This song is soooo beautyful, that I can only listen to it in christmas-time.Otherwise there would be too many emotions that I could`nt stand in normal times.
Been listening to this song since 1993... always thought it was about someone else... but now it's suddenly about me. there are very few artists that can have such a timeless AND timely appeal, so kudos to the author(s) of this beauty..."that was once a home, home no more"
@csjanne2 Suomalainen on niin viileä kielellä. Opettelen sitä ja kommentoida kaikkiin Englanti ottaen kuvat vain saada ihmiset ajattelemaan. Niin ja kiitos google translate!
The last time I heard TMC was somewhere in the 90's. Sounds fresh as a daisy and so 'now'. Truly timeless. Does anyone know what other projects the singer on this song was/is involved with?
this song should be heard only on a quailty stereo or best is in car, head phones, or a quiet place with a high quality stereo.. I have turned on many people to TMC with only this song... I hope some day they remaster this for surround sound.
Joo vitun kivaa kun kaikki on kommentoineet omalla kielellään. Noh, jatketaan samaa perinnettä : Tämä on koskettavin, pysähdyttävin, mietityttävin kappale heidän repertuaaristaan.
Beautiful powerful song, one of the best from TMC.
Dedicate to radio presenter Tomasz Beksinski, who taught me sensitivity of music, who showed me Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins and some fine bands from 4AD.
The only thing that sucked about TMC was that it was always different people. Not the same band, but at the same time, I guess that was kind of the bands charm, after all - they never performed live (that I know of) as a band, they were a project.
Now that I think about it, there is a live video of Elizabeth Frazier singing 'Song to the Siren" on european TV. I don't think it was as TMC.

Another beautiful song by This mortal coil, and sung by my other fave group Shelleyan Orphan.
