I was in Tigard, is this the warning from the japan tsunami? I woke up early that day and ended up hearing about it, but I didn't hear a warning.

Beaverton here. From 9.0M quake in Japan. The tsunami hit San Jose, CA hardest of the mainland, which wasn't very hard anyway. Hawaii did get hit too hard from what hear from my Uncle in Maui. Scarier yet, Oregon has been due for a 9.0M quake or larger since 1714. Now that something to "digest".

@calebboiv The Weather Channel did continuous coverage of that. They didn't even go to commercial break. Did the EAS scroll continuously? And did The Weather Channel scroll it too?

@Weatherman436 It scrolled for about 4 minutes here in Beaverton (just west of Portland) then it went away.

Watch for oceanside creeks flowing backwards. That happened in Hawaii a couple of years ago.

Same here in Washington. It shouldn't make the sea level 2-3 feet higher. Only boats and Beach houses need to worry.
