  • he kinda sound like professor snape =O

  • i wish i could express my opinion as clear as that

the best thing is that Hitchens will bring people to reason and logic even after he's dead, but apparently still alive

  • @mHalfLife Interesting you say that, as I didnt know who Hitchens was until after he died. Now, the man fascinates me.

  • I miss Hitch.

  • i've spent nearly all day on Christian pop videos.... by both the stander it chooses to jugged it's crap....

  • "God is dead" - said Hitchens

"Hitchens is dead" - says God

  • @miguelmirana God doesn't exist.

  • Hitchens' death is a great loss for the intellectual community. He was truly brilliant

  • Beautiful, eloquent, and as always full of intellect and rationality. Bravo!

  • god had to get rid of hitchens because he made god look super dumb. rip man

  • I love his glee when he says: all your work is still ahead of you.

Is there any difference between having Kim Il-sung as your Eternal President and having a dead Jew who was tortured and killed 2000 years ago as your Eternal King?

    No.

  • @saguhh00 If you really poised that question there really is no hope for you!!! Hell is waiting for your miserable soul. You will be standing next to hitchens screaming for eternity.Difference is you won't have a book on the worst sellers list!!

  • I love this guy ... respect.

  • Hitchens was fucking genius! Everything I've been thinking, he said. Religion is bullshit, it always was. Maybe at its' start it was pure hearted and good, but then it got a taste of political power and that was the end. Bunch of stories people made up as they went along. The idea of god is bullshit. God is just a license for a certain group of people to tell another group of people what to do.

  • @nuttyzius spectularly stupid! You merely put a general observation into a form of question, pretending to make a point... Hahahahaha you MUST be religious

  • God just got hitch slapped!!!!!

  • GOD lost all right!!!!! That's why hitchy is pushing up weeds in his 2'x6' condo!!!!lololol

  • @milwaukeegregg I'm pretty sure Hitch never claimed he would live forever. So you call cancer God? Never really looked at it that way, So is the flu God too? Dumnass much??

  • @orion1two Plenty of room for you right next to hitchy, lol

  • @milwaukeegregg You make no since.

  • 2:27 Peter Hitchens looks like such a little bitch sitting on the stairs. That is their whole childhood in a nutshell.

  • Cro-magnon is modern human. He must mean something like homo habilus.

  • @webbess1

Yeah man I know, I'm from Croatia :D

  • @webbess1 hahaha, nope. We're homo sapiens sapiens, cro-magnon are our ancestors, as the homo habilus, erectus etc.

  • Although he is extremely intellectual I wish I could see him make an argument from a point of view untainted by religion, every single video of him is discussing god from a religious/anti-religious perspective. Thing's like heaven/hell/prayer etc are all holdovers from religion and have little to do with the philosophical concept of god. And I'm not talking of deism which still describes an outdated notion of god.

  • If only hitchens lived a few more days :p.

  • Hitchens > God

  • So much hate. Agnosticism is the only way forward.

  • @Tommyleon225 I respect agnosticism but being an atheist does not mean hate. I agree that I cannot say that I know that God doesn't exist with 100 percent certainty however I acknowledge that the chances of this divine being existing is so infinitesimally low that I can just discard the idea altogether. If that makes me an agnostic than so be it and you should realize this too. Don't live in fear of God just because of a slight chance. It is a major waste of opportunity and life.

  • @Tommyleon225 when an agnostic is asked "is there a god?" they say "i don't know." what if an agnostic is asked "do you believe in god?" that is a yes or no question. if they don't know that god exists, then they certainly can't believe in god at the moment they are asked the two questions. if you call yourself an agnostic, you are also calling yourself an atheist.

  • @theblackmonkey1700

That's not accurate. Agnostics neither believe or disbelieve in God. They don't provide an answer to the "Do you believe in God?" question because belief has nothing to do with agnosticism. Their position is taken from the angle of knowledge.

  • @101mythbuster The idea Judeo-Christian and the only ones to contain revelation from god is incorrect. The Hindu and Zoroastran religions both have them for starters.

  • And this title pisses me off, Hitchens couldn't beat me in a debate.

  • @zerubabel3 where is the evidence for god, heaven & hell? I respect your beliefs but to stand with a valid point you require evidence to back up your claims.

  • Comment removed

  • "He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." 1 JOHN 5:12-13

  • @warriorspikes51 Jesus is a cunt.

  • @drplbiftin

    Cowards aren't allowed in Heaven

  • @zerubabel3 Thats true - Heaveb is reserved for priests who arse fuck and rape children. How silly to think it God would allow cowards in.

  • @zerubabel3 heaven doesn't exist

  • @drplbiftin

Of course it exists. And there is also Hell.

  • @zerubabel3 prove it

  • @drplbiftin Short argument but the evidence points to you being correct.

  • @Nyctasia no one's belief determines reality. God is God because he is regardless of my belief or yours.

  • @warriorspikes51 That presupposes the existence of 1 a God; 2 that there are not multiple Gods. In the Old Testament it mentions other Gods, the Hindu religion has many. Superstition.

  • You could insert any name for "God" in the title, and the title would still be valid.

Losing was never an option for Hitchens!

  • <3 this man.

  • Take this personal you atheist fools:

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

  • @zerubabel3 are you mentally challenged or something?

  • @xMiona

    That's the right question.

  • Comment removed

  • @zerubabel3 I'm free, and I always will be. I will never ask for more.

  • @xMiona

But spiritually you can't be free without God because of sin. Whoever sins is a slave of sin and needs Gods glory to be free of sin... God is love, but the world is wicked.

  • @zerubabel3 Well since there is no god you're lying.

  • @xMiona

There is God, He isn't far from anyone, just do exactly the opposite of your thoughts because you're in a trap that is called reverse psychology.

  • @zerubabel3 Prove it or consider yourself a liar

  • @xMiona

enter Howard Storm in your searchbox. He's a former Atheist.

  • @zerubabel3 No I will not, prove it yourself

  • @xMiona

    You did ;)

  • @zerubabel3 up yours, tossrag

  • @zerubabel3 Technically there is no sin. Since even the church says that adam and eve were not real. Since they were not real there was no original sin. Thus no sin. No need for sin. So although personal spirituality is nice for some people to have, it is by no means a reason to believe in god. In all actuality the idea of God makes us all slaves to him and based on what I read in the bible I don't like him very much.

  • @whitefire1997

There is sin, because everybody knows the difference between good and evil. God is good and there can be no evil in Him, everything that isn't good, righteous and useful isn't of God, it's of the world or of the devil. That's reality.

  • @zerubabel3 Do you believe in fairies, too?

  • You think I'm owned right now, don't you? Well that is what I call human weakness.

  • @zerubabel3 Actually, you "owned" yourself with the non sense you've been posting here. Noticed all you did was regurgitate religious dogma. Nothing new. Just the same old non sense.

  • Comment removed

  • @zerubabel3 fuck off cunt

  • @drplbiftin Is that from Leviticus?

  • @xMiona No, he's just brain washed. Typical theist.

  • @sKIPper76M

Did you bring something on this earth and can you take something with you at your very end?

  • @zerubabel3 You hardly make any sense. When I die, that's it. I'm not taking anything back with me -- mainly because there is nothing for me to go back to. And you face the same fate. When you die, that's also it. The sooner you realize this, the better you'll be able to live your life.

  • @sKIPper76M

That's the core of your problem. There is evidence that Jesus rose from the dead.

  • @zerubabel3 No, there isn't. Dead people don't generally come back to life (at least not like it was depicted in the Bible). The mere fact that the Bible claims it to be doesn't make it so. There isn't even any strong evidence that a historical Jesus existed (though I think there might have been a real person or persons the Jesus character was based on).

  • @sKIPper76M

There is. The shroud of Turin, all the saints, there are people who saw Christ. Faith overpasses human reason and that is why me and you can't get along cuz you are limited.

  • @zerubabel3 The Shroud of Turin is basically a forgery (and is not even 2,000 years old). Simple research would tell you this. Saints are not evidence of anything; they are merely appointed sainthood by people. If Jesus did exist, then people did see him obviously (but that is no evidence of divinity). There is no contemporary account of Jesus' life. Even Paul's writings (the earliest biblical writings) were not written during Jesus' lifetime. Faith is believe without evidence -- dumb.

  • @sKIPper76M

I see that you are reasonable.

I hope that one day you'll get it that your soul is immortal.

  • @zerubabel3 And when evidence of such soul exist, I sure hope it'll be immortal as well -- assuming being immortal doesn't eventually get boring. Do your research on the things you believe. Find out which things are reasonable and logical to believe in. You'll live a much more rewarding life if your beliefs are based on reality.

  • @sKIPper76M

Get reward from who? From people? Who is brainwashed?

  • @zerubabel3 I didn't say that a rewarding life must come from someone else. The fact that your belief system is based on reality should be rewarding enough. Currently, your belief in a god is a belief system that is not based on reality. Get rid of it.

  • @sKIPper76M

Yes, but how can I shut up over things I know and I've experienced.

I didn't made this up, it's not my theory and because of that I'm speaking the truth.

  • @zerubabel3 Whatever you think you experienced, you did not experience god. If you truly think you experienced god (and not just imagined it), then you should be able to prove it beyond any doubt. Many people make the same claim, but no one has ever been able to provide concrete evidence of their claim. You are the same.

  • @sKIPper76M

God is love and love isn't a feeling. Whoever loves knows God. And that's it. There are people who love righteousness, there are people who hate it. Whoever sins is a slave of sin, a slave of the Devil. You have your call man,are you so blind?

  • @zerubabel3 "God is love" is just part of the dogma you have been raised to believe in. Before you can say god is anything, first prove that god exist (and for that matter, your god version specifically). Then you can start discussing what your god is and isn't. Also, if you read your bible at all, you would know that god is anything but love. The god portrayed in the bible is a monster. Also -- there is no such thing as sin and the devil.

  • @sKIPper76M

I'm sorry, I am not God. He reveals to whom He wants.

    God bless you.

  • @zerubabel3 So he reveals himself to those that are in predominantly religious countries. He doesn't reveal himself to the highly educated and critical thinkers, though. How odd is that? If your god truly reveals himself in any shape or form, there must be a way to distinguish is it is real or not. For example, I'm guessing you are going to claim god has revealed himself to you. However, I'm also going to guess there is no way for you to prove this to anyone else. We'd have to take your word???

  • @sKIPper76M

God has revealed Himself, Jesus Christ is God.

  • @zerubabel3 OK, so you now have a claim. Prove it.

  • @sKIPper76M

I know your point, you need a miracle or something. There are thousands of testimonies of sick healed by the followers of Jesus. And Jesus Himself did things that no one could do, He did so many miracles that they couldn't fit in all the books ever written. Just do some research.

  • @zerubabel3 I've done my research. Also, I know I am more knowledgeable in theology than majority of theist. There aren't "thousands of testimonies" like you claim. And the Jesus miracles are pure story telling. Remember, nothing written in the bible was made during the time of Jesus' life. The earliest gospel wasn't even written until some 30-40 years after Jesus' death. I suggest you do some research.

  • @sKIPper76M

Like I said I'm a believer and I have nothing in common with you, except that my God died for you.

  • @zerubabel3 What we both have in common is that there is no god for either one of us.

  • @sKIPper76M Everything that is in motion is put and kept in motion by some other thing. It is evident to sense that there are beings in motion.

  • @sKIPper76M A thing is in motion because something else puts and keeps it in motion. That mover therefore either is itself in motion or not.

  • @sKIPper76M If it is not in motion, our point is gained which we proposed to prove, namely, that we must posit something which moves other things without being itself in motion,

  • @zerubabel3 You are plagiarizing from ccel.org. You don't even fully understand how silly that statement is.

  • @sKIPper76M It isn't silly, that is philosophy by Saint Thomas Aquinas.

  • @zerubabel3 Classic example of argumentum ad verecundiam. It's silly. The argument is basically the "first mover" argument. That's been debunked. Many times over.

  • @sKIPper76M You're being unreasonable now. Then define Creation, and what's the point of living?

  • @zerubabel3 Define creation? Read the dictionary. Now, if you are going to say that creation (e.g. start of the universe, etc.) was made possible by a creator (e.g. a god, particularly your version of god), then you again have another claim and need to provide evidence to support that claim. Point of living? Maybe there is none. Or maybe everyone has to find their own purpose in life. Or whatever. This question has nothing to do with the existence of your sky god.

  • @zerubabel3 This made me laugh

  • @Kralle85

I know. Look we could do this for the next 3 weeks, how about peace? I have know intentions to influence atheist lives.

Whoever wants to serve God will know if this teaching is of God or of men. Whoever wants to serve Jesus will get a reward from God.

  • @zerubabel3 Ever heard of the crusades? Summary: "My god is better than your god". So many wars have been fought over god. I don't think there has been a war fought over non-belief of anything.

  • @M9dhatterII

It's year 2012. dummy. Human mistakes happen. What about nuclear bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I think that was the biggest mistake.

  • @zerubabel3 Yeah. Name calling and the god argument is really helping your case here. What are you doing on this comment thread anyway? If you don't like the video, just watch something else. Go ride with the pope in his bullet-proof car or something. That'll explain faith in god to you.

  • @M9dhatterII

it's the way you reading it

  • @M9dhatterII And that was in name of science.

  • @zerubabel3 there is nothing that can convince me other wise that this stipulation that you have presented is nothing more than an opinion not a fact. I wouldn't put it past my country but at the same time I'd sooner believe that it was because of pearl harbor rather than some big science experiment. I thought it could have been a decision on the part of the military but no those evil bastard scientist had been planning that all along! Screw the history channel I'll sit around and listen to you.

  • Comment removed

  • @warangel87

Yes, I am talking all along in a spiritual way, not in a worldly. This is nothing against the US, but it was a great sin to drop that bombs.

  • @zerubabel3 Sin is a cop-out to avoid responsibility. You can assign something as "sin", and therefore nobody should do it, regardless of why or how they do it. I will never tolerate somebody assigning anything as "sin".

  • @josan2964

Sin is a killer of soul and mind.

  • @zerubabel3 You cannot demonstrate that productively, therefore everything you exclaim to be true is instantly invalid. Stop it, with your insipid, archaic beliefs.

  • @josan2964 If you for example killed someone. how would you feel? And what the f*uck do you mean by productively? Where did you hear that? What kind of knowledge is that? Foolishness

  • @zerubabel3 It's foolish to think an imaginary judge protects you. Fucking idiot.

  • @josan2964

It is foolish not to believe in God, because He exists.

  • @zerubabel3 Can you please provide the evidence of your god's existence?

  • @uglyandbad

Ah get the out of here..... :D

  • @zerubabel3 no ones buying that shit anymore, just the weak minded and brainwashed so fuck you and fuck your make believe god. Your a weakling who has giving up yourself because your afraid it could be true, if he does exist you ain't fooling him.

  • @TehFoo1

You calling me weak minded and brainwashed, who's the one who hates? Me or you? Your god is Hitchens...... :D SUCKER

  • @M9dhatterII And in HIROSHIMA 8 blocks from the bomb hit 8 German Jesuit missionaries survived without any damages, because they were praying the rosary. That is a miracle and prove.

  • @zerubabel3 not everyone died in the bombing some were just in the right places at the right time for that to count as a miracle EVERYONE else must have died. Look up other Hiroshima survivors and find out if they were busy praying.

  • @warangel87

they all lived well past that awful day with no radiation sickness, no loss of hearing, or any other visible long term defects or maladies.

  • Comment removed

  • @warangel87 a Franciscan Friary was also unharmed in Nagasaki after the atomic blast.

  • @zerubabel3 I think it had more to do with the fact that the building was already fortified against incendiary bombs that the allies had been dropping.

  • Type Hiroshima miracle in google searchbox.

  • @zerubabel3 i did that's how i got that explaination

  • @zerubabel3 didn't you watch this video?

  • @zerubabel3 Yeah... and the people that survived the blast zone that didn't pray were just lucky? Or would you call that coincidence? I guess if you prayed, it was a miracle, it you didn't that would just be a coincidence. That you can think at all is a miracle.@zerubabel13 is a troll.

  • @M9dhatterII

Other people were messed up by radiation; how can you survive a 15 kiloton nuclear explode 1 mile away from the bomb hit without any damage?

  • @zerubabel3 By burrowing deep underground. It doesn't matter how close to the crater you were, if you're 10-20 feet under.

  • @josan2964

BS, Gamma radiation will still penetrate that distance and still mess up your body.

  • @SadeofDarkness Gamma radiation passes through 5 feet of cement at max, and 4 cm of lead at max. It will not touch you.

  • @josan2964 Gamma radiation cannot be blocked, only attenuated, the attenuation is an inverse squared relationship, but from my own experience working with Geiger counters and gamma ray emitters a lead sheet 10 cm thick still allows enough radiation through to register noticeably above the background reading. An emitter that emits gamma rays is very weak compared to the high energies of a neucler blast so i would submit that you need allot more than 5 feet of concrete to be safe.

  • @josan2964 Also there is no such thing as "max" as there is no upper bound to gamma ray frequency and therefore no limit to the theoretical energies achievable by each photon. The scale of EM radiation just continues on. So if 5 ft of cement protects you from a certain source of Gamma photons then it is only required that more energy be input into those photons to break your shielding. And as i have already said, you can only attenuate, not block gamma rays.

  • @SadeofDarkness No, with regards to not being able to stop gamma radiation, you must be thinking of neutrinos. Those cannot be stopped. Gamma radiation can be stopped, because it loses more and more energy as it passes through material, and slows down to a point where, when it re-enters the atmosphere, it cannot harm you.

  • @josan2964 Nonsense.

  • @josan2964 That sin (for ex. killing someone) would take a big part of you, if you wanted or not because sin is stronger than man. You would feel bad, do it again... That is with every sin.

  • @zerubabel3 God created everything, therefore God created sin, therefore God already knew I was going to sin. See? Your logic fails on a miserable level.

  • @josan2964

He knew that you were going to sin, you got that right, and me too, and everybody so everybody needs the glory of God. In Him there can be no sin, sin is of the Devil.

  • @Kralle85 *no intentions

  • @sKIPper76M

I repeat, how come that you know that not believing in Jesus is a sin?

  • @sKIPper76M Mr. Carlin said that the point of living was plastic. God couldn't quite figure out how to make one and now that we have, we are all going away soon. :D

  • @sKIPper76M you can't, because it is impossible without God. Chess_MATE

  • @sKIPper76M and this we call God.

  • @sKIPper76M But if the mover is itself in motion, then it is moved by some other mover. Either then we have to go on to infinity, or we must come to some mover which is motionless;

  • @sKIPper76M but it is impossible to go on to infinity, therefore we must posit some motionless prime mover.

  • @sKIPper76M In this argument there are two propositions to be proved: that everything which is in motion is put and kept in motion by something else;

  • @sKIPper76M and that in the series of movers and things moved it is impossible to go on to infinity.

  • @sKIPper76M It is impossible for things contrary and discordant to fall into one harmonious order always or for the most part, except under some one guidance,

  • @sKIPper76M assigning to each and all a tendency to a fixed end. But in the world we see things of different natures falling into harmonious order,

  • @sKIPper76M not rarely and fortuitously, but always or for the most part. Therefore there must be some Power by whose providence the world is governed; and that we call God.

  • @sKIPper76M Read it from down to up. You can't mess with Christians.

  • @zerubabel3 How can an immortal being die? That in itself is a fallacy.

  • @zerubabel3 That doesn't explain my question, you've just asserted the existance of forces with no proof they exist.

I was asking how an immortal god can sacrifice his life and not actually die, to satisfy this rule he made about 'Sin' because he needs a blood sacrifice to forgive people.

But instead of someone satisfying this sacrifice allowing him to forgive everyone for sins they have yet to commit, he does it himself.

Its nonsensical bullshit, even in philosophical terms.

  • @zerubabel3 you idiot, the shroud of turin was proven to be false, it doesnt even date back to christ, idiot

  • @shadowkrypton

I know Jesus that is for you unbelievers

  • @shadowkrypton

Watch the latest videos on youtube.

  • @zerubabel3 and people have been crazy since the evolution of people.

  • @whitefire1997

God made people. But the first sin broke down the perfect relationship between humans and God because sin isn't of God. That's why Jesus (GOD) died voluntarily for us so everyone who wants to take part in eternal life can come to him and be free of sin, and glorify God. Jesus is alive and well He's the same as He ever was. He is the creator of man, of the universe and master of everything, you like it or not. It hurts God so much when people go to Hell.
