Wll I`m a big Vanessa fan (yes, we exist) since the books and I believe Tv Vanessa is a well portrayed character though her lack of storylines forces the writers to use her as a plot device thus ennerving the shippers. But on the bright side SS and Josh have publicly stated that Jessica`s character will get a storyline of her own and better yet, Vanessa and Nate`s romance will be developed in future episodes.
