Reciting the Pledge of Allegiance is something we need to do more of. The National Anthem in the spirit of Jimi Hendrix was impeccable.

Of course Jay-Z opening with "Empire State of Mind" was great. Jay-Z, himself a native New Yorker, did himself proud.
