Also, there were women in awful relationships with no way to get out, and they were tied down by endless children that they may or may not have wanted (ever given birth? It's not exactly a piece of cake!) Maybe you can find a wife who wants to take care of all your kids, has only one opinion that is what ever you want it to be, and slave away around the house all day, but that is not for every one. I am eternally grateful to the women who fought for me to have my rights! show some respect!
@johe64, are you kidding me? For the first time ever women were beginning to have rights that they had fought for for over 60 years. The spread of understanding the reproductive system let alone those rights was against the law in many states because it was seen as pornography; only women who were nurses etc actually understood what is now common knowledge. Women were no longer bound to having 10 plus kids (if they didn't have complications) that they couldn't afford and weren't healthy
Isn't that Fred Allen speaking at 1:17? He was a panelist on What's My Line before his untimely death in 195-something. He was very funny. This clip is sort of sad. The 20s really marked the end of women as mothers and brought a sort of selfish ambition into our world. Very sad.
@8azile8 I wish you could go back in time to the 20's and suddenly develop a serious health problem that required immediate medical attention... at which point you would desperately wish you could go forward in time to the 2000's.

What is this clip a part of? It must be part of a larger work of media. I would like to watch the other parts of it.
