@ctarthur23 We haven't documented PBR bull riding events. But PRCA rodeo horses and bulls are certainly shocked at many rodeos. We've brought so much attention to the shocking at Cheyenne, so that venue banned it and we didn't see shocking there last year. You won't ever see on TV the truth our videos are showing as far as animal injuries and deaths. Pro rodeo can't afford to let more people see how animals are really treated in the rodeo arenas. We have many barrel racers supporting our efforts
I think you guys are showing a great example of standing up for whats right you gave that kid a great lesson its sad to see that thanks to a bad role model that kid might be a bad cop too....

I also was once a Police Explorer and can say that these kids were not at fault here and have no real legal power. The people involved were all cowardly besides the camera operator here. If there is a legislation and the rodeo is in violation of this legislation and the investigator was in his right to investigate, then, those people were obstructing this investigation. Why not get closer and video it directly? Maybe because it is not a government sponsored inspection. A food inspector doesn't video from a distance ... he goes into the kitchen. I suggest another person to help in these investigations.
"Explorers" are not sworn law enforcement officers, and have no power or authority to tell anyone to do anything, or restrict liberty in any way- even if instructed by a police officer. In fact, he should not be wearing even an embroidered badge that says "Police" on it. At best, it can be considered impersonation (especially while trying to force someone to do something), at worst, it can be a threat to his safety. And parents- there is no expectation of privacy here-your kid can be filmed.

for some people going to the rodeo is a way of life. thats how they grew up. i saw a few things in some of your videos that i didn't like and i thought were crualty to animals,like when they would keep pulling the steer after it was down. i dont agree with that at all but for the most part i dont think rodeos are bad. i used to go all the time and i have seen more grown men hurt then animals

@colster6 We continue to go because the abuse continues. It's important to keep it in the forefront of awareness and public sentiment. Laws need to be changed to protect these animals, and to stop filming would help the abusers, not the animals.

I am the parent of three kids and I cannot tell other parents (or anyone else for that matter) to NOT videotape them if they are involved in a public activity. Think of the chaos that would ensue if I had asked for no videotaping during the Christmas band concert of 200+ kids....just because I didn't want my child to appear on film.

By the way, I noticed how empty the stands were. It looked like the only people there were the perormers' families. Such lack of attendance is encouraging; I think rodeo is on its way into the history books where it belongs.

GRimmEhx15: SHARK President Steve Hindi, an Illinois Approved Humane Investigaor, is asking the police 'explorers' to have the people stop blocking him, and they tell him in return that the people have the right to stand there, which they don't according to fire code. The woman with the stringy hair who tried to get in our investigator's face demanded we not film her 17 year old son other people were no doubt filming. The next man said his attorney would be in touch, but that hasn't happened.

Pace sponsored a whole rodeo series. Say goodbye. There there is Choice Hotels, Starbucks, Trader Joe's and, well you get the picture.
As for the four, Coke makes poison, Dodge makes junk and is on life support, Southwest Airlines has been cited for numerous safety violations, and Marriott should know better.

@SHARKonlineorg ok thanks,I live in Australia and we also have cowboys and rodeos but we are big nature lover's and animal right's fanatics.Recently we stopped sending our live cattle overseas for slaughter because we found out they were being mistreated,it cost our businesses big money but until we can inspect abateurs overseas we will refrain from sending live animal's anywhere.I think our inspectors would never be treated like they treat you by stonewalling you at events.Hope u sort it out!!!

You are quick to quote statutes and laws yet never quote any law that states exactly what authority you have as an investigator in that situation.

for some people going to the rodeo is a way of life. thats how they grew up. i saw a few things in some of your videos that i didn't like and i thought were crualty to animals,like when they would keep pulling the steer after it was down. i dont agree with that at all but for the most part i dont think rodeos are bad. i used to go all the time and i have seen more grown men hurt then animals

Pace sponsored a whole rodeo series. Say goodbye. There there is Choice Hotels, Starbucks, Trader Joe's and, well you get the picture.
As for the four, Coke makes poison, Dodge makes junk and is on life support, Southwest Airlines has been cited for numerous safety violations, and Marriott should know better.

Law enforcement officers are supposed to be people we can trust to uphold the law...any time an officer of the law proves to be morally or ethically corrupt it just...augh, like I said, I don't have words for it. Despicable in the highest degree.
Is there any way charges of obstruction and/or harassment can be filed against these corrupt individuals?

this is discusting. i go to rodeos but not like this. the ones i go to are just barrel racing and sometimes pole bending but all the horses there are spoiled rotten. shark, your eventually gonna win, i wish i could donate but i spent all my money at a race today :(
