LOL Doesn't sound like a "Steak day" but glad u had a loss. LOL
You will get through those parties. Be thankful you are SO popular and have so many places to go! U don't have to "crash" parties like that couple at the WhiteHouse. LOL
U r very wise and that is not being on a "soap box:" at all. 50% of people who have Gastric Surgery regain ALL the weight again after 2 years when they stretch their stomach back out again. It is NOT a "cure" all.
Thank you so much for sharing the info Violet! I totally agree with you! I did regained all the weight I'd lost while on HCG.. believe me I know of that fear you speak of.. I have it too.. but we have the tools just like you said . to correct those (cheat) days.. and i'm very thankful for that..
you lucky girl you. I am so afraid of carbs. off p2 in 2 days . this is going to be scary for me. but maybe easier then I thought:) thanks for the info, hugs
Yolie, you're so right. As I'm watching more and more vlogs I'm learning that it doesn't have to be big news to share--I want to hear about everyone's experiences, so I'm going to start sharing more too.
... once you go off the diet, it starts to come back & that's where I was hoping hcg would be different. Hcg is the best TOOL for weight loss I've found so far & I agree, a steak day is a great tool, too. It's a sure fire way to take off a couple pounds fast after overindulging in carbs. So instead of watching calories for the rest of my life, I will be watching carbs. Okay. Take care.
@Yoliechula Unfortunately, Yolie, I don't think there is such a thing. I always have this argument with my mom. She'll say, "Boy! That cabbage soup diet works! I lost 10 pounds!" I tell her that it didn't work because she gained the ten pounds back once she got off the diet. What I'm looking for with HCG is to be able to eat "reasonably" (whatever that means) without regaining the weight.
Okay, my comment didn't post so, again... I guess I'm looking for the same thing, but the scale jumping up a couple pounds over a small bowl of pasta IS unreasonable to me. At least at this point. Guess I'll have change if I want this to really work.
Well, said violetgrl. But, you said you stabilized pretty well and so there was nothing to tell, but THAT is something to tell. And when you had to do a steak day- another something to tell. Yes, what works for one may or may not work for another, but it's the sharing of the journey that's helpful, IMO. And you are so right about gastric bypass. I've seen many who DID regain the weight by forcing the stomach to stretch because bypass, diets, they are treat the side effect, not the disease...
P3 hasn't been a struggle either; everytime I;ve had a gain, it because I ate off protocol - so I have to correct the nexgt day. Did a steak day yesterday and released 2.2 - but other than a tomato - the steak was all I had all day. You have done very well, and you can hear the calm in your voice about the entire process. Bless you for sharing wise thoughts here.
Hey violet i'm confused....is this what you do on maintenance? There's so few guidelines for that.....gimme your take....we need mamaclok too...the Queen of it all.....;)
@HCGPartyTrain It's my interpretation, anyway. It really doesn't say in P&I--besides, I'm not really in "true" maintenance because I haven't lost all my weight.
I love steak, so I don't mind "steak days" so much... a good filet mignon or ribeye are heaven to me.
The beauty of this program is to keep us in check. If we splurge, we correct the next day. How easy is that? I love it... it just makes sense to keep ourselves within a certain weight window. I love that you get it, too. Very informative and helpful, Vi.
hi Violet, I agree with your thinking about protocal and keeping in check...you're doing great :)
