They well made it, People say oh we have never heard of them once they escape. Well of course there not going to be jumping up and down on the mainland or in a different country saying "woooo hoooo we escaped" are they ? If there that smart to get all that shit together and made it without making a sound then i highly doubt the water stopped them.

i believe they made it,BUT, i think that the Martain Dude fell out and drowned because accoreding to records about 10 days after the break out a sailing ship by the golden gate bridge saw a floating body but they couldnt retrieve it because it sank underwater, and the description they gave was the same as the Martin guy, i believe the brothers got away, faked there deaths by tearing apart the raft and throwing it into the water went to south america because records show they studied spanish ther
Im in college for marine technology and my studies on this lean toward the fact that they deffinitly made it to land. They were said to have great wisdom and smarts about the water. If someone could've actually knowen how to make a makeshift raft like this then they deffinitly knew something about the water. If they were smart enough to take the route the mythbusters did and had contacts on the outside, they could've lived out the rest of their lives in freedom.
They probably made it, but didn't live long afterwards, just think, if you were a most wanted criminal, how would you simply go get food! or go out to buy a new coat because you were freezing in the winter, I suppose the stuff could be stolen but the security level must have risen a lot after people escaped the countrys infamous jail! So they may have escaped! Who know :p
