  • Thumps up if you are from Denmark.

  • Made in China.

  • @ABritishGamer Made n Denmark big Manufacturers actually He he he he !!! FAIL

  • Everybody chill out.

  • its in denmark

  • Only if it was made in america.... suckers

  • You know how a auto-transmission works? Install them in one of these.. The higher the wind, the higher the gear, and less RPMut on the blades. :-)

  • Ha take that Al Gore

  • R.I.P. farmer in that field.

  • They should do this to all of them

  • that was cool!

  • @ComParanoicObsesivo

Does your ramblings make sense in your head?

  • This seems more like a planned destructive TESTING rather than an operational turbine failing. I comment on this as I am a certified Installer of Wind Turbines and understand them well enough.

  • How about a nano energy harness that takes energy at a quantum level from the surrounding space. It is possible in physics that this could be achievable in the next few decades/centuries :) Then we do not need fusion or any other renewable energy. Just take it from the surrounding space!

  • On top of this, why don't they show you all the Bald Eagles, Hawks and Geese that fly into these windmills and get chopped to pieces? Because they are Green Communists. Yes, Green is the new Red!

  • @MrTruthBeTold51 "Because they are Green Communists. Yes, Green is the new Red!"

I would actually agree with that, despite wanting high density and cleaner fuels.

We now have 'green' paints, green glues, green greens. So long as it has 'green' stamped on it, people seem to buy into it, regardless of whether or not it's a.) shite b.) massively overpriced.

We need to dump all our cash into fusion, get that sorted and be done with this wank.

  • The future of green energy.

  • And people say wind power is safe.

  • Look how those giant blades just "float" to the ground. Just one weights AT LEAST 25,000 pounds. Ouch. And look at the way thattop section smashes the ground, sending dirt and rock everywhere. That main hub weights at least 55,000 pounds. HOT DAYUM!

  • let's build some nuclear power plants.

  • wtf, brakes are supposed to kick in aftr 57mps, guess they failed huh?

  • @frostbite292 "The braking mechanism that limits the speed of the wind turbine broke during a storm in Denmark."

  • Hurricane Wind Power Wind Turbine Technologies LLC Hurricane Perfect Storm™ 2kW Permanent Magnet Alternator Quad Output™ Made in USA

  • its a fake,....like my verginity

  • Now if we could only get a video of a nuclear plant explosion from this close!

  • This video proves wind energy is garbage. These stupid things are gonna be all over the place to kill people.

  • @jmkpns

    Even in Fukushima?

This is a pretty rare event.

Cars and trucks are FAR more deadly.

You want to get rid of those, too?

  • @jetpoweredgriffin HAARP. Fukushima was staged in order to once again kill the idea of nuclear power because liberal politicians want wind turbines everywhere so here come the government subsidies. Technology is out there and nuclear power can be improved, but not if we're only going to subsidize wind and solar.

  • @jmkpns

The largest natural disaster in history was staged to destroy nuclear power?

    You are paranoid delusional.

    No further comment.

  • @jetpoweredgriffin This disaster was hyped. You are the typical "American Idol" viewer. No further comment.

  • @jmkpns

    I don't even watch TV.

You are the typical YouTube Vidiot.

  • @jetpoweredgriffin Well, all I can say is I enjoyed it because you're a lefty that actually doesn't use the "F" word and it's always nice to play "Real Hardball" with a leftist without that word. Take care.

  • @jmkpns

What makes you think I'm a leftist?

    I don't trust either side!

there are pros and cons to every

    dialectic.

    Hegel was right(overall).

    Peace,

    -g

  • @jetpoweredgriffin Wait, what largest natural disaster in history? Fukishima was not staged, but nor was it or the tsunami the largest disaster in history. The largest nuclear disaster was Chernobyl, 4000 dead.

The largest power plant disaster was at the hydroelectric plant in Banqiao, 171,000 dead. The worst natural disaster in history, were the 1931 China floods, 1 to 2 million dead.

  • @CobaltX07

    Numbers are so slippery.

    Anyone can say anything...

    till it costs them something.

    How about the Black Plague?

Pneumonic plague is three times more deadly...

depending on how you slide the numbers.

Doesn't matter much to the dying,though....

  • @jetpoweredgriffin Um... this isn't Dresden, no one has any reason to make up numbers, though people do like to exaggerate the Chernobyl disaster to 200,000 with little to no evidence. Point is, Japan is far from worst.

  • @CobaltX07

    PS

Maybe you meant to talk to the other guy but

    financially speaking,

Japan's Earthquake/Tsunami is probably the worst natural disaster in history(so far).

    The meter's still running,too.

  • @jetpoweredgriffin Inflation probably has something to do with that, though even without adjusting, Hurricane Katrina's estimates, high, medium, and low, all top Japan's high, medium, and low. Adjusting for inflation, many many other disasters are no doubt worst. Also, most don't figure out which disaster was worst by measuring financial damage.

  • @ I totally dispute that statement. People CONSTANTLY evaluate everything the $. I am from New Orleans and I can tell you that there is no comparison between her and Tokyo. The consequences are immense. I really don't care about the mean, the mode and the average. ALL numbers can be skewered. I really don't understand your attempted point but when SoCal has it's turn, our opinions are not going to matter. When you go through a disaster, let me know. I have been through several. Goodnight.
  • @jetpoweredgriffin You mean all information can be skewered. I have no reason to believe you over the numbers, being closer emotionally to a disaster merely ruins one's ability to look at it rationally, when I too go through a disaster, I too will probably be unable to look at it from a rational standpoint, though for now, sure, goodnight.

  • True, except I am not so emotionally invested there- America is a looming socioeconomic disaster even if nothing new happens. I am currently on the Navajo Nation- they live in at a level that most Americans would consider post disaster. The Nation is the size of W. Virginia, has 300,000 people and takes up parts of 4 states. The main thing is that we face events far beyond science or government's ability to compensate for. At such a time, we must pull together or we will pull apart. Thank you
  • @jetpoweredgriffin I have heard horror stories about the poverty level on reservations, I wish that fellow human beings did not have to live in such conditions. I apologize for all the sidetracking, my only intention when I first responded was to ask how Japan's tsunami was quantified as the worst disaster in all of history, not to dispute anything else.

  • @ PS Re:New Orleans and Tokyo, It was simply that New Orleans is not as essential to world trade. Japan will have a much longer term cost and impact to the world. Numerous floods, earthquakes and plagues have had death tolls in incomprehensible numbers. Japan's was greater than the Gulf Coasts but they are small overall compared to others. Meaningful conversations at 500 words per shot is really pretty silly to me. The main thing is, a major SoCal event could be worse than numbers can say.
  • @jetpoweredgriffin I agree with all of that, I know Japan is gonna be worst long term, but I thought you were claiming it was *the* worst disaster, of all time, in the whole history of the world.

  • @CobaltX07

    Thank you very much-

It is a true privilege to get some relief from all the uninvited head-butting going on here on YouTube.

I'll send you a vidlink from the Rez where we were today.

    Peace be unto you,

    -g

  • @C

I do believe the Japanese Earthquake/Tsunami/Reactor event to be the worst simply because it is ultimately having the largest global impact,

simply because of Tokyo's significance to global affairs.

Other disasters could be measured as more powerful or more immediately destructive but this is the first time

in the modern era that a major nation has been left reeling by one event and it's aftermath.

    Cheronobyl was isolated-

    unfortunately,Fukushima was not.

  • @C Pt.2 New Orleans was largely evacuated- Southern California will unfortunately not have time. Where do you relocate that many people, anyway? I know many people play Russian Roulette with time and scoff&mock about disasters... but that's only till they happen. Not worrying about these things and recklessly not caring are two very different things. If you prepare, you don't need to worry. If you don't, you'll regret it. Don't hold your breath waiting for help- especially from FEMA.
  • @jmkpns are you serious or trolling?

  • @Jbullroy Serious. There is an agenda to destroy nuclear power.

  • YEAH OWNAGE

  • better than a power plant exploding

  • The wind is like, "Fuck you, you can't harness me bitch"

  • 1911 button ftw!

  • We'll now have to spend billions of dollars in order to safely contain the fallout from that damaged windmill, and people will need to remain at least 50km away for the next half a century. Darn hippies!

  • @ooofest >implying windmills emit radiation

  • @quinnweller Hi, I was joking to make a point about the potential differences at a macro level, in terms of impact from currently popular methods of energy generation vs. windmills. Thanks for your response.

  • @sh4p3shifter And only morons believe we won't.

  • @sh4p3shifter Only ignorant fools who cannot understand simple science believe that humans cannot or should not stop soiling their own home. Or, perhaps you're just habitually defending the wealthiest energy producers because they have more money and seem worthy - such as, the Koch Brothers? That and your biased slur seem to indicate you have a ways to go before deserving respect.

  • @ooofest there is no fallout, its just an electric motor being spun by a blade, nothing dangerous except for something like this happening

  • @evinsteven13

Give him a break, he was being facetious.

  • @evinsteven13 Yes, I was being sarcastic, actually . . .

  • @rawheas whats that? I don't understand your ching chang chung talk. What do you know, your prolly just another stoner Canadian. BTW your welcome for the channel veiw, I noticed your comment box is pretty much filled with people correcting you on more stupid youtube comments. Go figure.

  • @rohde42

I cannot believe what that guy said.

All the containment vessels are fine?

    Says who?

Even the puppet press doesn't claim that!

IF there were benevolent aliens I sure hope they don't sample-search Youtube looking for intelligent life...

  • windpower =fail. nuclear all the way

  • THAT was expensive.

  • @staciepaul, Quick flip through a history book will show you that the Japanese are not the best decision makers. #PearlHarbor, Just wait until you see all of the multinational corporations that give up on putting money into that source of energy. Do you want your name tied to a failure like this? I know I don't, nor do they. You sit there an twiddle your thumbs while we (green) continue to grow. Heck, if your lucky maybe depleted uranium will help you grow a couple more thumbs to twiddle.

  • @you are so right, of course we can just judge a nation on what it did more than 70 years ago.....i mean how much really changes in 70 years? ....moron.... Japan isn't about to have a nuclear melt down all containment vessels are fine which means no serious damage has been done, they aren't making any bad decisions.

  • @terrorblack, Fuck you... maybe we should go with more nuke huh? so we can wipe out the human race instead of having a turbine fall in the middle of fucking nowhere. idiot. And it's wind turbine not windmill, shit head. It doesn't grind grain.

  • @rohde42 ya look at the thousand dead from the nuke plants in Japan.... Ohhh wait that was the tsunami. Nuke power done correctly is not without risks but safe. Japan has not lost containment on any of their plants. They are trying to save the reactors best they can so they can start them back up. Doesn't sound like they are giving up on that source of energy. Why are you?

  • @rohde42 You are fucking dumb.

Watch Penn & Teller's Bullshit! episode about nuclear power.

  • This only goes to show the danger of wind power, we need a moratorium on wind turbine construction until we can determine that it is possible to build windmills safely in the future

  • fail

  • Wind turbines are not all cracked up what they are supposed to be.

  • It's a beautiful thing...Hope this happens more often....but alas...most of them just stop turning...

  • Epic!

  • Look everybody! The future of the world power!!! :D

  • WHAT WAS THAT SOUND AT 0:02! Freak alien contact!

  • @mogerdog LMFAO!

  • Without the propulsion of that turbine the Earth rotation will stop! Thanks for nothing!

  • its funny how every one on youtube is an expert...

  • I copy the similar video

  • MADE IN CHINA

  • ITS RAINING WIND TURBINE PARTS RUN!!!!!

  • hi, nice video. Friends and Subscribers welcome if you want to have a look at my Home Wind/Solar Energy stuff. I won a Green Design Contest with my system on Earth Day. Have a look if you like.

  • cheaper than an oil source blowing up....

  • @TBone96000 There are other problems with nuclear power: A waste storage facility. The only cost-effective solution is to essentially bury it somewhere under enough neutron-absorbent matter and wait for it to decay fully, correct? Last I heard, there was talk of vitrifying the dirt around burial sites, trapping waste in an impermeable casing. Maybe that technique has reached maturity, but if it hasn't, then what? Is there another solution to waste storage?

  • @TBone96000 what world wide collapse? its not like just one day we are going to wake up and there is going to absolutly zero oil on earth.....its juts going to get incerasingly rare, and substitute's will start to take over. its not just going to be gg for civilization one day because we don't have oil...

  • @rawheas You shouldn't worry about reasoning with that imbecile. He doesn't understand enough about renewable energies to make an informed decision. He fluffs up his arguments with what he believes is elevated diction, but the rhetoric remains the same, and it is essentially flawed. The failure of a wind turbine may kill you... if you happen to be standing OUTSIDE in gale-force winds in the middle of a wind farm, in which case you're asking for a Darwinian solution.

  • @rawheas Personally, I believe wind is inefficient as far as renewable sources go. The wind, and in fact, all our weather is powered by one primary source: The sun. As consumers, we need to invest in newer solar technologies.

  • @LarryTheTubaBoy Most sources of power are ultimately based on the sun. It's just that directly harnessing the energy from the sun isn't always easy or affordable, so indirect methods - like wind power, fossil fuels, hydroelectric power etc. - are typically preferred. That's why you can see countries covering 20% or more of their electricity consumption with wind power, but not direct solar power (photovoltaic or otherwise).

  • @TBone96000 wanna know the real reason that the US uses alot of fossil fuels? because after the cost of disposing of the nuclear waste and all the saftey, its actually like 5% cheaper to just run coal or natural gas, and they are like rediculously cheaper than wind or solar.

Power companies don't give a shit about anything but money because thats all that affects them.

  • @TBone96000 I'm sorry, but our civilization's continuation may rely on how quickly we adapt nuclear power on the wide scale, and ignorant intransigence like his may end up costing lives in the future if peak oil arrives and we aren't prepared for it.

  • that's why I wouldn't use mechanical braking, should have used electromagnetic speed limiting.

  • Because if one of THOSE fails, there goes the neighborhood. Remember Chernobyl?

  • @LarryTheTubaBoy What the fuck are you talking about? Do you honestly believe that the Chernobyl accident involved an explosion comparable to the yield of a nuclear weapon? Hint, fucktard; it's more in the range of an artillery shell, and the plant is placed far away enough from settlements to make the explosion a complete non-issue. Get educated and stop pretending to know what you're talking about based on pop-culture MYTHS.

  • @TithonusSyndrome I never said the reactor went critical mass. I just said that the population of an entire town got irradiated. For someone who wants me to be educated, you sure can't read too well. Good day, dipshit.

  • ale urwał!

  • i wonder what kicked the dirt up under the fan right when the fan broke

probably just a piece of it

  • Chuck Noris hacked a lubie at it,,,

  • @9ff70f96 Why are you responding to month old comments?

  • @TheRoyalAquamaster exactly

  • @TheRoyalAquamaster why not?

  • @TheRoyalAquamaster Because I feel like it? Still read the fucking answer, didn't you?

  • wow the breaks must have failed

  • @Fatusbeergutus It's more likely that the brakes failed.

  • L O FUCKING L !

  • DANG WHEN U SEE IT GOING THAT FAST U KNOW ITS GONNA HIT THE POLE THAT ITS NOT AND BLOW-UP!!!!!

  • @googlefreak7 That its not, what? Illiterate cunt.

  • considering those cost around $1.5 million apiece... scary

  • super windmill ! LOL

  • One thing this is not a windmill. They are called wind tubines.

  • Imagine all the electricity it generated before it blew up

  • @Bradfords777 it won't make up for the money needed to replace it......

  • @Bradfords777 going like this, it does not generate any electricity, because when it goes like this, the generator is switched off for safety reasons. does not help the rotor blade...

  • @Bradfords777 Think the electricity that it will be wasted to make a new one

  • @Bradfords777 It cant make power when the gearbox is destroyed

  • Windmills are a waste of fucking time

  • @BayesianMan Yea, infinitely renewable energy is a waste of time... You fucking idiot.

  • @StampedeGT LOL

  • @BayesianMan In what way?

  • @BayesianMan why?????

  • @BayesianMan don't you understand? With windmills you get your electricity AND you can fuck at the same time. :)

    (really, I didn't misinterpret 'fucking time' (A))

  • @BayesianMan Unlike reading your insightful commentary on the Internet.

  • Translation : No No No, there ot comes! Did you get that on tape?

  • looked like paper!

  • HAH that's awesome

so much safer than a power plant blowing up.

  • @Stonehawk

yes...powerplants around the world are just sitting there: waiting to blow up. Sometimes they are waiting to catch fire. Sometimes the power plants are just sitting there waiting to fall down, too.

This is bullshit 1930's technology that cannot be improved.

your power bills go down , yet?

here>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>look at some other jumk exploding >>>>>>>>>

    pick a screen, any screen.

junk science. look up the R.E.A .....or for all you fucking hippies : just "google it".

  • Hi, Great video. Thanks.

We have a selection of renewable energy courses in our Autumn Brochure.

visit imecofarm for more details. Thanks. Eddie

  • Nice . WE have hundreds of those in Ransom Illinois.

  • ...Doh!

  • In the immortal words of the yoga instructor from the movie "Couples Retreat"

    BOOM!

  • Just moments before pressing the record button

BILL: I tell you what, we should get one of them cameras and post this on youtube.

JIMMY: I bet over 1,413,589 people will watch it?

    BILL: Yep

    JIMMY: Hells Yeah!

  • How did they know this was going to happen at that moment...?

  • @TheRoyalAquamaster Have you ever heard of VIDEO EDITING SOFTWARE!? No? Then run a Google search and prepare to be AMAZED!

  • @9ff70f96 actually, this isn't an edited video. I visited a wind farm today and they spoke about this video and explained all of the reasons why this one sort of exploded. if you want to do some extra research on it, it's a vesta brand wind turbine.

  • @hairyptter Dumbarse, go and read the comment I was answering. I'll give you a little clue about doing that; it has something to do with the "@TheRoyalAquamaster" part in my original message.

I don't need to research why it "exploded", I can see what happened. A blade failure milliseconds before the 'explosion' caused the rotor assembly to be thrown badly out of balance, significant enough to deflect one of the remaining blades into the path of the tower.

  • Wow, glad my turbine has electromagnetic braking. That's spectacular isn't it.

  • @HomeWindTurbines7 What if the turbine loses power?

  • WOW!!!!

  • FAIL

  • oh my god!!! :D

  • poor windmill :'(

  • well, back to oil.............

  • @J0Gu7 LOL!

  • O o O..... them blade r sharp.

  • Good thing it wasn't nuclear.

  • Stuck running wide open... Brake failure... I didn't know Toyota made Wind Turbines!

  • @rohde42 i didnt either

  • @rohde42 Maybe the same people operating those Toyota's were the same that were operating this wind turbine? You know, incapable

  • @rohde42 LOL NICE!

  • Damn, can you imagine a 60 ft turbine blade rocketing towards you out of the sky?!

  • be careful

  • You hear a click as an explosion happens at the base of the structure...

  • This was on another video... I think but on the other one trees were nearby... IT HIT A TREE.

  • @SirCliveCalculator the tips of the windmill are going at 600+ mph because of a brake failure. Then because it broke the sound barrier, one of the tips disintegrated, which unbalanced the other 2 and then they started wabling and cut off the main support

  • What a colossal waste that is. It's pretty scary if those are close to any homes.

  • These are just too big, too much. 7% of all the electricity is lost in transmission. Wasteful. The same raw materials and labor should go to putting smaller rooftop wind turbines at the point of use. Then the 7% for the life of the equipment will be saved, used. Look at my videos of wind power, it's a far better approach than these big wind farms. Peace.

  • Eco friendly :)

  • That's why we in America use GE, not your cheap Danish models. haha, just joking.

  • sure it self destructed, but think of how much electricity it was making the moment before impact!

  • happy new years 0:06

  • thank u i was going to buy one but now im not

  • @bcsROBBERY, better a windmill breaking than another f***ing Chernobyl or 3 Mile Island!

  • @eraserMMX or that oil rig that just blew up last week

  • GREEN FAIL

  • Between 0:04 , 0:05 you see a bird or object come in contact. The noise that you hear is the impact of the blades hitting the tower structure. I played it over an over.

  • What?!?!?! If it spun that fast it would shut down

  • read the description

  • THIS DID NOT EXPLODE!!!! THE SPEED AT WHICH THE WINDMILL WAS TURNING RIPPED IT APART. The sound was the structure shredding itself.
