On a trip to the UK I rode a Pendelino, and used a great deal for 1st class London to Glasgow. Very nice it was I can recommend them......

....but there is nothing to beat Class 87/86 with Blue Grey MK2s or 3s late 70s early 80s

Just wished I had had the chance to do double headed Class50s with MK2Cs, though they did pass us when when drove M6

Things are even better now that most of the Trent Valley section has been four-tracked. The 7.5-mile Brinklow-Attleborough section is still only three-track, however.
