  • Elvis and Scotty Moore's sweet guitar!

  • Honestly, how can it be that 3 people put a thumbs down on this? I'm beginning to think that Bieber has infiltrated these video's and is trying to sabotage every artist that has more talent than he... and that would be everybody!

  • ps. pg 69 of "life" by keef, says hes was know "in the john" at art school where all the "cats" gathered to play for his redition of this song.

  • keith richards said that he could never work out the riff played on this by scooty moore..

  • @ellie11000 Must be reading "life" by "Keef"" what a book! and so true what you said. one of the first songs Keith Richards learned to play. pre stones.

  • @teri107 Richards has stated many times (Rolling Stone magazine, Life autobiography) that he could never figure out how to play the "stop time" break and figure that Moore plays on "I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone" (Sun), and that he hopes it will remain a mystery.

  • @ellie11000

he also said he was ahead of his time and took more care about his music than most in his generation

  • wrong title!!!!!!!!!!! you're right, I'm left, she's gone is the correct title

  • @stevenslava I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone is the correct title to me.

  • @gduwen

listen to the song 'you're right...' not 'I'm left...' maybe Sun got it wrong

  • @stevenslava Title is correct; check the label of the original Sun single....

  • @stevenslava

on the biography of keith richard it's this title ...

  • @stevenslava at 0:58 he sings "i'm left you're right" .

  • After listening to this go have a listen to Creedence CR doing Bad Moon Rising.

They owe Scotty a dime or two!

  • Did anybody read Keith Richards autobiography "Life"? On page 73 hes talking bout an scooty moore lick, which he never could hear out in a proper way. In fact i dont have pretty good ears for music, unfortunally. To come to a conclusion which one is it? Would be glad if someone could answer.

  • @konsidoherty

I think it's at 1:28-29 in the solo. In the next sentence of the book Keith tells exactly where the lick is in Baby, Let's Play House. In the video of that song posted by oiboot here on Youtube, you can see it at 0:23-26. Over Elvis's shoulder, you see Scotty Moore playing it - a yodel, Keith calls it. I don't think Keith is trying very hard to get it down. It looks like something he could play in his sleep.

  • @konsidoherty Wow....exact same reason I'm here. I just had to hear what he's talking about :) very good book!

  • What a great song Elvis at his best his timing was perfect one of his best

  • i agree with the above comments

  • Luv and respect for this pure piece of rockabilly

  • another song for Elvis that my uncle Stan wrote.

  • wow

  • Anybody else hear how much this song, and the others from Elvis Sun Sessions, inspired John Forgety's "Bad Moon Rising" ? Give it a listen /watch?v=5BmEGm-mraE It's amazing ! Elvis, The KING.

  • Great stuff...... I never heard it before.

  • And so Rockabilly was invented!!! This song and the whole Sun stuff he did was the best ever music in the whole damn world (opinion)! They were nearly all done in one take and live and changed music forever (FACT)

Mikey xx (with a genuine tear in my eye)

  • @mikeystrafford There was rockabilly-ish stuff pre-Elvis. Listen to the Maddox Brothers and Rose for example.

  • this takes me right back home to my child hood. Wow realy cool, thanks so much for sharing this great oldy.

  • This comfort food to me . sound for my soul.

  • While Elvis fused Country with Blues...Scotty Moore def. added a jazz element.

If you listen to The Beatles first albums you can tell they were influenced by this sound...

  • skiffle kings?.... dj fontana was he on radio other day? uk. radio2 89 to 91 fm bbc.cock 75 years yer rite i is left she aint gone son she just far away

    Elvis is the King

  • It's one of Keith Richards favourite song of Elvis.

  • man I luv this voice what a classic

  • siempre es bueno escuchar al REY....

  • LOVE IT ELVIS MY ALL TIME SINGER

  • 1 of the EVERGREENS which will stand the test of time. It's one of those medium-rock (they tagged 'em hillbillies) which takes advantage of the funny strollin' hoss trottin' and blends it with a nuance of blues-rock which was quite ahead of its time. A masterwork in its own right, it'll stay with me till the day I die and I'll take it along wherever I'll be bound to. Thank you so very much for giving me a moment of happiness coupled with a drop of nostalgia on-the-rocks in a glass of memories.

  • The Sun King.

  • One of my all time favourite Elvis tracks-LOVE IT!

  • Pretty sure John Fogerty lifted this to write "Bad Moon Rising"

  • Never heard this before thanks for posting it! :)
