That's what I did with my girl - bred her once and that was it - snip snip right after. 2 years is perfect breeding age. Her personality became more protective, and more motherly... but I guess that could come with age too - it's hard to say. Let's just say that if her personality did change, it has only improved. :)

@Sh3zextrafr3sh I had the same issues, and i will tell you that if you do let her have puppies that you will not be her number 1 when they come, but eventually she will come running back to you about the time to wean the puppies an beg you to get her away from the little monsters lol, when the pups are grown and gone, you are her number one once again :) I have only bred my 2 y.o. once and just bought a male so we can have more :)

Hi. The amount of pups a MinPin can have varies with genetics, but generally anywhere between 2-8. My girl had 4. I also own the father, and sire him out occasionally - he's got AKC champ lines in him. Anyway, he fathered a litter of 7 minpins once. So it can vary greatly. It's judgment call...the best advice is to seek advice from your vet. :)

I've heard that you shouldn't breed past 5. My girl was only bred once and then I had her fixed.
