  • damn, everysingle video christina likes or favorites there's a comment about it, leave her alone are you like 9 years old? she has a life too, i dont know what she thinks about it, but if it was me i would hate it, maybe not at the beginning but with the time it turns annoying!

  • @RmNaNtCbScRrn THANK YOU!! come here for jeff loomis NOT GRIMMIE!!

  • @kimmyal97 Stop trying to get likes, come here for the music, not popularity. Obviously someone who has over 1 million subscribers is going to 'bring people here' when she likes the video. Honestly now.

  • Thank you miss Christina Grimmie for showing me this wonderful masterpiece.. Seriously.

  • Christina grimmie's powers are strong!!!!!!! TEAM GRIMMIE

  • This is making me cry :(

  • jeff loomis, a great guitar player¡¡¡¡

  • i could make a song of 180minutes lenght with just the intro i love this shit

  • Anybody else love listening to a banging good tune and scrolling down the comments to try and understand some of the talk about guitars?

  • jason becker is the best jeff starts off fast and ends fast becker plays with feeling

  • So was this played on easy mode?

  • no point using 4x speed. Jeff already has that covered ;)

  • I pissed my pants

  • Great Creation.

  • Wow ... its Realy like Dragon Kiss ... ( Marty Friedman ) They have the Same Still ... its increadible ..

  • took a shit whilst listening to this... needless to say i need a new toilet...

  • @epicchicken220 she didnt die her vagina just lit on fire and she ran around for a few second than blew up

  • :O q enferoo :)

  • Holy crap!

  • @DarkieBC

I love to hear people's reactions the first time they hear this song. One of the great metal shred songs of all time. If you have not already done so, check out one of Jeff Loomis' inspirations.....Tony MacAlpine. Try "pyrokinesis" or "fire mountain". You might just shit yourself.

    Ah. Love this song.

  • @OnedetachedonE no showerd before i watched and yup pants are normal ass is dry!

  • Anyone notice the white snowflake on the time elapsed bar? lol Merry Christmas!!

  • brb must gather all the brain matter from my floor

  • @link1nparkEEEwarrock glad im not the only one who has to

  • support Jeff Gloomis and his morbid death meat-tool

  • Challenge

    Accepted.

  • So much emotion...brought tears to my eyes.

  • @Hertsman50 just watch his face as he plays. tons of emotion its incredible

  • @MariosGuy the facial expressions dont mean anything, in fact, guitar players r practically the only musicians that do them. and i'll bet the song would sound the same if he kept a straight face. no negativity tho, i am a huge jeff loomis fan, but the idea that making faces while playing adds something to the music is just ridiculous.

  • @tico7464 i hate when people think john mayer is so amazing and passionate just because of his face...

  • best guitarist.

  • i tryed learning the song but....

you need a seven string guitar:(

  • @xXMetalxLoveXx not if you can tune really fast while playing

  • @DrMeta1 lol i dont have a floyd rose...yet anyway, im gettin a RR jackson for christmas with one but still i was lookin at tabs and they only have it for 7 strings

  • @xXMetalxLoveXx Schecter has got some quite cheap 7-stringed guitars. I have the ATX my self and love it.

  • @RawRib well im more of a jackson/esp guy but i would totally get the hellraiser 7 string or a jackson 7 string in the future but ima be happy with wat im gettin now the randy rhoads js32 gun metal grey. ima get golden OFL hardware and duncan blackouts on it:D

  • @xXMetalxLoveXx dude, dont! go to the jackson webside, look at the new x series! ofr and duncans would be wasted in a js, as much as i love my js kelly! with the new ones, you get neck thru, alder instead of indian cedro and overall better quality! the extra bucks are worth it, believe me!

  • @givemeajackson i saw the new Xseries and the js32 is made out of alder wood too its just a bolt-on.A jackson technician/executive said it was alder and the js32t is indian cedro which relived me so i know its quality wood. Its a middle of the line series only cause it doesnt have 3 tone/volume knobs and it has soso pickups. My friends pro series isnt much diffrent from my js32.Plus actually i think the new Xseries is made out of basswood&i was on a budget its only my second guitar that i just got

  • @xXMetalxLoveXx yeah, the js was my second guitar too. i love the neck. but the greatest thing about the x is that it's neckthru, what makes it a great modding base. i'll get one maybe for modding the shit out of it. first i'll get a schecter tough.

  • @givemeajackson yeah but the thing with a neck through is that if the neck is fucked up then the guitar is finished and i like bolt ons to interchange the neck and i could get a dinky inverted headstock and put it on my rhoads for instance. almost all strats have bolt ons and ynwie malmsteen uses strats with bolt ons. neck thrus used to have advantage until they invented good amps with good sustain and better grade wood but yeah ima mod my rhoads with good stuff on it.

  • @xXMetalxLoveXx its a matter of taste. i see the greatest advantage of neck thru in the absolutely awesome fret access.

  • @xXMetalxLoveXx Yeah, its nice if you really like your body setup, and your neck gets fucked. At the same time I'd prefer the through neck for faster higher fret access, and if it did get warped/broken, I'l get a new one of the same model. But I play on the Loomis Signature, so it'd be worth it ;)

  • @DuttonButton63 lol badass i want that guitar

  • @xXMetalxLoveXx wow. i was thinking more along the lines of " i tried to learn this song but i am just a mortal so.. oh well "

  • @MariosGuy nahh too generic plus i realy did try to learn it but i didnt know you needed a seven string lol

  • These discoveries make my life meanignfully better.

  • <love it!!! this guy is terribly great!

  • @kttycaballero Oxymorons are seriously funny.

  • I fucking love neo-classical metal!!! Jeff Loomis is my favorite neo-classical guitarist.

  • What a damn masterpiece. Oh my god. I don't even like this kind of music because it gives me a panic attack. I'll down five bottles of chill pills just to listen to this all day.

  • WOWGASM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fuuuuuuck!!!! fucking Awesomeeee!!!!

  • @ParkwayBurnsRed3...I agree ; athough Jason and Marty's rythym playing werent quite as difficult as Jeffs ..jlike Terminater Proclimation. I guess this is how far metal guitar has come. Ron Thal is so original as Jeff seems like Jason a little Thal sounds like no one before him ..so ahead of his time He is as technically as good as Jeff but in this different, crazy genre. A genre of his own

  • actually i see more alot of jason becker influence in this, moreso than yngwie

  • can someone please tell me what the f*ck is going on with the drum beat @ 3:38? what time signiature is that?

  • @ajthebanksta The time signature is 4/4. I think you are asking about the bass drum rhythm. It's just syncopation in a slow 4/4.

  • AWESOME!.....this guy is so fucking great!

  • jeff loomis is guitar god

  • @Bowlrdude6 I hate it when people compare Loomis to god, i mean he is good... but he´s no Loomis

  • Yeah, there are brief moments here and there that eerily make me think of Jason Becker, or better yet, his and Marty Friedman's project Cacophany. Well done my good sir, that is a daunting task lol

  • Sick tone and brilliant playing! Definitely getting his RockHouseMethod product in the future! :-D

  • i think he got inspired from Jason BECKER !

  • me and the guitar player are dateing

  • Eleven is the number of doom, 1 opposing 1

  • How bout all you fucking idiots just shut the fuck up and like the fucking masterpiece being played. The only reason you guys dont like it is cuz you will NEVER come close to Jeff's amazing versatility......

  • Comment removed

  • Billy Joel Armstrong made 45 accounts just to "dislike" this video

  • Thanks to loomis I am going to make a solo album

  • mind officially blown

  • can everyone stop bitching and just agree jeff loomis kicks ass

  • But in my book every guitarist that can reach clarity playing at around 180-200 bpm has accomplished something and are all equal in that aspect. It's what each one has to offer thats different in their playing style that counts.

  • Plus, Yngwie does all this stuff on a Fender Stratocaster

  • Once Jeff fingered a girl in high school. She died.

  • @epicchicken220 HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

  • @epicchicken220

I think you got the story wrong.

He actually fingered a dead chick that died from radiation back in 1973 when she was using her microwave to cook a hot pocket, and she came right back to life from his saving grace. He was then rewarded a hot pocket from said woman.

Story of a girl dying from being fingered in high school was actually done by another young man. His name was Lady Gaga, during the time, he was straight, but felt ashamed, so he became a woman to hide the pain.

  • @TurkeyTuck That comment reached a whole new level of messed-up-ness.

  • @TurkeyTuck I can't stop laughing. The radiation must also explain Loomis's powers.

  • jeff probably wants a prosthetic arm just like terminator lol!

    no wait... they are!!

  • Awesome! greatest musician ever

  • Lord Of The Rings Two Towers!!!!!!

  • Jeff Loomis kicks so much ass, he turned the world into miles of machines.

  • even if you think jeff has no feeling, this song gave me enough feelings for the both of us!

  • somebody tell Loomis 44 people want their virginity back!

  • @euso2008 they would like their heads back!

  • im so in love with this song O_O

  • @FuckTheSystem1995

    Me too.

  • how come everyones always saying 240 we meet again on videos now?

i know its a sound quality thing but for real wats with the comments? im curious

  • @JaktensTid 240p is actually about the video quality, but really I don't know dude, it might have been funny once or twice (it supposed to make fun of bad video quality) but it's pretty played out I think

  • The song is called Miles of Machines because Jeff Loomis is a machine and if you print out all the notes in this song and lay them out in a row it is over three miles long.

  • @VaticanIscaria haha XD

  • @VaticanIscaria or with his sheer shredding speed he destroyed miles of machines with only the first bar of this song : either way jeff is fucking amazing :)

  • @VaticanIscaria I think you are just as good at BS as Jeff is guitar. Good theory though!

  • @TheJoeread16 It's not bullshit try the experiment yourself. Bill Nye the Science Guy did an episode on it.

  • @VaticanIscaria depends on the font size

  • This song is worthy of mozzart, bach, beethoven and wagner itself..

  • that is what i want to be able to do by the time i am 24

  • In a recent interview Jeff said he did improv on a lot of solos on this album and that he will actually sit down and compose the solos on his upcoming album. So next time you listen to this album and you hear a solo think "That's probably improv" What a beast...

  • Im in love .

  • sweet illnessess ha... a lot of JASSON BAKER HERE DOUGH,,, BUT HEY SOME ONE DID HIS HOME WORK AYT...

  • sweet illnessess ha...

  • he listen a lot to jasson baker ,, baker was the one to bring this indiviant thechinc and style aproach to the guitar.

  • awsome

  • Jeff Loomis is an amazing guitarist. Expert level musician and an excellent composer. So is Vai, Malmsteen, MAB, EVH, Hendrix, and several other musicians. Instead of comparing apples to oranges, start worrying about becoming a better musician and developing your own techniques. Jeff Loomis nor any of the great guitarists get good by bashing people on youtube.

  • Jeff Loomis is Jeff Loomis and Nevermore impersonated.

  • all technique and no feeling. i admit, this is pretty cool, and way better than anything malmsteen ever did. but it's just a shed load of different notes strung together. this is why the likes of jimi hendrix, joe perry, slash and eddie van halen will be better than loomis, in my eyes. yeah, they're not as technically sound as loomis. but what they write has character and feeling.

  • @KillerKahn ROFL no feeling? this has got to be one of the most retarded comments i have ever read, hendrix, perry, slash and eddie better than loomis? hahahahahaha, loomis doesn't have feeling? hahahaha, dude you seriously have alot to learn noob, i doubt you even know what sweep picking is, "shed load of different notes strung together" you obviously don't know what sweeping is, i doubt you play guitar, if you do, i bet you suck

  • @KillerKahn i bet you say micheal angelo batio has no feeling too, but he plays with more feeling than any of those guitarists you mentioned, not only that, but left and right handed + both at the same time, up and over technique, aswell as being the best guitarist in the world at metal, he plays jazz, blues and classical just as good, yet another guitarist who's better than those posers you mentioned

  • @metalguitarZomg2 wow. protective much? i never said weather i liked or disliked batio. i just said i preffer a solo that has feeling in the sound itself. and, i'm sorry, i don't get that from loomis, his solo's are just too fast, too technical. you get that sort of feeling from sounds produced by the likes of gary moore (rest his soul), joe bonamassa, etc. i even admitted that the guitarists i like are not as technically gifted as loomis. what more do you want? a testimonial? give me a break...

  • @KillerKahn im just merely stating those guitarists you mentioned sucked, which they do, slash is a poser who wears a top hat and has a non-lit cigarette hanging out of his mouth and tries to be cool to make up for his poor playing, i do understand that you said "i preffer a solo that has feeling" this has HEAPS of feeling, if you can't feel it it's just because you're not ready to comprehend this level of guitar skill, which is why you like slash and the others

  • @metalguitarZomg2 if you're going to call me an idiot, then just say it that way. don't beat around the fucking bush. maybe it has heaps of feeling to you, but to me, it doesn't have the same feel is parisienne walkways, fade to black, pull me under, the spirit of radio, etc. you seem to be ignoring the part where i stated, and repeated, that the guitarists i like are not as technically sound as loomis.

you've proved to me that you only read what he wants to read.

  • @KillerKahn then you go ahead and claim loomis has no feeling, that in its self is what im commenting on, thats something you need to learn, just because they are fast players, doesn't mean they don't have feeling, in fact, you have to have the feeling and drive to want to practice that much to become as good as loomis, you can like what you want to im not commenting on that, but to say they have more feeling than loomis or batio is idiotic

  • @metalguitarZomg2 once again, you bring up batio and, once again, i haven't even mentioned him. THAT is idiotic.and yes you are commenting on what i like, you called slash a poser. which, when i said he's not technically as sound as loomis, in a roundabout way, i agreed with you. and just because he has no feeling in the sound he makes, to me, doesn't mean he won't to others. that's what's called "difference" and that is what i've tried to put across. how is that idiotic?

  • @KillerKahn your first comment sounded like you were saying that loomis doesn't have character and feeling in his music, which is 100% wrong, once you start to understand technical playing, the intense feeling that comes through in the extremely complicated compositions is mind blowing, the fact you say "in your eyes those other guitarists are better" shows me that you don't understand technical playing therefore are incapable of sensing the feeling involved in this song and other loomis songs

  • @KillerKahn in which case, you should refrain from commenting on videos like this and showing everyone what an idiot you are

  • @metalguitarZomg2 yes, i'm an idiot, because my taste in music is different from yours... you do see how shallow and ignorant that is, right? because, basically, that is what you're saying. and, i don't understand technical playing? wrong. steve vai is a good technical who i like a lot. i just don't like it when it becomes 5 minutes long. it just sounds like showing off to me.

  • @KillerKahn lol, vai is like the basic of technical playing in comparison, so no im right, i didn't say anything about your music taste, just those particular artists, i dont give a flying fuck if you like them or not, just don't try to put them in the same league as loomis, because they are far from it. You have alot to learn

  • @metalguitarZomg2 first of all, if it wasn't for vai, loomis wouldn't wouldn't have that sort of music to aspire to. secondly, you said every guitarist i like is shit, how is that not saying anything about my music taste? and lastly, once again i have to repeat myself when i say THE GUITARISTS I LIKE ARE NOT AS TECHNICALLY SOUND AS LOOMIS, so i admited they're not in the same league as him, FOUR TIMES! are you getting off on this?

  • @KillerKahn by saying loomis's music doesn't have character and feeling you're basically saying those guitarists are better, which you miss the whole point that loomis does have character and feeling, i suggest you learn guitar and try and play this, then come back and continue commenting

  • @metalguitarZomg2 tell you what, while i do that, how about you get your generic metal head out of your awn ass and show some god damn respect for people who have an opinion that's different to yours. seriously, i've tried to be respectful, and all you've done is tell me i'm wrong and i'm full of shit, how about you lose a few years of age, crawl back up your mums cunt and come back out without the ego that sretched her so much that she needs a telephpone pole to get herself off.

  • @KillerKahn if loomis's songs dont have enough feeling for you listen to sarcisity or azure haze

  • @KillerKahn hahaha umadbro, and yes in this particular case you are wrong because a) you don't play guitar so therefore are incapable of properly judging a guitar player and b) if its egotistical to know which guitar players are good and which are shit then ill gladly be egotistical than a retard who likes over-rated guitar players, i bet you love kirk hammett too, he should be right up your ally, makes tons of mistakes, and poses, and uses a wah pedal to attempt to cover them up

  • @KillerKahn its like if you were a car expert and you tried to pretend like you're an expert on motorbikes

  • @metalguitarZomg2 well sort of, except you weren't a car expert to begin with

  • @metalguitarZomg2 okay, not a guitar player, fine, i admit. but i have too good ears and know what sounds i like. and i don't like loomis's sound, which is all i've meant, i even admitted he's skillful. five times, in fact. so you can take that comment back. and sure, maybe you are an expert, but there's a way to put your view across without sounding like a prick. guess which way you've been doing it? you let your ego interperate what i meant, rather than reading my words for what they are.

  • @KillerKahn "too good ears" nuff said

  • @metalguitarZomg2 right, ears that i can use to form an opinion. based on the sound, which is what i did. and you went off at me like without properly reading what i put down, then judged me, saying i probably don't like batio, when i never said anything about him. you said that you didn't judge my taste, then said everything i like is shit. double standard. i repeapted myself enough times when i said that i respect what loomis can do, it's just not to my liking, which you chose to ignore.

  • @KillerKahn i mainly said batio because he is another guitarist who "mainstreamers" like yourself, bash on for playing with "no feeling" when infact he has more feeling than any of the mainstream guitarists, he is an example of a highly under-rated guitarist, like loomis. Where as you seem to only listen to over-rated guitarists, you don't play guitar so you have no idea what im talking about :)

  • @metalguitarZomg2 you must be kidding, right? you can't be that stupid...

  • @amsaa91 no im not kidding, you obviously don't play guitar either, kids please, if you're going to comment, learn how to play guitar first

  • @metalguitarZomg2 Seriously, I'm not sure if you're trolling, or you are just the most stupid person in the world; right now you are the kid, and I do play guitar, neoclassical, classical, death metal and thrash mainly. I like complex music, but you have to admit that Batio is shit.

  • @amsaa91 i don't see any of your covers on your page, if you're sooooo good, surely you'd have atleast 1

  • @metalguitarZomg2 you also said i was wrong because i can't play. i don't think i need to tell you again how i came to the conclusion that i don't like loomis, do i? there is no wrong when it comes to music, or cars, or video games, etc. just a difference in opinion. my opinion is based on what i hear, an dwhat i hear is a hugely respectful amount of technique, not denying that. i just don't like what i hear. you forcing your opinion down my throat didn't change how i felt either. ENOUGH said.

  • @KillerKahn look up jeff loomis live to get the full appreciation of the feeling he puts in his music, i doubt you've seen his any of his live stuff, and you'll notice he doesn't ever make mistakes, unlike *cough slash cough*, either way im done, theres no sense in kids these days, theres only media propaganda and close-minded opinions, if you do actually pick up a guitar, come back here in 8 - 15 years when you can actually play something like this, then tell me slash is better :)

  • @metalguitarZomg2 get over yourself hipster. i like mainstream bands, so what? do you live in the uk? do you know what kind of shit goes mainstream here? and once agaain, you have a go at me for saying i like slash. when, once again, i admitted loomis is more talented. and, once again, you chose to ignore that fact. pay attention to all of what i have to say, not just the bits you take exception to. i'm done, it's pointless to argue with someone with no appreciation for difference in opinion.

  • @KillerKahn Dude, you have to admit this metalguitarzomg2 guy has you beat. The issue is not that Loomis is not of your taste (you could have just said that) or that you said that Loomis is not technical (you didn't). The issue is that you said that his music has no feeling. That metalguitar kid responded to that by saying that the feeling is there, it's just that you're not educated enough to discern it.

Instead of admitting that that is probably true, you've been avoiding the point.

  • @KillerKahn Saying "oh, well this is not true for me" is in fact a fallacy called _the relativist fallacy_ or subjective relativism. Instead of wording your statement in such an objectionable way, you can just say "I can't discern any feeling or appeal on this musician, if any" and acknowledge your possible lack of education.

There's no rule to respect other people's opinions since these can be and tend to be stupid, and some people would be better off not talking on subjects they don't know.

  • @KillerKahn By saying "acknowledge your possible lack of education", I mean acknowledge that your lack of education is possibly what hinders you from discerning the appeal and feeling of this track. Saying "I'm not educated, but this isn't true to me" won't do any good.

With that said, I think that Metalguitar kid is being overly elitist by knocking on guitarists like Slash and Kirk Hammet on their lack of technical proficiency. It does not necessarily discredit their merits as artists.

  • @KillerKahn He's good and what you're trying to say is that you don't enjoy Loomis. That said, what's the need for such a wall of text?

And who did you think would care about your opinion on Loomis?

  • @paddymoep i respect the technique and effort that loomis has put into it as everyone should. but, it just seems to be all technique and little else.

also, look at the arguement. clearly, someone cared.

  • @KillerKahn I was asking you. I wasn't implying that no one cares.

Seeing this as a pure instrumental album, i don't know what you could want more than guitar technique. If you can play great, do it. There is no need for holding back because of different sound. You just offer what some people might want to hear, and you also don't play on the level anyone could, who would listen to loomis then, when there are tons of equivalent players on that level?

  • @paddymoep you asked me who would care for my opinion. i answered. and i completely agree with you when you say "you just offer what some people might want to hear." i'm not one of those people. i gave my opinion. said who i preffer. and someone has a go at me. i'm not saying "that's not fair" because i got over that kind of thing when i hit puberty. and i don't take exception to the comments themselves. i take exception to being told i'm wrong because i preffer something else.

  • @KillerKahn The question was rather " what kind of people do care? ". I was implying that you have to know people that haven't hit puberty would form a reply " well you can't play guitar loomis is better " of some kind.

then.. i didn't say you're all wrong. Maybe you're referring to the song titles, which can of course be inspired by something only loomis knows, but are not quite justified. I don't think this song sounds like a mile of machines. I think he doesn't put atmosphere into his songs.

  • im not a malmsteen hater but he is quite repetitive for shure and ive herd more songs than blue and AFH arpeggios from hell is freakin awsome

  • Problem with Malmsteen haters is that they just heard blue and arpeggios from hell. If you would really would know Malmsteen you would not call him stale or repetitive. ;)

  • 240p, we meet again......

  • @MaxSatow It still sounds badass. Jeff Loomis told 240p to bend over and scream bloody murder. And it did.

  • @MaxSatow I agree with minorthreat; we've all heard that comment a million times before. We all know it's not original. I wish people just tried being clever instead of posting "insta-hit" comments whenever they find a chance.

  • Real Music Jeff Vivaldi with the guitar

  • now THAT is how pussy is obtained!

  • Now, kids.. This is what we call an "eargasm"

  • I like Slash, and I like Jeff Loomis. I really like Buddy Guy, and I really like James Hetfield. Randy Rhoads is the reason I bought a white Les Paul, and Aerosmith is the reason why I picked up guitar in the first place. I can't really play like any of those guys, but I can play like me. I don't think it matters who is more technically better, but I think it has a lot to do with how badass their music is. I like those dudes because they make badass music. And badass is badass.

  • @pollywoggle24 Well said. Doesn't really matter how amazing you are as long as what you play is appealing to you.

  • I just want to know who the fuck played the first 13 seconds of that...lol..god damn son!

  • @damncapitan Jeff Loomis played it. He writes all the guitars on this album, it is his solo album
