TAG Heuer really captures the spirit of car racing in this watch. The 1\10 sec timer looks like a tachometer and the minute timer (smaller circle at 9 o'clock) resembles a speedometer. The polished steel ring surrounding the face of the watch inside the glass and the black outer bezel are both pieces of high precision machinery. The ...

@brandonwong23 Yes, that IS correct. It is Titanium Carbide Coated Steel, as it has been pointed out numerous times in numerous responses to this video, and In case no one has noticed, that has been a note inserted into the video explaining that it is not plastic, but titanium carbide coated Steel. Typically youtube BS, everyone just wants to lay on the hate. (Not directed at you necessary)
Not quite correct - the X-33 has mission timers etc (i.e. ability to time an event for months or years). The X-33 also has many other pushers and a backlight and hugely louder alarm. But the base movement is the same (before Omega added features to it)
the bezel is metal and it coat with special black color treatment call Physical vapor deposition (PVD), you can search more to understand detail how this process go, tough matarial and very durable.
Hi just reading through some of your comments and you seem to have quite an extensive knowledge of tag heuer watches. I am thinking about buying one of the formula 1 edition watches and just wondered what you thought about the tag heuer WAH111A.BA0850. i just want to know what sort of materials it is made of and also what is the bezel made out of. Is it a form of plastic or rubber. any sort of help would be appreciated.
The bezel is metal. I believe they did away with the rubber accents on the newer models because the rubber dries over time and then breaks off. That particular watch you like is one I've been watching too. Good choice!
that watch is good, it is the alarm right?? i bought a new model of tag heuer it is called f1 grande date it is pretty elegant, and i think it has the same materials as the one you want , it is all stainless steel, even te bezel, it has no plastic, pure steel and i think it has titanium for the shock resistance, good choice
This is probably the one Tag I would consider buying. I don't know why I like it so much. Maybe it's the museum-esque dial.
I know Tag has some nice higher end watches, but for the most part, it's my opinion that they are VERY overpriced. It seems their cache is generally considered as comparable to Omega, but I would put Tag more in line with Longines. But again, I wouldn't mind this one as a weekend sport/casual watch if had less than $1.5k USD.
The crown is metal too.The crown protectors are hard rubber.
I really liked your alarm watch review. That one's all steel.
Bling! I appreciate ALL your reviews. I'm just more a Tag expert as you are a Breit expert. But I have owned about 5 of those 38mm Colts (including the chronos) and sold every one due to the small size...
Just wanted to add a few details. This is not the same movement the X33 is based on. This is in fact, the same as the older Breitling Aerospace models (before they got the backlight and thermo-compensation and became the larger "Avantage" verson). The TAG-Heuer Kirium F1 uses a different movement to this TAG (E20.321), so it gets a backlight and a Seconds hand etc,. Making it more desirable and unfortunately... more expensive :(
The LCD is not the same on this model and the older Aerospace.. is it just the same but with a different LCD then? One of the problems with that movement is the inability to easily sync the analog and digital time, and the lack of a second hand.
hey, nice watch im 16 and i love watches and i collect them i have a range of sporty and luxury watches i love everything about wayches. by the way and hardly any of my friends were watches what do you think are my generation the one thats going to make the watch obselete? i love watches and will never stop wearing them. just i dont see many people my age with watches on these days. thanks love to here what you think.
i'd choose a rolex, tag is always updating the looks and one day u may get tired of it. as for rolex the 2008 model looks same as the one back in 1990s i got one rolex submariner LV and one tag link, and i prefer my rolex

Which Tag model has digital hands and the feature when you press the main button the analog goes away(hands disappear) and the digital time pops up?

The crown is not plastic.its the same as the bezel ::thumb up::
i will know....
I also own one. I love it. it is my daily and favorite watch.
It should be noted that it doesn't have a screw down crown and there is a double case back. Not recommended to go swimming in.

Compared to x-33 this is CHEAP!!
If it's really the same movement, I'm getting one.

For me it'd be nice if the Tag Heuer F1 would be all titanium and automatic movement, and just a little bigger...

I love how when people see a luxury watch the reflex is to say 'fake' when they probably have no clue what they're talking about.
