  • a friend of mine got it , he spended around 500euros on the scooter..

    0/100 - 3.9sec ..

But Driving 150 Km/h Aint That Safe Because of the fact that its still a scooter with 16Ich Wheels ..

  • why why why did they put a chain on it, it takes the low maintenance advantage of the scooter (partially) away

  • Who buys this shit? Get a real bike.

  • @EgozyGeae I hope you rule the world then all the choices can be made by you.

  • Personally I think the line is thin between scooter and motorcycle riders. I'm myself mainly motorcycle rider. I've ridden all sorts of bikes from small enduro's to gsxr 1100. Now I have 1999 GSX 750 and 1983 DT 125 LC for winter/snow/trailriding.

But I have had couple of 50 cc scooters as well between bikes and I really liked them. And I can see myself buying a scooter to go along with these bikes that I've got.

  • too ugly too expensive. Burgmans are way better

  • Whatever scooters ARE motorcycles, just a specific class, like a Sportbike or a Dual Sport.

  • i have a burgman 650 .... it is excellent and will cruise all day at well over 160kph with excellent handling and completely safe even at high speeds. only trouble is ... it is so smooth that if you are not careful u won't realize you are travelling at over 145kph+ . not good if u wanna keep ur license. i try to stay ( usually ) no more than 10ks over the speed limit but with a twist of the throttle ....... ur past whatever was in front of u.

  • nice ride man, I always liked the burgman 650.. powerful, comfortable and with a lot of space for the luggage if you like traveling

  • thanks agnellone. i live in new zealand and i just finshed 2500km( 5days) around the south island here 2wks ago on another bike i'm selling ..... a 2008 250cc lifan ..... a bit underpowered but it never skipped a beat .... gonna do again on my 2009 burgman end nov/dec... it will be summer for us here by then and a lot warmer. should be fun.

  • @bigregw1 thinking of down sizing from fjr1300 to scooter (no windup) not as young as i was lol the burger looks like a good option thanks for the coments.

  • Cool thing on scooters are the space under your seat, on my motorbike i have no space, not even for something like a bottle or else :-(

  • I drove one today, it was fantastic, I really liked it, I Had a Kawa 1000 rx before, and I really can think to buy this Gilera GP 800.

Maybee the Gilera GP 800 or a Yamaha FRJ 1300 I shall think it over, under the winter.

  • Has anyone noticed this looks ALOT like the Honda Silverwing?

dynamics are the same the v-twin very similar, everything is almost the same, except the lighting

  • And i have a gilera Dna 50 that goes 105km/h...

But to get on 200km/h you need a lot of power. I think the acceleration must be very good.

But it s a lot of money for a scooter

  • hahha mine Gilera runner 50cc goes 109km/h...

    and it costs 2.500euros...

And this gilera gp 800 goes 200km/h and costs 8.500 3uros...

so if you want to buy a scooter! THINK TROUGH!

  • It goes 109km/h? What with standard bore or what, it may go that down mount everest hills but it will take AGES to get there ha ha

  • @PacoRip93 or maby you buy a 2 stroke gileara 180cc. Witch is really really fast. like 5.5 sec to 100kph

  • hhaha.....my gilera runner 50cc goes 105km/h only 95km/h difference (but thats alot)

  • yes it is lol, if your 50 goes 105km/h it must take ages to get there and be downhill, i have a vx125 and that will go nicely up to 115 km/h but there its limited because of the gears and the bore. Oh and 115 km/h is 70mph. Unless you have a decent 70cc kit and you know what your doing with a 2t engine your not getting anywhere near 70mph, 45-50mph tops.

  • no... it goes 105km/h straight road... and its 50cc... its sold now

  • @DodgyIdeot i have a 50cc derbi senda extreme that does 65 mph with leo v6 and 13-53 so with 70cc could hit 70mph and if you gear it up say to 16or 15-53 hit about 75 maybe 80mph

  • fatelo gialloo modena con specchietti neri coglioni di un gilera, me lo compro subito se lo fate giallo

  • Can you trust the opinion a rider putting his feet down in corners? Its the flint stone method of riding, how fast can he run?

  • I have one of these babys in black..i will post a vid once my givi luggage and top box are fixed and i go touring accross france and spain from the uk..so far im only running it in but i have given the thing a bit of a kick and 100mph is there like a flash..this thing is heavy and im a big fit bloke 6ft2 and yea its not for towns yet

  • speak italian? whot you think abaut thi model gp 800?

  • why is he putting his feet down?

  • some people believe that at 60 MPH your knee is strong enough to keep you on balance if you miss a turn....

  • With a bike that has a higher center of gravity you get the feeling of falling when cornering. Sticking out your leg acts like a counter-balance, aloowing you to lean hard and still feel stable.

  • It is a really dangerous riding habit for high speeds. If I see someone riding that way down the road, I either get in front of them or drop way back. They aren't seasoned riders. Be safe.

  • odd, was watching moto gp at the weekend and rossi kept sticking his legs out.

  • for to get a feeling of how close to the ground he is... i did it the lace i lived before when i was coming from road to the ... road to our house.. and the reason i did that is, i was coming with high speed around that corner.. gives more balance i think..

  • this hyperscuter have 850cmc and 75 hp...;)

  • super mega fortissimo

  • this mutherfucker is fuckin fast dude.

  • Great Gilera!

  • impresive for a scooter, but when you do a comparison with a real motorcycle its very bad, 200 kph with 800ccm^^

  • Harley Davidson motor 1340cc. 185 km/h XD

  • Ok, thats true^^

  • war aginst yamaha tmax

  • 9500 €....nice, we have to pay 14000 € for that here

  • where are you from?

  • fostenet.....probably europe........m2

  • Burgman activity

  • Is Awesome but it is not a scooter properly.

In the Italian trafic you remain amongst the cars like you're riding an Electraglide Harley.

Honestly this is vehicle for those who make a lot of commuting but do not want or are not able to ride common motorbike.

It is not a scooter, at the end.

  • Im with you on this as one having a family member who cannot operate a tradition motorcycle this type of motorcycle is definatly an option ..... albiet if and when the mana comes out ..... and as for SirJazz's comment below if he pulls up beside a Mana and get his ass handed to him by a 'scooter' he may change his tune

  • That sucker would get ridden everyday the sun came up! Winters here are generaly mild, so I can see myself trading my car for one if the US gets any ever!

  • You can try it if you come in Italy... booking from gilera italian website! :-)

  • The very first crossover between scooter and byke...the best you can find

  • its still a fucking scooter. no transmission, automatic? lol. NO BIKE!

  • fucking like you..

  • that "fucking scooter" does 0-60 faster than 96 Cobra Mustang.

  • lol idiota, u think its all about acceleration? u fail. u fail at life.

  • last time i checked 124mph is the same top speed most street legal vehicles are limited to as well. You're are correct, its NOT all about acceleration. Fortunately it looks like the Gilera GP800 has a high top speed and decent balance as well as excellent acceleration.

additionally, you may wish to brush up on your MLA handbook and 5'th grade grammar manual while your online.

  • kindly email me d specs

  • how is price?

  • £6499 is the UK Price.

  • ive heard that these demos were on the pre-production model which was due to have up-rated suspension in the final road-version. I had a 125cc 2-stroke GILERA Runner and it was loads of fun! ID LOVE one of these LOL

  • That's pretty cool. If I could afford it that thing would be a fun toy to have around.
