For anyone who might be wondering, the dialogue with Hawke saying, "I'll miss you" isn't from the romance with Anders at all. It is in fact, from the "Goodbye Mother" option when Leandra is dying. Hope that helps anyone!

it probably was better, atleast kinder, in the end to kill him. but I couldnt do it. The problem is hes is so much like my actual boyfriend. This is one of the most beautiful videos I've ever seen on Youtube. Especially about this pair. I love how she's torn with the decision of either ending his life which can also be seen as sparing him or keeping him alive and in his own prison. I must agree that it's hard to choose between killing Anders or keeping him alive. In one scenario: He could die and in a sense be free. Never would he have to worry about hurting another.

Imo I think there will finally be peace for him since he can't control Justice which Anders says at several points in the game and I think its the most merciful option you can choose for him then sparing his life and he will instead be hated and hunted for the rest of his life and with Justice inside him maybe do even more horrible things that Anders can't control over.

@lilbbygurlful I agree with Xeriana. He would be a martyr for his cause, and at peace. He would no longer have to fight to contain Vengeance, and as of Act 3, Venegance takes over more and more often without Anders even knowing it. He would no longer suffer and he believes that would be justice for his victims.

@lilbbygurlful Anders also understands death is the best choice for him, even though I'm too weak to do so, so I choose to run away with him. I would hope that Hawke could watch over him and perhaps kill him when he becomes a full abomination or when there is nothing left of Anders. Either way Anders-like Wynne- is living on borrowed time, and no matter what, unless he separates from Justice, there will eventually be nothing left of him.

How do you get Hawke to say she loves him?! I've done the rivalmance ending, sided with the templars, got him to stay with me... and she didn't say that line. I WANT THAT LINE XD Do I need to be EVEN MEANER about Justice in act 2/3?

@TheLizkimo I can't remember exactly but I believe one of my Hawkes said it at some point in Act 3 in a Rivalmance when talking to Anders. I don't think it's at the ending, but in one of his quests, but I could be wrong. You may just have to try different options in the ending to get her to say it. I wish I could remember exactly where...

@TheLizkimo I've been searching for this line by doing different conversations thru the console. So far the only line I have found that comes even remotely close is the conversation in Act 3 Questioning beliefs. I tried it with a Friendmance and Anders starts thanking you for your support and says no matter what happens, don't blame yourself. Hawke can then choose the option "I don't want to lose you" which comes out as "I love you Anders." I'll keep looking for the exact line though.

OK I admit it. This video made me tear up. Maybe even cry. That ending...Ugh. It's heartwrenching, and what's worse is, I don't even know if it was the wrong thing to do, or the best thing to help him. I definitely want to play through again with Anders fully as I know see he is the truly most important character. As much as I love Fenris, it does seem like Hawke was meant to be with Anders, whether she kills him out of mercy or runs away with him. Killing him out of mercy seems more...right.

Oh my goodness! FABULOUS video! I actually cried like a little baby at the end. I was in love with Anders from Awakening, so when DA II came out & I saw him, I was giddy like a school girl, & when I played the game the first time through, my heart was torn. I absolutely adore him, but he's nuts! -___- Justice seemed so nice in Awakening, but he's just batsh**t crazy! O.o

Basically Hawke almost convinces Anders that (whatever) he is doing is wrong and he almost agrees, but then Justice decides to come out and play and Anders doesn't remember the conversation afterwards. It's a very frustrating scene ^^
