the young girl came to see him his veins remained soft and his heart a gentle murmur of oxygen rather than a coursing fire of blood his manhood remained soft and supple he was a tender tip of aspargus rather than the firm and fertile root and he took her to see what was not at the bottom of the sea yet she could saw it for she was young and still able to witness beauty even if it might lie naturally outside of the story he went home and pulled the trigger by icarus williams
Would you consider reading stories by F. Scott Fitzgerald? I think "The Diamond As Big As The Ritz" or "Babylon Revisited" would make for wonderful reads. And I'm unsure if you'd be willing to do this, but would you consider doing episode readings of "The Great Gatsby"? It would attract lots of viewers plus Fitzgerald's words are so... magical.
It has become cliché to use terms like "sparse dialogue" and "teasing mystery" when commenting on Salinger, yet those terms are so perfect for this enticing little story. It was so perfectly luxurious to lean back, close my eyes, and listen to you read to me this delicious story with it's abrupt ending. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
This was such a great short story. We just read this in my creative writing class. You have a great voice and it was very wonderful to hear you read!
I don't know if you've already done this, but do you think you could read "I wondered lonely as a cloud" by William Wordsworth? It's short but its one of my favorites! I think it would be really cool to hear you read it.
What a wonderful writer Salinger was, so economical and ...pure...observant, charming and simple and deep. Wonderful. For me today was indeed a perfect day for A Perfect Day For Banafish, thanks!
@elstroshitnonstop I'm afraid that is the ending. The part I didn't read was the beginning, but all the essential information is contained in this part - in my opinion.
@SpokenVerse oh yeah it was a good ending, i posted the comment around the point where he "pushed her a foot closer to the horizon" very pleased to have you posting again. Any chance in hearing you read "Hell is a lonely place" by Charles Bukowski , or even "poem for woody Guthrie" by b. dylan? its a lovely but long one the dylan
All of my favorite pieces are on your channel. This amazes me more and more every day.

@SpokenVerse It's either that, or that Muriel and her mother are simply too annoying to be read ;)
