both my Parents Worked for Delta Airlines back in the 70's ..... they Met when my mom was a flight Attendent and my Dad was a Gate Agent in Atlanta. mom was changing Planes going back to Lousiana when she met my Father at her Gate .
This was the spirit of the company that hired me many years ago as a flight aattendant. I am enjoying the day today watching these fantastic commercials. Truly embodied who we were and what Delta Airlines stood for. God bless CE Woolman our founder and the likes of Hollis Harris. True leadership. ;)
DO NOT FLY Delta. On the fnal leg of our trip from Detroit to Dayton Oh. We were suppose to board at 7PM we boarded at 11:30 pm sat on run way for over three hours So long we had to refuel. then the cancell NEXT flight was two days later. Tues, Reps from Delta were SOOO rude So to hell with getting back to children and going to work, Mon. at 7 AM we had to rent car drive to dayton another 200 dollars HELL we get home and they call us to tell us that flight was cancelled. DONT FLY DELTA
You didn't sit on a runway for three hours. If you had, a plane would've landed on you. You sat on a taxiway or ramp. When will the world understand you don't sit on runways?
@DeltaAirLines777 do i have to pass or go through skydiving before i become a pilot? can u tell my the training i have to pass to become a delta pilot? do i have to move or live in atlanta to be a delta pilot?
you actually dont cause your not gonna be doing all sorts of crazy stuff if you wanna be a commercial pilot. You don't have to live, neither move to Atlanta. I just chose to do it but you have to be near an airport that delta flys to. I would recommend going to the DeltaConnectionAcademy for flight training. On the Delta website there are always the jobs listed that are free for you. If there is no job that would suit you you should go to NWA. They always have a job for you!!!!
First off, I don't believe you are a pilot. Pilots don't talk like you are talking. Also, don't waste your money at Delta Connection Academy. With the new 1500 hour requirements coming, a quick fast-paced pilot assembly line school isn't going to do you any good.
I am a pilot and the 1500 hour requirements have NOTHING to do with 13 year old guys. The Delta Connection Academy is a truthful organization and for those kids, they don't charge anything, and the DCA will not waste money, it will educate you fool.
You are no pilot. You're poor grammar and stupid comments make it obvious you are under 18. And I didn't say anything about DCA being truthful. I said they are a ripoff. And they don't charge anything? What are you smoking? I've had several friends stupid enough to get sucked into that trap and regretted every second of it. Plus now they have $100,000+ in loans. Aspiring teen pilots, don't listen to this jackass. He doesn't know shit about being a pilot or training to be one
He is probably a fellow teenager like yourself wanting to be Delta pilot one day and has always wanted to go to the Delta Connection Academy. What he'll soon find out is that it DOES cost money and even after DCA, his $100,000+ in flight training will only land him a $20,000 a year job flying CRJs, not mainline Delta planes like his ignorant mind believes.
Dude, I am 46 and I AM a pilot, they do have loans now that they merged with FlightSim, I am a non smoker and for a 13 year old guy they wouldn't charge anything. They charge 60 to 70.000 dollars. Who do you think you are?Richard Anderson or Edward Bastien? Get a life you jackass. That guy doesn't know anything about Delta or flying an aircraft. Just go eat shit and die. AND, for 12 years I flew CRJs on a regular basis, and got $120,000 a year! Now I fly 777 and 757. Get a life kid!
Dude you are only further cementing my theory that you're under 18. If you really were 46, you probably wouldn't give a shit what some "kid" on youtube thinks about you. Since I am an adult, and not a kid, I'm ending this stupid conversation. You can continue to live this lie that you're a pilot and so on and so forth so you can continue to impress strangers on youtube. And how do I know you're not really a pilot? Delta pilots don't fly the 777 and 757 at the same time.
First off, I am an adult and secondly, I have 2 licenses motherfucker! Your just some homofo who spends his time uploading crap and only getting 7 subscribers. Stop commenting you fool!
They don't have duel type ratings. How do I know this? Because I actually work for an airline while you sit at home playing flight sim and lie to youtubers about being a pilot.
This was waaaaayyy back in the day. Have you been thru ATL lately. Always, always late. You'd think they never ran an airline out of there...EVER! Pretty sad for the worlds biggest carrier.
Argreed Delta back in the 80s and 90s best airline in the wourld! but now I flew with them yesterday flight attendent didnt even welcome me aborad and she was mean too
hey heres a new one flew from pbi to lga two weeks ago on an a319 operated by nwa people in delta clothes.most of the flight addendents look like they flew with lindberg.was taking pics out of window with a regular camera and was told i couldnt do that i said i always could on delta and she said this isnt delta, its going to bea great honeymoon for those two.............................
what do enjoy most, is getting off the ground quicker than the actual flight and if you love the speed and sky you forget your problems on earth for awhile.wish more people on the plane felt the same wat ie computer junkies..........................
@applesweeter 1, 2 and 3: We love flying, I think, because besides air travel being safer and faster than travel on land, for most civilians it's the closest we'll ever come to confronting a whole new horizon. I think what we enjoy most in the sky is the sensation of flying, being able to do what we as earthbound creatures were not meant to do. That, and we just love the view from 20,000 ft. :)
@applesweeter Prob because since airlines are multi-billion dollar companies, they can afford to make really interesting and creative ads. With this ad, however, I think it's just the nostalgia.

Love seeing that L-1011 Tri-star. Awesome plane of the 70's and 80's and even early 90's. Boeing's 777 is the new king.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
*Why do we love flying?
*Why do we enjoy air travel?
*What do we enjoy most in the sky?
THANK YOU IN ADVNACE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

We Hate Air Travel and rather go there walking
We only enjoy landing...
