  • That´s not the bennyhill-theme; it is the `Globetrotters-theme´ a.k.a. `Sweet Georgia Brown´

  • where's the guitar player?

  • Victor is the man.

  • Blondie needs a larger pair of pants. It's distracting.

  • Any way to get the tab for this?

  • Who tha fuck would even want to know how to play that shit?

  • Shave and a Hair Cut, two bits!

  • in my opinion this guy's second to Jaco; 3rd place is james jamerson and 4th is linley marthe

  • @OrangutanNationz that's a pretty strong list, I'd have to agree with you 90% of the way, except that Wooten and Jaco should honestly be tied for first. however I do think if Jaco had lived longer he would've become the greatest ever.

  • el mejor bajista del mundo victor wooten

  • 0:52 - 1:08 ... I lol'd :D

  • High from playin man!!!

  • Didn't hear Yakety Sax anywhere in that,

    wasn't awful though. >=o)

  • @schwinglow if you didn't hear hear Yakety Sax in that...clean your ears.

  • @JohnFHebert replied to the wrong guy haha. let me delete that reply

  • Is that Greg Bissonett on the drums?

  • The thing I love about this is that Vic can play it slowed down, and it still sounds musical, funky and fun.

  • This is not Yakkety Sax. It sounds like Sweet Georgia Brown. He just plays a couple licks from Yakkety Sax in the middle of his lead. Yakkety Sax goes: 1-1-1-5-1-4-1-5/1. Sweet Georgia Brown goes: 1-1-4-4-7-7-3-3/5.

  • 1:55 i'ts Michael Jackson on strings! :D

  • what year is this from? lol

  • @ 1:05 Be what...? Go ahead.

  • Steve Bailey looks and sounds completely baked.

  • That's Gregg Bissonette on drums, isn't it? With that amazingly awful mullet!

  • Wow. Victor takes Boots Randolph's Yakkety Sax and gives it a soulful edge that you would never know it had. I just wish this was longer. Maybe someday he'll do it with the Flecktones. I can just imagine Bela Fleck playing it on banjo :)

  • Killing!

  • I can't believe the comments from some of you shit heads, is the music making it hard for you to think??? try country!

  • vics the man #LOL

  • Cleveland < Stanley from the office < Victor Wooten

  • Forget this, listen to Back Door if you want to hear amazing bass playing ;0)

  • Someone needs to get these guys some new jeans.

  • I love steve baily's mom-jeans

  • That dude looks like P Ditty down on his luck.

  • At the first 5 seconds i thought it was the south park theme

  • muito loko

  • Anyone else think they're high?

  • @Jesusfreak101Bemis!!! DUDE!!! As I was watching thie video I was thinking the same thing then I scrolledown and saw your post!!! LOL!!!

  • Victor sounds like Lionel Richie.. o.O

  • I'd like to see a video with Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey and Victor Bailey. I think people would be totally confused by the names. :-)

  • Where's the Benny Hill theme?

  • how flat can strings be :D

  • I almost thought white dude was rusty cooley lol.

  • ho yes!!!!

  • sWISS!

  • LOL@Victor's skinny jeans

  • technically great, but really just fucking terrible.

  • @TheLonelyDwarf hahahahah so true! And I'm a huge Wooten fan.

  • @siloix Yeah Victor is great but I've always leaned more towards Patitucci, Willis, Pastorius, Haslip, and the like...

Hah but I did see a nice video of Wooten giving a lesson to a bassist of 20 years and in this video the guy had JUST learned how to groove with drums. It took Victor to teach him that? Phwah!?

  • @TheLonelyDwarf where is this video that you speak of?

  • Just an amazingly good bassist.

(regardless of who in the hell he looks like on what friggin' show. WGAF??)

  • AWESOME

    You rock guys!!!!

  • Victor wooten i better than jesus :D

  • tottally cleavland lol ~

  • Banjo Bass

  • When will people finally stop calling this song Benny Hill theme song? The song is called Yakety Sax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes it was featured on the Benny Hill show but, it ain't either his song nor was made specially for the jingle of the show. Anyways, I laugh every time I listen to this. XD

    PEACE

  • Great & Groovie !!!!!!!

  • i didn't know cleveland played bass

  • How old is this? Bailey's mom jeans are sooooo 1983.

  • why's no one chasing him about???? or some bird in a bikini slapping an old guy on the head

  • Love Steve Bailey but here's some are off the tune... think that's a feedback prob, cause it doesn't looks like Steve's habitual play

  • talent

  • Talent, yeah.

  • its just not bass though is it

  • It's a tenor bass, usually tuned to ADGC rather than EADG, I believe.

  • ah cool

  • that neck is fucking WIIIIIIIIDE, even for a 6 string.

  • Victor Wooten Looks like Cleveland off Family guy if u imagine him with a mustachae

    lol XD

  • @jameshansen911 he has a mustache. you don't have to imagine anything lol.

  • @jameshansen911 no need to imagine. Hes got one.

  • read discription

  • Steve is like me when I'm high. He makes no sense and things become awkward

  • ITS CLEVELAND BROWN

  • ahahahaha so funny

  • he is like road runner on the bass

  • dave mustaine on bass?

  • looks nothing like dave mustaine

  • Bass isn't just about playing low basslines you know.

  • I honestly think if he wanted to be a guitar player, he would be. He's been playing bass since he was 2. He could've switched somewhere in between.

  • stupid !

they are all bass technics !

    fuck you!

  • I really think that a lot myself. Mainly with people like Steve Bailey, John Petrucci qnd others. It bothers me lol I understand their mastery, though.

  • I don't like bass sound the rattle isn't so nice in my opinion, I prefer his usual sound and also dub reggae bass it's usually pretty cool

  • LOLOLOL.

    BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

    DUDE WTF

    bahaha cleaveland.

my list is now complete with this girl i know, she is exactly like peter.

  • cleveland or RONALDINHO xD

  • steve has huge package

  • steve bailey is so baked in this video. it's cosmic...

  • oh my god i know its hilarious

  • It's not as enjoyable without the ladies in stockings running around : P

  • @rubberritchie I can dig that. Still amazing though.

  • Totally Cleveland. That's why it's so awesome.

  • he looks like Cleveland from Family Guy, or is it just me?

  • He looks like Keenan and Kel (can't remember which one)

  • Keenan for sure!:P

  • no cleveland is a lot fatter

  • @DrummingMonkey13 oh what, do all black people look alike to you? DO YOU THINK WE ALL LOOK LIKE SOME GUY ON TV? CRACKA PLEASE.

  • @DrummingMonkey13 jajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajaja

  • hahahaha its not just you

  • @DrummingMonkey13 Wow, Donna, look, I,m almost Rallo's hero!

  • @DrummingMonkey13 no, he looks like my mate frog

  • @DrummingMonkey13 They probably play bass the same way too

  • clothes from that time were so gay!

  • those aren't even so gay, watch the "awesome" rockbands xD

  • I love and respect Victor, but that haircut/mustache makes him look like Cleveland from Family Guy!

  • awesome!

  • Is that Greg Bissonet on drums back there?

  • It sure looks a lot like Gregg. I suppose it could be?

  • it is... greg bissonette!! he's awesome!!

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Yeah, it is.

  • He's such a great player, and such a nice man. But there's some serious chipmunking going on here.

  • The hell are you talking about?

  • lol, it seems Benny Hill but it's just a part from "A chick from Corea", a song by Wooten and Baiiey... too good...

  • Is Steve Bailey stuffing his pants?

  • hahaha

  • how do i acheive these skills

  • play for as long as victor, which is probably almost 4x's as many as you have

  • hes played for like 30 years, i started bout 2.5 years ago "tiger woods had golf when he was 2, I had bass when i was 2" victor wooten. lol

  • lol he has played like 30 times longer than me! thats why I stink so much compared to him

  • Last I checked victors been playing 40 years

  • I'm sure the last time that I checked, it was over 610

  • uh i dont really think hes 40 is he?

    haha idk actually

  • Last time i checked it was 43, and with starting bass at 2-3 that puts him at 40 years playing.

I mean i could be wrong.

  • This video needs some nekkid women running around

  • okay sorry but listen to the song chick from corea it sounds very similar

  • is this in the song by them a chick from corea

  • no benny hill was a tv series that is the theme song

  • yes this is part of the song Chick from Corea

  • "great honky-tonk sax" = World's biggest oxymoron

  • Good ears ! You are right! But the song is 'Yakety Sax' but Boots Randolph. Miles Davis has a tune based on SGB called 'The Serpent's Tooth'. Thanx for the changes and the language!- Fc

  • The tune is 'Yakety Sax ' by Boots Randolph who was a great honky-tonk saxman. I do not know if the changes are 'Sweet Georgia Brown' . A lot of tunes are based on 'I Got Rhythm' etc. No I just listened to a version of SGB and it is not it!- Fc

  • I was pretty shure about Sweet Georgia Brown but I did double check. And I was right. If you are familiar with jazz language here are the changes of "Yakety Sax: (On this video they are playing in E but first chord is D flat so I will write it in D flat). I , V7, I , V7of IV, IV, I, V7, I ( Db 6 bars, Ab7 2 bars, Db 1 bar, Db7 1 bar, Gb7 2 bars, Db 1 bar, Ab7 1 bar, Db 2 bars. On this video when Vic start, first chord is Db then Gb7 then B7 then E with the chromatic descend.

  • benny is so good , everybody want to do him, but someone is strange

  • You have to see the funny side. 2 of the worlds top bassplayers in deep discussion about the most comical tune known in the UK ! & they don't know it ?

I split my sides when i watched this.

  • weak dude

  • the best bassist ever u racist fag

  • Love the mustache, Vic! :)

  • This is not the Benny Hill Theme or Yakkety Yak or whatever. It's the chords changes from the A part of "Sweet Georgia Brown" .

  • Why would they be the greatest at something that they dont enjoy?

  • wait wat

wat does a chick from korea have to do with

    chicken pickin lmao

  • its a chick from corea and its a song where they break into a bluegrass part... chicken pickin

  • Actually, I think they meant "Chick in Pickin'" like "A Chick from Corea".

  • no a chick from corea is named after a artist or something lol

  • "Chick Corea" is the artist. These songs titles are word plays. Boy, I'm surprised that nobody is getting that.

  • It's Yackety Sax by "Boots" Randolph

  • I see he simply had a sticker of a yin-yang back then. Who would dirty sanchez such a bass master?

  • Steve has a huge package.....mmm

  • yeah well then ud like mine

  • Yeah?

  • haha

  • wait... tenor bass?

  • A tenor bass is an instrument Stanly Clark invented that is just a regular bass guitar with different strings tuned ADGC so really not an new instrument but just a word for a bass tuned like that

  • In case yer didn't know, the 'Benny Hill Theme' is called Yakkety Sax.

  • Yeah or "Fuckety suck".

  • I see what you did there

  • Before it was Yakkety Sax, it was Yakkety Yak. A fun tune any way you cut it, and the memories of Benny Hill always bring a smile.
