period of Armageddon when Gordon Brown presented the spending figures for those years. "Nasty Tories making nasty cuts" is such a well versed narrative it's just been lazily adopted, regardless of the facts.

  • @robbish1963 Further, there is nothing - absoloutley nothing - progressive about shackling future generations with the crushing burden of govt. debt and there is nothing kind about spending more on debt interest than schools and hospitals. Neither is there anything compassionate about allowing the poorest in society to languish on benefits and encouraging them (through the tax system) to rely on state subsidy as opposed to employment.

  • @robbish1963 The future of this country will be a great one - but only if we have politicians with the courage to deal with these deep seated problems (nearly all of which are Labour's appalling legacy). The private sector took (and will take) more of a hit than the public sector, by the wayri. Govt. spending doesn't aid economic recovery - U.S. has govt. spending out of control and their economy is an unmitigated disaster zone. Govt. can't create prosperity through hand outs or bail outs.

  • @UnitedBritannia True. in Canada we never gave any corporations bailouts. although the conservativegovernment wanted to luckily beacause of thier minority status the Liberals (official opposition) blocked the law

  • @robbish1963 golden age?????????????try geting a job,or having a point of view,or going out for a pint...new labour invented chavs, newspeak and the rights of the civil servant over the people who use the services. the standard of living under nulabour at an all time low...try living in the real world mate,I used to be a socialist and I realised it smells bad...libertarianism can only exist in a conservative britain, cos under socialism we are all politically incorrect....

  • @robbish1963

I think everybody realises now how good the Labour government 1997-2010 was, especially under Tony Blair. The 2000's were far more prosperous years than the 80's and coupled with this, people were much happier.

  • @robbish1963 part of labour's legacy will be a huge public debt, like it or not

  • @robbish1963 mass immigration. End of disucssion.

  • LONG LIVE MAGGIE!!!!! I live in America, and after hearing both sides, this woman is the most powerful and level headed politician I've ever seen. We need women like her here and over there in UK once again.

  • @parabolaNSD Yes we do my friend, yes we do!

  • Miner's Strike

Abolished free school meals for all children

    Abolished free school milk

    Falklands war

Stirred up more trouble between England and Ireland.

    Shall i continue?

  • @MrChriswoodsuk Sounds pretty good.

  • The Conservatives used to be a party worth voting for, but they are no longer true to their original values. People like me who believe in privatisation and wish to cut the public sector by trillions of pounds, reducing taxes along the way, have been abandoned by the party that should have protected us.

  • i think i remember this back in '83. that was the first time i saw sense and voted for thatcher and i have remained a loyal tory to this day and am a big supporter of david cameron.

  • Repulsive megalomaniac monster. Now a blithering idiot that has no idea who she is [lucky her]. A Milton Freedman obsessed free marketeer that destroyed our industries and condemned generation to poverty, while crawling at the feet of international bankers. 13 years of Labour government have at last brought us alongside the European average on services, infrastructure.... achieved by them thanks to their Socialist governments of the 1980s

By a miracle there being an afterlife, she's in hell.

  • Comment removed

  • @batttyboi ...and crippled us with the country's largest ever peace time debt in the process. Still, every cloud eh!?

  • Comment removed

  • man, she had some balls.

  • The Iron Lady was a great PM, no Labour leader has ever lived up to her leadership.

  • who is that doing the voice over?

  • The glory days, look at the mess the labour party has left us in now.

  • What a cheap disgusting lower order Industrialist Leader whore, and all the blue stocking cheap slags and idiots in this video, only thing is New Labour weren't any different and now the stinking Conservative Liberal crooks which to to be like this whore. Nice to see you got deminture you dumb stupid bitch, see you whore

  • Squandered North Sea oil & gas on the dole. Blew £12.5Bn on a windswept rock in the South Atlantic. Made changes in financial regulation that Janet Strange called casino capitalism which led ulitmately to the banking collapse. Heralded the unprecendented era of stagnation of real wages seeing the profits accrue to a minority.

  • Can't vote Labour, because I don't trust them, won't vote Conservative as I disagree with a lot of their core principles, and now the Lib Dems have sold out for a taste of the front benches......who is left to vote for?

  • @billydeeuk the Lib Dems didnt sell out! Nick Clegg always said the whole way through the election that if it was a hung parliament he would back which ever party had the most votes, and that was the Conservatives so there you go. he would of been shooting himself in the foot if he went with Labour and a few minority parties as it would of made him look dishonest and untrustworthy

  • @Laylaarx I voted for Clegg because I did not want Cameron. The Lib Dems - the only steadfastly pro-European party - is now alligned with a party that has put itself with the lunatic fringes of the European right in the European Parliament. The Lib Dems, who called for a scrap on tuition fees is now with a party who wants to raise them. The Lib Dems pledged PR, this has now been watered down to Single Transferable Vote. They have lost all their keystone pledges. They have sold out.

  • @billydeeuk Either ukip or don't believe the media bullshit about the bnp and vote for them. They would both take us out of the EU, save billions and billions that we have been giving to them and foreign aid, and they'd concentrate purely on spending domestically. They'd also cap immigration so we don't become too overpopulated, as the lenient rulings involving them claiming benefits is clearly one major reason why we have such high unemployment.

  • god will i party when this fascist bastard dies. i hope its soon due a good party.

  • How's that? "It matters not who your father is or where you come from". Who run the Conservatives now? Hypocrties...

  • Romford Conservatives ran an excellent General Election campaign. I particularly liked their slogans 'Britain First-Stop Mass Immigration' . Andrew Rosindell for Prime Minister!

  • David agenda and who ever voted conservatives are going to cry stop national minimum wage all be back to 2 pound a hour.

  • anyone who slants thatcher's choices towards the manufacturing industry, simply couldnt see the bigger picture or was simply harbouring hatred towards her for events like "black wednesday". She drove for a United Kingdon with pride and which could easily adapt into the modern age. It is true, she put bills through which gradually broke down the progress of the manufacturing industry but overall, she helped to reduce the county's inflation dramatically,

  • Margaret Thatcher overall was a great Prime Minister. She was tough on immigration control, she took back the Falklands and combated the left wing unions. However, I didn't like her presiding over the decline of British industry.

  • Gordon Brown is the new James Callaghan and Michael Foot Labour leadership styler.

  • I don't care what anyone thinks or says, Conservative will always be the right party for me :)

  • Best prime minister ever, she knew how to kick ass.

  • 13 years of a Labour government, and we are in serious debt, rising unemployment, people on strike and a return to the 1970's. Dont let them take your vote for granted, watch the good years under Thatcher and remember we can be great again.

    VOTE CONSERVATIVE TODAY

  • @TheVote2010 i did my friend, i did

  • @TheVote2010 never !! not even if i was dragged kicking and screaming

  • @TheVote2010 You my friend must be the most uneducated person in the universe, thatcher was hated!! ask anyone in the north, scotland, wales or outside your posh upper class southern world. she made the entire working class jobless, took away free milk for children, got us into a pointless war which lost the lives of many people, just like blair has done with Iraq, and now cameron is cutting wherever possible, there manifesto is simply a long list of lies, VOTE LABOUR!

  • @TheRacketBoss What sort of retarded inbred would vote for a party that caused thousands of deaths, mass unemployment, mass immigration and end up with a country that was bankrupt because all our money had been spent so that when we ran into economic problems we had no money to bail ourselves out. Also while being under labour power this country dropped down the ranks in the worldwide economic table. So that you very much but i'll vote conservative :)

  • @TheRacketBoss That is because my friend, we as an economy was losing money and Thatcher had to take action. She got Coal imported from other countries at a cheaper price and the mining industry was becoming expensive to run! Yes you can say miners lost their jobs but do you care about a few people's jobs or the economy as a whole? Whenever Labour have got into power Conservatives have always had to clean their mess up and then Labour blame them for the problems they have caused, e.g. Recession.

  • @TheRacketBoss I'm only 21 and i've heard all sorts of things about Thatcher, negative and positive.

You though, saying, "vote labour," are a cunt.

  • @EnglishNationalist13 the fact you have nationalist in you're name says alot.

  • @TheVote2010 - Just So! those were indeed days with vision. Thatcherism can be summed up I think in this way. Her policies gave ordinary people the chance to better themselves and move up in life - not the socialist converse of bringing everybody down to the lowest common denominator. I live in Russia now and if anybody wants to see the effects of 70 years of socialism they should can and have a look at the dilapidation here

  • @TheVote2010 vote UKIP, they're actually the real conservatives, the ones who didn't go wet.

  • @alexpjp Too right, the Conservatives are only conservative by name, they are just like Labour now.

  • 13 years of a Labour government, and we are in serious debt, rising unemployment, people on strike and a return to the 1970's. Dont let them take your vote for granted, watch the good years under Thatcher and remember we can be great again.

    VOTE CONSERVATIVE TODAY

  • @TheVote2010 "Good years under Thatcher".. are u mad!! she sold off and killed the back bone of British manafacturing!!!! I grew up under her government.. and i can tell you.. They were'nt good years!

  • @Mark291074 No i'm not mad, rightly or wrongly Thatcher HAD to make changes to a failing and subsidised economy. Socialism nearly left us bankrupt in the 1970's under Labour, you clearly have a very short memory if you believe them to be so perfect. We are back to square one again after thirteen years of Labour, and this huge defecit has landed us in severe difficulties. Remember the damage Labour caused and are continuing to cause, leaving us near bankrupt!

  • @TheVote2010 you're the only other person that i've heard saying these things, what a stupid country this is turning into.

  • @TheVote2010 She made terrible choices.. ask the Mining communities!!.. Yeah we have a huge debt to pay off but Labour got it right my spending us out of a recession. Cameron will imposed massive cuts to spending and forced us into the the deepest recession ever known.. you think this is bad now? Part of the reason we are slow coming out of this global financial situation is Thatcher killed off our manafacturing and wanted a service industry. We have almost nothing to sell to the world!.

  • @Mark291074 The deficit is 167 billion and increasing. If a room represents that 167 billion, the amount Labour is proposing to cut is the size of the coat of paint on the wall. I don't think anyone actually appreciates what a mess we're in. Something needs to give. Yes some of the NHS and the police force will need to be cut, yes something needs to give.

  • @Mark291074 You are completely wrong. Thatcher ended years of subsidising dead and dying industries in Wales and the North by making some tough decisions which pulled Britain kicking and screaming into the 20th century. Labour believe in wealth redistribution and spending, this is why we now have this huge defecit of billions hanging over us!

  • lol even in 1979 daily mail headline , 'pickets hit cancer wards' im suppriesed they didnt go with 'striking will give you cancer'

  • Hurry up and die Margaret.

  • Conservative party is now anti-immigration.

  • GO DIE MAGGIE THATCHER

  • Ice-hearted bitch. I'd rather see Brown in rule than allow people like her into power again.

  • @flamingzeros1337 you're just another bird brain who copies what everyone says without understanding its meaning. what did she do wrong exactly?

  • @scottishlad1987 Ohh nothing. It's not like she went to war just to win an election. Or created a massive chasm in the rich/poor divide. Maggie Thatcher made sure the rich stayed rich and the poor got poorer.

  • @flamingzeros1337 she went to war because our land was invaded, do you think we should of just said sorry to the falkland islanders, and left them to be ruled by argentina? and tell me how she caused the poor to be poorer, because you're speaking nonsense.

  • @scottishlad1987 very true, although we should have just invaded argentina and built our empire again..... lol jk :)

  • @scottishlad1987 She caused the poor to become poorer by destroying the mining and steel industries and closing down plants. This caused massive unemployment. Do you think you would still like Maggie Thatcher if you were an unemployed miner in the 80's?

  • @deargirl fucking tell me how she closed down the mines! you people tell me about what the short term, tragic, but necessary consequences of what she did, but you can never explain why she did it or what benefits came from it, i think it's because you're ignorant on the subject. please prove me wrong with details of what she did and why...

  • God bless you Margaret!

  • Last time the Tories were in control during a recession we had 3 million unemployed and 15% interest rates.

The recession we're currently in is much much worse, yet we have significantly less unemployed and significantly lower interest rates.

The Tories are a nasty, elitest, corporate controlled party set on taxing the poor and cutting taxes for the rich.

  • @janebusby labour stand for the bums who dont wish to work lol

  • @janebusby yeah we have lower unemployed because gordon brown has put this country into record debt so that we can fund a load of public sector jobs that we don't need, and to fill the banks with money so they don't have to raise interest rates. but tell me, what good is low interest rates when our businesses are going bankrupt due to huge taxes? and what good are all these extra public sector jobs when our education and health service standards are falling rapidly?

  • thatcher and her government created false hopes for the working people.....the eighties were the worst years I can remember.....

    Michael

  • 2:48 I always knew duncan from blue was a timelord!!!

  • Margaret Thatcher was a homophobic bigot - END OF!

  • @twinkleboi got any evidence to back that claim ? 'Thatcher was one of few Conservative MPs to support Leo Abse's Bill to decriminalise male homosexuality and voted in favour of David Steel's Bill to legalise abortion'

  • @o01R0NM4N0o Section 28?

  • Comment removed

  • @o01R0NM4N0o Hansard is evidence you moron, her votes are recorded as are all MP's votes

  • @twinkleboi Maggie owns you

  • Yeah Maggie!!!

  • I was born in 1992 i did not live under Margaret thatcher but my parents did times where simple but since labour have got in they have fucked up this country we need someone like lady T back in power

  • @TheEnglishwanker you are also the poorest and least educated section of society who have no power here, and are certainly not immune from being sent back to the backward third world shithole you came from.

  • LIB DEMS 2010

  • Narrator sounds like Enoch Powell

  • Mr Cameron claims the prime minister will "never get a medal for courage" "They have given us the biggest bust and now they are forecasting an almost permanent boom - why should we believe them?" Mr Cameron asks. Well Mr Cameron its because we would never believe you who in their right mind would? Nothing fixes a thing so intensely in memory as the wish to forget it and we ain't forgotten the last Tory government.

  • And yet you have convieniently forgotten Britain being bankrupted on THREE previous occasions by the Socialists.

And forgotten that on all occasion it was because Britain was held to ransom by the same people that fund them.

And not even begun to recognise how broke Britain actually is right now.

And I know all the Socialists will blame the Tories when they get into power and unravel the reality of the mess we are in. Just wait till the truth comes out.

  • @skeletorphd The economic difficulties we are facing have been brought about by a world recession and not by anything the socialists or Labour have done unlike the recession under Thatcher that was claimed to be a world recession but was in fact Thatchers contrived recession.

  • @greatwhitepoet Actually the Thatcher recession was brought about by the trade unions holding the contry to ransom throughout the 70's and 80's cost industries millions inevitably bankrupting them. Also by the stupidity of some in industry, particulary the financial sector which did stupid things.

Under Socialism, as we've seen, these people get bailed out by taxpayers to "protect jobs" where Capitalism says government has nothing to do with the markets.

  • @skeletorphd, Actually the Thatcher recession was NOT brought about by the trade unions it was brought about by a government that would not listen to anybody and a Government who decided to dismantle anyone who opposed its views regardless of the cost to industry and family's, and you want to return to that! Capitalism has everything to do with the markets under the Tories the interest rate was conveniently set by Government!, it was Labour who handed it to the Bank of England.

  • 1. How?

    2. Free Market Capatilsm means the markets dictate because of the 9 principles of Free Market Capaitalism. Under Conservative philosophy, the government leaves business to do what they do as long as they do not harm anybody although even if they did, the company would still come off worse thus the government doesn't need to intervene.

    3. That worked out well didn't it.

  • @skeletorphd In the 1980s Yes The people that caused problems all walked away with multi-million retirement pensions & went on to multi-million pound jobs elsewhere but who were they?

Ian MacGregor probably the biggest winner here, touted at the time as the saviour of industries who was actually employed by the Tories to dismantle British industry and you say the Tories don't interfere with businesses? what a joke.

  • @greatwhitepoet Of course you hae to interfere with business. Otherwise they get ahead of themselves and trample all over their workers. Its easy to do when you are looking at profits, beleive me.

But I was alking bout now.

All the senior executives like the ex-bosses of RBS, HBOS etc retired on huge pensions and then went on to multi-million pound jobs elsewhere.

Don't tell me you remember all the bad of Thatcher and nothing of this government.

  • @skeletorphd , Are so Tory government does interfere with business Im glad we got that one settled!

Like the Free masons they tend to do it in secrecy what an ingeniously insidious way to go about things, little wonder few people trusts them.

OK Labour are not all good and Im not totally happy with them but they are probably the best of a bad bunch by far.

  • @greatwhitepoet cos beleive me, I went through shit in the 80's, I had N.F. & Combat 18 on my doorstep. And I was told to just accept my lot in life

And like I said when you work for a big company its easy to effectivly trample over your employees because you are trying to be the best at what you do so it needs reigning in.

But I would much rather dictate to the government as they are our servants rather them dictate my life to me.

  • @skeletorphd, If you had N.F. & Combat 18 on your doorstep and you sent them packing then good on you ..respect for that, but dont be fooled into thinking they are made up of drop outs from Labour/conservative or lib dems ..they are well organised and come from all walks on life.

I wish you well because I think your hearts in the good for all.

    good luck comrade !!

  • @greatwhitepoet @greatwhitepoet Despite my work experience of running multi-nationals for ten years since I was 20, I have been unemployed for the best part of six years.

Mainly because this system that you think is spo great is more of a hinderance than a help.

I am not allowed to do things I need to do because they are not in the "rules."

  • @greatwhitepoet

Yet i've been around lond enough to know that certain people are getting paid well to put me on ridiculous schemes whilst in the meantime I get nowhere unless I commit, technically, fraud.

If you really think Socialism is great then you are either the inumerate, illiterate, good-for nothing that the system is designed for or you have simply never had the misfortune of being on the recieving end of their stupidity.

    Peace.

  • @skeletorphd, inumerate, illiterate, good-for nothing ...such young people often join the armed forces because they cant get decent jobs and end up defending our country in some war/conflict or another.....no one seems to care if they are inumerate, illiterate or so called good-for nothing then. Typical Tory hype divide people and set them against each other and don't let them have any respect for each other.

  • The people that caused the problems all walked away with multi-million retirement pensions & went on to multi-million pound jobs elsewhere. The people at the bottom of the ladder still lost their jobs & the conditions for more economic turmoil still exist.

The unemployed figures were never going to be really bad because under capitalism, which the Socialists adopted under the "3rd way" there would always be a company ready to invest. Branson was ready to take over RBS for example.

  • Go BNP.Go Nationalist.

    'Pro-Family, Stewardship, and Fair Trade.'

  • "Financial Times 17/3/10

Poll data show Tories struggling to win over north,

Cameron lacks ability to bridge traditional class divides"

I wonder why ? I just cant understand it ?

  • @greatwhitepoet Tell me, what are the soldiers in the Middle East fighting for that I should be grateful for? Nothing that benefits me. But you know what? I give them more respect in a day than you could in a life time. They are fighting not for me, but for the poor Afghan people who are suffering because of radical fools who are just slightly more radical than the foolish internet socialists who have never seen socialism in practice. Sorry, but it can't work. Only in theory, not practice.

  • we shall fight on the Blogs,

we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength , we shall defend Socialism, whatever the cost may be,

we shall fight on the Myspace's and Facebooks,

we shall fight on the voting grounds,

we shall fight in Cyber Space and in the streets,

we shall fight in the hills,

For we want no more Thatchers,

    we shall never surrender

  • Too right because a vote for conservatism aka, the New Right aka Free Market Capitalism means you agree with everything Thatcher did over 20 years ago without exception.

And a Tory vote is to bring Thatcher back into power somehow.

Futhermore a Tory vote is a vote to bankrupt the country as the have done 3 times before in the past century and a vote for them to tell us all how to run our lives constantly.

Vote Trade Union, I mean Labour!

  • @skeletorphd

Tory Governments always have left an increase in the living standards of AVERAGE people.

    Fact.

Labour Governments are only voted in when the country can afford it, and thrown out when it no longer can.

    Fact.

Free market capitalism won and continues to win.

    Get over it.

If you cant then go and live the socialist dream in North Korea, Cuba, China, Belarus........BYE
