The red foxes in England are endangered, every year hundreds of whitemen hunt these poor red foxes. These white redfaced hunters Englishmen hunt the foves for blood sport, and not for food. Totally babaric, and this endangers the foxes in England. I hope the hyprocritical Englishman will see the plank in his own eyes, and keep his dirty nose out of Africa.

May God bless the Sole of Dian Fossey who died amoung them in Dec 26, 1985 and was buried in the same cemetry that she buried all dead gorillas who were killed by the poachers. It is located in the back of her research cabin in her research camp Kirasoki in Rawanda.

She was found murdered in the bedroom of her cabin . The last entry in her diary read: When you realize the value of all life, you dwell less on what is past and concentrate on the preservation of the future

It's post genus classification. Just because they live in a different area does not mean they are different species.

lowland & mountain gorillas= Animalia Chordata Mammalia Primates Hominidae Homininae Gorillini Gorilla beringei. There are only 2 kinds of gorillas in the world and both mountain and lowland fall under the same species category. It's like you saying black people are a separate species from white people just because they evolved in a different part of the world.

Even though humans as a species would not die off, it's important to preserve even our "minor" variations. This might sound dumb or unrealistic but I remember seeing once a segment on tv about chinese farmers who used Methane gas from a tapped sespool they filled with pig dung. They used this gas for cooking and I guess for light. It seems like a good "green" alternative to charcoal. Just a thought.

You're right, they're not interested in saving "critters" - they're interested in protecting the environment. A part of that is protecting poster animals like whales, gorillas, and elephants; another part of that is the less glamorous but just as essential work of protecting ecosystems holistically.
