And if you take a look at the vampires that we se in films and series today they are all the same way, Bill Compton and Eric Northman in True blood is one example, the same with Stefan And Damon ion vampire diaries.The same goes with Edward in Twilight to.

I have a love/hate relationship with Angelus... Usually, I like the pure, evil, hilarious bad guys, but he's just a tad too psychotic... then I start laughing, then I get freaked... then I'm laughing again... Ugh, he confuzzles me, but I have to say, I love it when he's soulless every now and then...

Loled at the not Cangel shipper but says that it was absolutely 'clear' the Angel was completly in love with Cordelia when he was in love with Buffy, the whole 'fantasy' thing you just mentioned is the what Angel believed he had with Cordelia, otherwise he would be hell and over with his love for Buffy...which that didn't happen, as we can see through out the five/six seasons of ATS.
