  • Why's this sped up? Plus the pitch is higher than it usually is. I could tell from the theme song too.. It's not in the right key... Great episode though.

  • @KellyAWilkerson Yes... When I copied this episode from an american DVD (NTSC, 30 frames/second) I forgot to adjust for my TV-system (PAL, 25 frames/second). Didn't notice until the upload was finished and thought it wasn't a big problem. More laughs per second...

  • @OllieJonsson No big deal. I just noticed lol

  • is it just me, or does the dialogue seem a little sped up?

  • @ChrisMarquette No, it's not just you.

  • @ChrisMarquette

    Yeah I think you're right...damn I wish I didn't notice, now it's bugging me LOL

  • @sha8808 I know, it's like a song that's played a little too fast. fortunately, there are other videos of this episode, which is one of my all-time Frasier favorites

  • @ChrisMarquette

yup there r other vids, but either way im thankful it was posted, now i can watch frasier at work lol

  • @sha8808 To quote an ESPN commercial, "That's much better than work at work!"

  • That wobbly little "Rooooooz" that Daphne lets out when she opens the door is SO cute. I like their friendship.

  • Was this episode our first clue that Daphne would go for someone like Niles (or in this case, a clone of Niles)? LOL!

I love it that Niles and Daphne would eventually get together.

I know some critics said that they're getting together took away some of the comedy steam, but I think the opposite. It added another dimension and it was nice seeing characters we cared about find happiness.

    Thanks for posting.

  • @sabinoson I agree that they weren't nearly as laugh-out-loud funny after they got married, but a) they didn't need to be — just leave them with the light-hearted stuff and mine other part of the show for the wild humor, and b) it would have gotten annoying if they had dragged it out ridiculously long like some other shows — they got together at just the right point, not too soon, not too late.

Also, two of the main writers left just a few episodes after the arc where they hook up.

  • "It's what she does!"

  • @unltdskwad wow you're a retard

  • Ah c'mon, Frasier! Let Niles have a hug! He's too much of a gentleman to do anything, although his thoughts DO tend to wander a bit now and then... ^^

  • It's what she does!

  • why r Martin and Frasier so against Niles going for Daphane? I mean I understand suggesting that Niles wait a little bit before asking her out but why do they seem to think that it would be so bad?

  • @woollybully100 It does seem kinda odd, but Martin touched on the reason in his "pretend" fatherly response: he mentions that she would never go for it. So if Frasier and Martin both think that he's setting himself up for failure with her, they really don't want to see him hurt like that. Plus it would put extra strain in all their lives having crazy awkwardness between Daphne and Niles from then on.

  • Thats not fair the way Frasier cut Niles off from hugging Daphne...:0(

  • "Roz took me to this bar called 'the sure thing'"

"oh how flattering, they've named a bar after her."

Rofl. Priceless. Gets me every time.

  • if you could work the words "rat's ass" in there, you'd have it

  • Brancusi made armchairs ?

  • @jusdeananas

no, constantin brâncuși never made armchairs - only the "limestone chair", which is more a sculpture - although you can sit on it. but the designstudio "murillo" made an armchair called "brancusi"... maybe that's what they are talking about?!?

  • Frasier: hey, Dad, is Daphne in her room?

Martin: Gee, I dunno, lemme check; DAAAPHNAAAY!!!"

Frasier: Oh, for God sakes I could've done that!

Martin grinning: I've been waitin' 30 years to do that. :)

  • They didn't use this intro music very much. This episode is kind of special because it's one of the few that has that particular little jazz riff at the beginning.

  • @RichieEastside Not sure what your talking about. They've got only a few little riffs, probably one or two per season that I hear. But I don't have a jazz ear. You a Jazz fan?

  • @XxVailetxX Not specifically no, but I can generally whistle the intro theme after clicking on the video and be right (mostly by chance) perhaps six out of ten times. This particular theme though is not one of the ones that comes up that often.

  • Frasier is the best fucking show ever. Nothing today comes even close.

  • Who ever loves this show please message me .. This show is very intelligant but very funny and a very smart cast and the fans of this show are also smart.

  • "called the sure thing" - " how flattering, they named a bar after her" lmfao

  • Frasier: Niles, perhaps you should consider this from all angles.

Niles: I've spent 3 years considering Daphne from all angles!

    BRILLIANT!!

  • why does it sound like all the characters are guest starring on Alvin and the Chipmunks?!?!

  • To bad Niles in real life is gay. He's adoarble.. :(

  • @BatmansFavoriteGirl And why exactly is that ''To bad''?

  • @XeftCore Cause I would date him.. I bet his husband and him are really happy. HE'S AWESME!

  • i really like roz and daphne's friendship

  • OMG. Will there ever be another series as good as Frasier in my whole lifetime?

  • @iSensify

    I am afraid not :(

  • Damn Frasier and his advice. D:<

    Lol kidding. He's brilliant. :3

  • Lawd Jesus when Martin calls for Daphne!

  • @hundredmanca Why do you think you need to quote the video we all just saw? Do you think the joke slipped past some of us? Perhaps it was the audiences laughter that confused you.

  • @KoH4711 Either get used to it or buy the DVDs ...we all do that here

  • @krumbleton well said

  • i'm going through what Niles is going through....gosh, there's NOTHING i can do, and all advice is useless

  • Frasier is a very gifted actor!!

  • Poor Niles....Frasier doesnt even give the poor guy a chance

  • has anyone noticed that a lot of frasier gestures and ways look really really similar to the doc from back do the future ?

  • my dad's called rodney.

  • ha ha poor niles

  • I just love Niles charactor! but I never want this kind of man as my husband.

  • Why not? Niles loves Daphne with all his heart, not all men can boast that achievement, can they?

  • @jandaisy11

I agree, when a person is way too into someone like Niles is with Daphne, they see the object of their affection as infallible and "perfect",when reality usually bears out the opposite. Alas, that's when things turn out badly. Niles is so fawning, that it makes him appear weak and easily manipulated.

  • Still, it's fun while it lasts.

  • POATOS!!

  • Poor Niles...=(

  • I love it when Eddie lifts his head up when Frasier says, "Eddie, I believe that question was directed at you."

  • you know you're watching a good show when less than 20 seconds into it and you're laughing

  • i didnt get the part where the isdapnhe in the room and he yells then says i been waitin 30 years to say that

  • You hear that everyone? No one mention the name "Joe".

    LOL I love Niles

  • Frasier: "could we hasten to the postpotato portion of the dialogue?' lol

  • 'If you could work the phrase 'rats' ass' into there, you'd have it!'

    LMAO!!!!

  • i know. that was funny.

  • thank you so much for posting. I love love love this show.

  • You know, it kinda pisses me off when Frasier tries to stop Niles from getting close to Daphne. Like when he was trying to comfort Daphne and Frasier kept stopping him.

    Ah well, he's still cool.

  • It's because Niles is not concerned as much about comforting her as it is about body contact at this stage.

  • I think it's cos Frasier knew Niles' attempts to comfort her were not wholesome

  • Comedy gold!

  • Think about Martin that have waited since Frasier was about 14 to show him how fucking stupid it is to SCREAM someone name to find out if they're home instead of checking it out hahahaha "I've been waiting 30 years to do that"

  • Potatoes!

  • Their voices seem higher than usual..

  • "Exactly how's the brandy getting here, by St. Bernard?" . . . . classic!!

  • frasier offering brandy i realized they drink at many occasions. do us-americans drink often?

  • oh how flattering, they named a bar after her!

  • I fell out of my chair when i heard Frasier say that LOL!

  • Poor Daphne!

  • "either your boutonniere is way over the top, or you're here to execute last night's plaaan".

    very funny!

  • "Timing is everything."

  • Frasier is going to be one of those comedies that stands the test of time-

  • I second that PatchWork!!! What a great show!!!!!! It's on Lifetime channel 4 x a day 2 in the am & 2 at night- My DVR is full of a bunch of him. I love Kesley Grammar as an actor & off screen.

  • @PatchworkDream Frasier is a very gifted actor!!

  • @PatchworkDream I think so as well.

  • Haha yes it's funny how everything always goes wrong when Frasier meddles. But in the end his meddling brought Niles and Daphne together, in that episode where Daphne was getting married..

  • 5:35 - 5:47 = funniest moment of this episode XD

i just hope my mom will be living with one of my sisters and not me when she does the same thing :P

  • I love this show. It was well written, smart and comfy/familiar, you know? (c:

  • Exactly how's the brandy getting here, by St. Bernard?!

  • "if you could work the phrase 'rat's ass' into there you'd have it" lol love frasier

  • I've been waiting 30 years to do that lol

  • potato : ( i love this show

  • niles is divorced or separated but still....

why does frasier keep getting in his way?

  • Lol Frasier almost always gets in EVERYbody's way. Part of the entertainment. Frustrating, but the writers should know what they were doing. ^^

  • haha i think this episode is my fav

  • this is one of the best episodes. wat the hell was that??? loloo funny

  • It's a common situation for a child, when asked by his parent to find someone in the house, for the child to just yell that persons name until they get a response. Often times, the parent will scold the child saying something to the effect of "I could have done that myself." The role reversal puts Martin, who is now living in his children's house, rather than them living in his, in the perfect situation to exact his revenge on their actions as a child by giving them a taste of their own medicine

  • What does Martin mean by "I've been waiting 30 years to do that"? Thirty years? What?

  • i was thinking the exact something...someday please explain

  • i guess it's something based on family situations.

u know when u pick up the phone and the caller asked for someone, u ask ur dad/mom if that person is in the house?

i think it's related to that?

maybe i'm off track, but i'm just curious what it could mean as well

  • thanks!

  • is it me or are their voices a bit higher pitched than normal?

  • FRAZIER IS THE BEST SIT-COM EVER ! , WHY IS IT THAT WE CAN'T SEE IT IN RERUNS ! PLEASE i HOPE SOMEBODY WILL READ THIS..... AND TAKE NOTE,..... PUT IT INTO RERUNS !

  • "Poooottaaaaaatoooooo!"

  • Roz: I am taking Daphne out and getting her mind off her troubles. Here's your tape. [puts it on the table]

Frasier: Oh, thank you, Roz. Daphne: I want to thank you both for being so supportive.

Frasier: Oh, Daphne, nonsense. You know, after three years, you're really a member of the family.

The phone rings. Daphne: [still crying] I'll get it

Frasier: It's what she does!isn't this part missing?

  • Yes it is. It's even cut from the Dvd but I have no idea why. It's funny

  • just wondering... what was cut?

  • A part just after Roz start to take Daphne out, the phone rings and Daphne says "I'll get it"

  • "Exactly how's the brandy getting here? St. Bernard?" Niles always makes me laugh!

  • Certainly is funny, even though I gather that St Bernards never carry brandy; it's dangerous to give alcohol to anyone with hypothermia. Ah well

  • Yeah it's an urban myth that they do.

  • Just exactly how is that Brandy getting here-ST. Bernard? LOL!!!!!!

  • is jane leeves actually crying?!?

  • I love how Frasier pushes Niles, than when he has his chance to coddle Daphnie she goes to get the door.

  • RrrrOoO00000ooOOOzzz!!

  • aww, the way Daphne says Roz when she opens the door ):

  • EXCELLENT!!!

  • this is awesome. thank you!

  • jane leeves has the best fake cry in tv

  • After Mary Tyler Moore

  • I liked Mary too..... but did it last E-O eleven years?! (just asking...)

  • Classic Frasier :) Awesome series.

  • Gah! DHP is SO ADORABLE! <333

I love the way Frasier pushes Niles away when he goes to comfort Daphne XD

  • David has the most adorable giggle ever!!!!!
