i dont know what Im missing but I think Vista is a great OS. Ive only had 2 problems with it:

1. Compatability...but only when it barely came out. Now most programs are Vista ready

2. One of the updates after installed removed my DVD drives. But it was a quick fix. I removed the update.

haha..yeah, that isnt OS X behind him, its his quad core vista machine that he is eventually replacing with a mac pro. OS X doesnt have a BSOD really...when it crashes, it just restarts and its all good...or you can get the spinning beach ball of death, but thats more of an hourglass type thing...only happens when the computer is really thining, or is frozen/not responding.

Actually he loves Microsoft, he just hates Vista, and let's face it he's far from alone in that sense. He runs it because he got a free copy from Microsoft as he was a beta tester for it and actually likes some of the new stuff in it. He's just not too happy with the OS overall and has decided that OSX is the way for him.
