Why isn't the witch's book of magic translated? I thought her book, the names on the beds, Snow White's name on her coffin, and the storybook were all translated in different languages for the foreign versions.

In fact, for my vids, I usually take the English restored movie from 2001 and I put the audio part from the 1962 French version. That's the reason why it's written in English here.

But, for the 2001 French version on DVD, the writtings, even the prologue, are also in English ; the most important lines are subtitled in French.

The backgrounds, the names, the storybook, and the other writtings are translated only for the 1962 VHS versions.

I think I'll upload the entire movie with the 1962 dubbing soon, as it has been resquested several times. For some reasons of lip-synchronization, I'll keep the VHS video part so that you can see the translated parts. ;)

Actually, that's not quite right. The 2001 DVD (in the USA, anyway) does have the French-language version of the movie with all the writings in French, with no subtitles.
