As a gay guy I must say that attorney is a dumb ass with the hooters reference...yea im sure if I was getting shot at in a trench I would be ignoring the gunfire to look at a guy.Any gay person who serves is an amazing person in my eyes because they are willing to fight for and risk dying for everyone to have equal rights..while they dont.That attorney dosent even make sense. So should women not be allowed in the military because straight men will be distracted? what's next?

I agree - I'm a reservist and haven't been in combat, but I can damn well assure you that if I was, I wouldn't be aroused by a "Hooters waitress." That argument is so specious its insane, does that mean then that male doctors shouldn't treat women? this guy's insane!

Don't ask , don't tell ought to be national policy. I don't want to know what your sexual preferences are and please don't tell me yours. Anything else is purely political. A soldier can always get out if his or her enlistment is up. If they had an issue with being gay, they shouldn't have joined. The gay interpreter issue is political.
