No, that is the original location of the ignition switch frame mount on the 2000 year Chiefs. The 1999 Chief's ignition switch is located on the left side horn mount position. The ignition switch assembly on this Chief was upgraded to the newer heavier duty style switch used on 2002-03 Indian Chiefs that has a different style key. All 99-01 Indian Chiefs came standard with an S&S 88" engine. Regards Kenai117
LOOKS GREAT CHUCK>>>>>>> BRAND NEW !!! My Chief got First Place today in our local Auto and Bike show....can you believe it...ha ha.. there were like 100 autos and trucks...only 4 bikes..ha ha... but still Numero Uno..ha.. beat out two Harleys and one S&S Chopper....cool beans....talk soon.... Pete
I know you would Pauli! I hope you get it. And soon! No tunr signals, letting go of the bars to shift , foot clutching with drum brakes, add in a kick starter for me at my age? You know I'd honk that process up somehow. Love you too man but this is quite enough for me to handle. Safety rules have to apply 1st. followed by logistic support Bud! Best Regards Chuck
Oh yeah, btw, I like your bike! :D
