Why's this sped up? Plus the pitch is higher than it usually is. I could tell from the theme song too.. It's not in the right key... Great episode though.
@KellyAWilkerson Yes... When I copied this episode from an american DVD (NTSC, 30 frames/second) I forgot to adjust for my TV-system (PAL, 25 frames/second). Didn't notice until the upload was finished and thought it wasn't a big problem. More laughs per second...
@sha8808 I know, it's like a song that's played a little too fast. fortunately, there are other videos of this episode, which is one of my all-time Frasier favorites
Was this episode our first clue that Daphne would go for someone like Niles (or in this case, a clone of Niles)? LOL!
I love it that Niles and Daphne would eventually get together.
I know some critics said that they're getting together took away some of the comedy steam, but I think the opposite. It added another dimension and it was nice seeing characters we cared about find happiness.
@sabinoson I agree that they weren't nearly as laugh-out-loud funny after they got married, but a) they didn't need to be — just leave them with the light-hearted stuff and mine other part of the show for the wild humor, and b) it would have gotten annoying if they had dragged it out ridiculously long like some other shows — they got together at just the right point, not too soon, not too late.
Also, two of the main writers left just a few episodes after the arc where they hook up.
Ah c'mon, Frasier! Let Niles have a hug! He's too much of a gentleman to do anything, although his thoughts DO tend to wander a bit now and then... ^^
why r Martin and Frasier so against Niles going for Daphane? I mean I understand suggesting that Niles wait a little bit before asking her out but why do they seem to think that it would be so bad?
@woollybully100 It does seem kinda odd, but Martin touched on the reason in his "pretend" fatherly response: he mentions that she would never go for it. So if Frasier and Martin both think that he's setting himself up for failure with her, they really don't want to see him hurt like that. Plus it would put extra strain in all their lives having crazy awkwardness between Daphne and Niles from then on.

no, constantin brâncuși never made armchairs - only the "limestone chair", which is more a sculpture - although you can sit on it. but the designstudio "murillo" made an armchair called "brancusi"... maybe that's what they are talking about?!?
They didn't use this intro music very much. This episode is kind of special because it's one of the few that has that particular little jazz riff at the beginning.
@RichieEastside Not sure what your talking about. They've got only a few little riffs, probably one or two per season that I hear. But I don't have a jazz ear. You a Jazz fan?
@XxVailetxX Not specifically no, but I can generally whistle the intro theme after clicking on the video and be right (mostly by chance) perhaps six out of ten times. This particular theme though is not one of the ones that comes up that often.
Who ever loves this show please message me .. This show is very intelligant but very funny and a very smart cast and the fans of this show are also smart.
@hundredmanca Why do you think you need to quote the video we all just saw? Do you think the joke slipped past some of us? Perhaps it was the audiences laughter that confused you.
I agree, when a person is way too into someone like Niles is with Daphne, they see the object of their affection as infallible and "perfect",when reality usually bears out the opposite. Alas, that's when things turn out badly. Niles is so fawning, that it makes him appear weak and easily manipulated.
You know, it kinda pisses me off when Frasier tries to stop Niles from getting close to Daphne. Like when he was trying to comfort Daphne and Frasier kept stopping him.
Think about Martin that have waited since Frasier was about 14 to show him how fucking stupid it is to SCREAM someone name to find out if they're home instead of checking it out hahahaha "I've been waiting 30 years to do that"
I second that PatchWork!!! What a great show!!!!!! It's on Lifetime channel 4 x a day 2 in the am & 2 at night- My DVR is full of a bunch of him. I love Kesley Grammar as an actor & off screen.
Haha yes it's funny how everything always goes wrong when Frasier meddles. But in the end his meddling brought Niles and Daphne together, in that episode where Daphne was getting married..
It's a common situation for a child, when asked by his parent to find someone in the house, for the child to just yell that persons name until they get a response. Often times, the parent will scold the child saying something to the effect of "I could have done that myself." The role reversal puts Martin, who is now living in his children's house, rather than them living in his, in the perfect situation to exact his revenge on their actions as a child by giving them a taste of their own medicine
