There are different ways to unlock Marth and Pichu. back in 2007 I unlocked them without using 14 characters in classic or clearing event 37.

To unlock mewtwo you have to play 20 hours of V.S (time total) i just hit 2 hours and fourty minutes and i don't have him yet, you can also play 700 V.S matches to unclock hime. You dont always have to do the event stuff. U can just play V.S and unlock them.

I lost in 100 man melee TWICE because of glitches. One time, I had 19 left to beat and my character got knocked off the stage. Here's the glitch: my character DROPPED LIKE A ROCK. It wasn't even a even slightly heavy character! It was Dr. Mario. The second time, I got knocked off the stage and IT WOULDN'T LET ME DOUBLE JUMP. I'M SERIOUS.

What has always been bugging me ever since I was small...is that there is this SECRET Character that we can't unlock...it looks like a flame. Go to the Super Smash Bros Melee Guide (The one that came with the box when you purchased it) And go to where it talks about Unlocking Secret Characters, and then there it will show you a picture of this Character that looks like a Flame with 2 legs. :O. I have tried everything and I still can't unlock the bastard. I think you gotta do it in Very Hard?

It confused me too, the way you do it is:

In the first level of adventure mode, you have to complete the level when the time says x x : x 2 : x (X'es means that they can be anything) and, afterwards you just complete adventure mode, and then he's gonna appear. Hope it helped ;p

"10" Mins and "25" Secs.

Well you want the seconds to end with 2, such as 02, 12, 22, 32, 42 and 52.
