  • I go riding for a girl and she bucks and bites and once a old rack got cought on he tail while HUNTING!!!! Scary!!

  • there were clearly big scary monsters to look at :p

  • Awesome job! i would have fallen lol :D

  • That was one of THE most awesome reers iv'e actually seen on youtube :) LOL nice one :) (And good job staying on)

  • amazing job staying on :O!

  • awww you could tell she was doing it , a sense of oncoming doooom.......;)

  • Hahaha, evil pony. xD

    That made me laugh.

My jumper is a chronic rearer.

But awe man, what a nut. At least he's cute :P

  • wow... jsut .. wow.

  • There are no evil ponies, only evil riders!Dont blame the pony for YOUR mistake!

  • @416tayjay There are plenty of evil ponies! Maybe not this one, but there are plenty of evil ponies.

  • @aSpringstead There is no such thing not to be rude about evil ponies.

  • Ignore Everyone you done the right thing to stop her from rearing like only pulling One rein! You are brillaint for Staying on and she didnt fall so i dont know what there chatting about!! x

  • lol hes not helping himself by rearing LOL well sat!! :)

  • that horse is beautiful !

  • I would have freeaaaked :L

Anywaay, not trying to be a pain :/ But can I use this clip please? :)

  • @liviliv123 Of course, go ahead =]

  • @Riyzen Thank You! :)

  • put your hands forward when it rears and sit to it and deal with the bigger wen it comes down, my pony used to rear its not a problem unless you dont do anything about it

    well ridden tho

    x

  • my pony does that a shows because he spazzs out for some reason!!!! XD

  • oh wow. im glad he's recovering from Foundering...I'm actually dealing with a horse who is Foundering so bad its in all four legs now! DX he's been so uncomfortable...we actually have him in a sling to relieve the pain...lol thats one feisty pony! haha i hope he's doing better! goodluck and goodjob at staying on!

  • nice job sitting how is he with founder now?

  • omg that must hav been soooo scary! well sat- he spun right round! v.v cool :)

  • Yes, you must pull the head to one side - even if their front legs are already up it throws them of balance. Then keep the head and neck bent to one side and kick until the horse goes forward, repeat every time the little bugger rears. In flatwork make sure your horse goes forward when you ask, remember he's got to stop to rear...

  • never pull when your horse rears your horse can fall back on you and crush you

  • @iButterscotch If you don't pull their head to one side or the other then they can just as easily go over on you. Doing nothing is just as bad. If you get a horse's head to your knee they can't really do much of anything =] Control the head, control the beast.

  • well sat that pony is just like my pony shes so naughty :)

  • @Riyzen i no this sounds weird but dont call a horse BEAST. and ibutterscotch is rite dont pull just lean forward and wait try 2 calm the horse by speakin nicely and try not 2 pannick

  • @iButterscotch if a horse rears you only pull with one rein to turn its head so it cant go higher

  • Cute horse! My horse rears when he is scared too so i decided to teach him how to do it on the ground on command and now he only rears acasionally :D I have a vid on my channel.

  • well sat good rider :)

  • lol its just like:

    pony: wtf is that

    girl: walk on!

    pony: omg its still there.

    girl; WALK ON!

pony: shut the hell up! *rear*

  • BANG!!!! u must have some super glue where ur legs r!!! nice job=)

  • Well done for staying on. My pony rears on command, but every so often if i forget that she does rear and ask her to back up for example, she will just go straight up. Also if ive just finished having a gallop in one of the fields, she gets so exited that she goes up,slams back down, goes back up, slams back down for about 2 minutes...Its so frustrating :) x

  • wow well held on

  • Wow great save! That was almost a flip!

  • wow well done 4 staying on!

  • he looks just like my pony :D

  • well ridden..you almost came off but manged to stay on so congrats..my horse did this when a car wentpast..she was fine then BAM and over..my mum sold her :'(

  • ik it was like 4 years ago still hit him or her right behind the saddle but dont look back when u do it.

  • Cheeky pony!!!!

  • fantastic horse!

  • If I were your mum I'd be a bit worried about your pony's liking for rearing. Afraid you lost the battle when she initially stopped. From that moment she was in charge. Noticed how she didn't respond to your kicks after she stopped - not good. Have few lessons so you can be quicker/more responsive so the rearing doesn't get worse. Otherwise she may come down on top of you.

  • lol, thanks. This has been almost 4 years ago though.

  • dang girl, way to stay on

  • what´s the songs name?

    x

  • The song's called Stand Up

  • okay, but who is the band?

    that sings it.

  • I'm not sure.

  • It´s Trapt

  • well done for staying on i wud of been straight off ur such a good rider :) x

  • good job :) i was scared he was going to throw himself on top of you there... my pony has tried that!!

  • bravo! : ) well done for staying on, i was thinking maybe you wouldn't ; )

  • you can not pull in the ''rope'' like that becuse he can fall over ,

hold around hes neck, becuse there is hes balance and then he cant stand up so high,

  • u need to turn them soo he they he wouldny flip on top of her it harsh to pull on hteir mouths but u have tokeep their head level and feet moving

  • well dun for staying on xx he's gorg

sry about my bad english ;)

  • ur english is fine :) perfect, actually!

  • Love 0:04 xD

  • wow...

you sat back and relaxed awesomely.

    major props.

    good riding. [:

  • At risk of 'too-many-icons syndrome' my horse is only scared of two things..

    1) Things that move

    2) Things that don't (because there's always the possibility that it could move! Lmao!!!)

  • love the horse..............good job!!

  • hes gorgeous.

  • wow that was soo good

did you intentionally pull the right rein?

    xx

  • well sat ! lol

    x

  • Well done for staying on, was she spooked?

  • what song is that?

  • Wow..

    Weelll Sat !!

    x

  • Try not to let him look at the scary thing... if he looks at it too long he'll be worse.

  • I agree, the moment you allow them look at the "scary thing" it gives them the chance to spook and do someting that can result is someone getting hurt. Just keep them going and don't make a big fuss over the scary thing.

  • I was taught to take them in circles until they accept it.

  • i got taught to turn there face left and right quickly and ask them to walk, so they cant see it clearly to think it over :)

  • that could work too.

  • actually, what I do is I make them stare at the scary thing. If you dont say, theres a car coming by, you dont want to back him into a corner with his butt facing it. That'll only scare him because it limits what he sees :) but if you let him look at it and act like nothings wrong, they get the message and will only stare it down :]

  • Hmmm.... maybe.

  • I agree whenever my pony spooks I also turn him to look at the 'scary thing' then he realises 'actually its not that scary, i was just being stupid. as usual.'

  • my horse scares at a certaqin corner in the riding school cos it has a big bush and when its windy it sounds reli freaky and he just bolts, hes even worse when we are going into a jump so i just walk him really slowly past it again and again until he doesnt spook :)

  • it's like he's showing off 4 the camera! ^^ lol

  • Good job on staying on he almost fell over on ya

  • he's like OMG! I've never seen a person with a camera before!! lol. Nice balance!

  • WOW! You have great balance.

  • whoaaaa, congrats for staying on! nearly went over backwards :S

  • Sure thing! Use it however you like =]

    And thankyou!

  • fuck lucky you had a vest on coz he looked like he was pretty close to flipping over LUCKY !!!!

  • AMAZING BALANCE! I remember I once rode a horse bareback through my friend's pasture and I turned the horse around to go fetch a dog, I almost fell off. I have no balance anymore!! XD You have guts!

  • I must say ... its all in the moment isn't it .. You shouldn't of pulled back at the start but most people would of done that ... i would of lol but you were brill to regain his balance especially without falling off..

    GOOD JOB !!!!

  • wow that was amazingly satt.

i would have gone flying (:

  • very well sat

  • well sat pretty pony i want a pony that colour lol his little face was like ok - what then freaked out lol

  • oh my good god, talk about well sat!

  • hahahes just trotin aling then all of the sudden hes like.... OMG! what the hell is that?!

  • ok cool :)

    thankyou so much :)

  • thats SCARY!

    Can i use this video?

  • Sure thing =]

  • ooo, looks like you ALMOST lost your seat, but good job staying on. Does the pony still rear now?

  • actually the best thing to do with a rearing horse is to drop the contact.if you jag a rearing horses mouth he is gonna fall backwards.Lolz anyways im not here to preach!

    Beautifull horse though!

  • I was pulling on only ONE rein. I was trying to pull his head to the side to stop him from rearing since he wouldn't go forward. If you've ever ridden difficult horses you know the safest thing to do if have their head at your knee, and them moving in a circle. Once he reared I pulled to the side to unbalance him so he would go to the SIDE instead of going over. So yes, I did unbalance him, but for the right reasons and with the correct affect.

  • That is what you are meant to do when a horse rears, the idea is that they spin in a tight circle, thus are forced to put all 4 feet on the ground and cant rear again, it looks like he is spooked by something (most likely the camera person) and the wind doesnt exactly help, well done for staying on and handling the situation! your pone is so cute!!! Ox

  • I know exactly how you feel, I ride a 9 year old hackney pony and he rears straight up, and a couple times he almost went over so i did what you did

    Great job for staying on

  • SHUT UP!

  • Well Done For Staying On, My Horse Micki Did One Heck Of A rear When I Was On Him, Scared Me To Death XD.

    But Well Done (Y)

  • I don't think he's really being 'evil', it just looks like he's unsure about something ahead of him.

Nice staying on and controlling him though :)

  • good thing you ripped his head around at thirtenn udder wise i rekon he wulda gon ovr

  • YOU HAVE AN AWESOME SEAT!

    WAY TO GO!

  • i would rather western but awsome seat and thats a nice horse!!!!! yee haww

  • nice job staying on

  • You've got a good seat to be able to stay on like that!

  • dang ur a good rider if u can stay on like tat!!

  • well done for staying on

mine used to rear and it is not fun some times and it is other

  • u stayed on thats the good thing lol

  • to workitout2233 they just did and its thier horse so they can call it what they like.

  • great song choice

  • do u know what he was spooking at ?

    lol mattitue bless it :P

  • My friend had a Terific Appy Mare didn't at any thing and always willing to help newbies learn how its done

  • no animals are evil, the pony was just spooking at something, u have no right 2 call any pony evil or any animal

  • Haha, oh but you haven't met this pony. He is evil. Just like my cat. They're evil together.

You, my friend, take things waaay too seriously. =]

  • i agree, i had a "evil" pony whio i think was dropped on her head as a baby! lol. In reality she had had a very poor upbringing and had been numerously beaten and broken in horrifically. makes it understandable why she hated people after all that!

Well done for staying on, you look like a nice quiet rider xx

  • nice job staying on!

My pony did that to me right beside a cliff, she was excited because she knew she was about to go galloping on the beach,

but she fell just about on top of me,

    i bailed just in time,

    broke meh arm.

But i got back in the saddle once it healed.

    Happy riding!

  • Nice job staying on!

  • How old is he? I'm not familair with Bowling Green KY. I know the Berea/Lexington/Winchester areas better. Are you anywhere near there?

  • how tall is the horse? and were are you located?

  • He's around 14.2hh He might be a little over, I haven't stuck him in a while. And I'm near Bowling Green, KY. About an hour north of Nashville, TN. =]

  • are you selling him or giving him away

  • He's free to a good home. =]

  • nice job staying on! i had a DEVIL pony named Remcp(atually he belonged to the barn i ride at) did not do a thing you wanted him to do! My trainer had touble ridng him! They wound up selling him to a boy who rode in rodeos and he is actually happier doing what he loves, torturing little kids! hahaaha he is actually mean in his stall or paddock too he bites sooo hard! Anyways tht horse i BEAUTIFUL but i love my pony and cant afford another one!

  • good job on staying on! Nice editing job aswell =]

  • thats a appoloosa for you...

  • hotshotlc-"thats an appaloosa for you..."

wtf not all appy's have problems!

  • This is a very general and uneducated statement. Appaloosas are very intelligent and lovely horses. Any horse can spook at something, especially after 2 years of no riding.

    Cute video :)

  • BTW I meant this to be in reply to the statement about "that's an appaloosa for you" not about the video! Whoops!

  • YOu still giving it away???

  • Yes, he's still available. =]

  • When your horse stops to look at something you can turn them around until they have to turn and get their focus back on you. Don't pull lol or that makes them rear. I must commend you on your steel legs but that wasn't very great disciplinarian skills LOL!

  • Nice riding

  • What is the name oh this horse!!!!!!??????

  • Wow! good job staying on! your horse looks gorgeous! =]

  • OMG UR HORSE LOOKS AMAAAZING :)wow he or she is goooorgeous *drool* but i still luv mine too :)xxxx

  • Haha, atleast you stayed on =]

Beautiful horse btw, If I lived in KY i'd take him =]

  • what breed is he

  • It didnt Look Likee she was tryin to get the horse to rear Lmao! , to me looked like she was trying to get the horse to move lol x :)

    Gorjeous Horse xx

  • 10salisburye she wasnt trying to get him to rear she was kicking him/her to get it to go and she wasnt yanking him in the gob cuz getting a horse to rear is ..

Yhoo yank them in the gob and boot them at the same tyme

Well done 4 staying on thoo Gall :D

    Boootifull Pony :D:D:D xx
