  • The Steve Jobs used same formula for his personal wealth amassing as all the past robber barrons of past days, be it steel, oil, railroads, what have you. I am sure he researched it all while a kids and knew exactly what he would do as his position in the modern era of electronic spying flowered and he cashed in on if, vending to the world government wanting eletronics to enslave the masses. May he burn in hell. I don't think he managed to take his digital dollars with him there either.

  • iPOD is the single worst thing to ever happen to music and sound quality it is total garbage !

  • apple is suing everyone who uses android on their phone

  • Digital music is bullshit.....analog is much more soothing to the ear....

  • keep it lit max

  • jobs was smoked by karma cuase he knew that the nao tube structures retract when in range of cell/wireless radiation.. proven in a court of law in 04.. take care on the spin

  • that was fucking brutal. and true.

    in memory of Dennis Ritchie.

  • The first Apple Computer cost $666.00 so we know where he got his help.

  • You tell em Max, spot on!

  • Max is the best! no hypocrisy, only reality

  • The factory that made Apple products in China put nets around the building to keep people from jumping, and had employees sign statements say they promised not to commit suicide. (Obviously thought up by someone who has never been depressed.) Some innovation, hu?

  • yes, Steve Jobs is overrated and the fanboys act like Mother Theresa would be gone. Steve Jobs was great in innovation and marketing, no doubt.

But he was actually nothing more than a successful capitalist, not more.

Unlike him, Bill Gates from Microsoft earned much criticism for Microsoft dominating the market while Gates has actually frequently donated much to institution who help children and handicapped people.

    Strange world i would say.

  • @masterchiefrules2012 what are you talking about Gates supports DEPOPULATION he is no philanthropist i can promise you that. Neither of them serve/d anyone but themselves and the ruling elite.

  • Jobs dead in America...how ironic!

  • I never saw an ipod in real life.

  • Pull out the dirty laundry for everyone to see Max! Wash that shit off!

  • wow that was a jolt hahahha enough with the a s s licking already

  • Someone had to say it.

  • ...never mind.

  • Max has opened my eyes once again! I'm beginning to think he's a capitalist of the anarchist mode.

  • No one can argue with Max. Seriously I have yet to see a competitive debate with Keiser. Keiser for President!!

  • Anyone looking at this is probably doing so with a product with a "made in china" stamp on it somewhere.

This all really falls back to government regulation. Apple is just a business like any other, out to profit. There would be no jobs if there was no profit.

  • Excellent Max! Glad to see someone take a bite out of Jobs' Apple. He was a tyrant who made a lot of money making expensive toys with slave labor and like Max said, using oppressive copyright law and military handouts to amass huge company wealth, and do nothing with it! Completely greedy and self-serving individual. And Pixar! Movies have become CG extravaganzas devoid of genuine information.

  • hmmmm. you talk good points max however you did not really answer the questions .....

  • Steve Jobs was great at remarketing the same shit over and over again.

  • Excellent Max, I agree entirely with your approach of the "Steve Jobs" subject. I would add to your comment, the fact that if what he created was open source, thousands of other Steve Jobs will appear. If knowledge becomes free, humanity will become exponentially wiser.

  • As an IT engineer and IT in business consultant, I absolutely agree with Max. Apple is the most horrible IT company EVER. If you look at what is inside you will find that ALL product they released are overpriced. Plastics looks funky but inside you will find a pile of junk.

Why Linux, Open Office, Chrome OS and other can be free of charge and open for everyone with talent. Open Source movement is the type of project with future.

Steve made a good use of marketing and that is all.

  • lol He didn't really insult or even say Apple or Steve wouldn't be or have done what it has. All he did was point out the "technique" in which they used to become the powerhouse they have is all.

Jobs was a visionary & passionate for the products his company put out , that is what people admired about him.

Of course the GNU/Linux people deserve credit too but they aren't those who looked to change the world as much as they want to unify it, if that makes sense.

  • Steve Jobs is another glaring example of incredible genius not stopping him from making stupid mistakes

  • Blasphemy ! ,how dare you tell the truth about Saint Steve,The Patron Saint of idea theft and slave camps.

  • Inventor of the C & UNIX Dennis Ritchie passed away 13 Oct 2011, not one mention for him did I see in the media. His contibution 'priceless' <3

  • Wow what a dumbs!!

  • so he received govvy subsidies. So what??? wouldn't be the first time this happened. don't hate max. don't hate!!!

  • One thing I'll always hate about Apple is the inability to upgrade the guts of their computers -- very wasteful and very expensive. I often use a PC I've upgraded gradually since 2000 -- it works fine. An Apple from 2000? Forget about it.

  • @MrBigwong - untrue, there are options to replace mother boards and upgrade parts. It's not as plentiful in options as pc but it is possible. "inability" = false statement. don't spread lies. thanks.

  • @judutchinski OK. Fair enough. How about this instead: Difficulty in relation to PCs. That said, I appreciate Apple products and consider Jobs an amazing guy who's contributed a lot to this world.

  • As always, Max is right on the point.

  • Max .. how are you so clever??

  • there were mp3 players in the 90's

  • Kaiser brings up some good points but - Max - you're concerned about subsidies for copyright laws while you're working for a state-run subsidized broadcasting network. Steve Jobs is no different than you.

Who cares if Apple sits on $80B in cash? Nobody's forcing you to buy their products, nobody's forcing you to buy their stock.

At the end of the day, he was a really interesting guy that we could all learn something from - good or bad. Kaiser pretty obviously has a negative bias toward Jobs.

  • @jwinter228 Agreed.

  • @jwinter228 To be fair to RT, while having a relatively pro Kremlin agenda, it has been focused on exposing criminality across western nations, something in which most other news networks fall short. Government subsidized or not this doesnt make max keiser comparable to steve jobs, a man who uses government subsidy for corperate gain VS a man who uses it to educate and inform. Also I own an iphone, ipod and a mac :)

  • @0oMECOo0 that's not really a fair statement - Max gets an income for what he does. Steve Jobs does, too. Apple - on the whole - has made our lives better through technology, new jobs, new ventures, and plenty of other new possibilities. You could argue that Max makes a good impact in other ways.

I just don't think you can, in effect, say that to "educate and inform" is somehow better than the attributes of Apple. Compared to what? Why? They're just different attributes, that's all.

  • @jwinter228 From a technical perspective he has provided a great contribution, I have benifited from work producing iphone applications. At the end of the day their efforts are purely focused on profiterring- look at the price of the latest mac pro. Max keisers contribution out ways the joy of owning the latest techincal gadget or the numerous slave jobs generated in china. I believe technological advancement is the key to our advancement, but not when focused through corperate gain.

  • @0oMECOo0 While it's a moot point, the price of Macs have drastically decreased over the past ten years - that's why I was able to snag one last year. More importantly, you can't "profiteer" when you have a willing buyer. Nobody forced you to buy a mac - Apple has to compete with all other brands. They just happen to have the highest quality in materials and you pay for styling - and that costs money.

  • @jwinter228 I only meant profiteer in terms of making excessive profits. Don't get me wrong, I love my mac. I just hold issue with the procurement of gain though moraly questionable buisness practice. In the same way many large corporations operate.

  • max always spot on

  • I trust everyone here uses Linux-based devices exclusively, then?

  • Cuz, you know, Bill Gates is the richest man on earth because of all his charity work.

  • Thank God. I thought I was the only one who thinks all this veneration of a man like Jobs is absolutely grotesque. Jobs was primarily a business man, who created devices which, honestly, don´t bring ANYTHING to humanity. If you add the slave labor used in China plus all the market manipulations, I guess that puts him at the same level as Blankenfein and Bill Gates.

  • Apple got subsidies?! Ugh!

  • Max Keiser is spot on. Jobs was a glorified salesman of overpriced and overrated jail devices.

Ricard Stallman advocates copyleft. GNU/Linux is the ultimate OS.

  • @Laoch111 You use GNU/Linux? Wow. I thought I was the only one. The Ultimate O/S.

  • @heaviside1618 Absolutely. The number of users continues to grow. ^_^

  • @Laoch111 True i agree but sadly only for those that are savvy enough to work with it...i gave up and went back to apple, its not user friendly, not in my experience with the tiny eeepc and for my tech dinosaur mum.....total headache with hours of wasted time head banging for answers.

The choices we are given limit us alot with this tech and time and MONEY aren't something any of us have a whole lot of these days......

  • @nephilangel There are many distros of GNU/Linux - ranging from easy to use to extremely difficult. Opt for the Ubuntu family \ Linux Mint \ PCLinuxOS etc. You wont be disappointed. First make sure your PC/Laptop model is compatible with GNU/Linux - most are. Happy computing.

  • The segment was about Apple and Steve Jobs, and Max answered those questions. But his answers can apply to many if not most US companies, and lord knows how many global ones. It would be foolish and dangerous to make Jobs the poster boy for all that we 99%'ers feel that we've been robbed of.

  • The brutal truth is beautiful when dished out by Mad Max. Thanks for putting Job's success into perceptive. This approach can help us face reality.

  • I never used a apple didn't like em Commodore 64 FTW!

  • Max is a hero!

  • Never owned an Apple product and never plan to. The only problem is that my tax money is going to private monopolies like Apple!

  • Well said MAX...Apple are criminals.

  • 10/10 Max.

IP cannot be exist until someone has enough guns to enforce it. That tells you all you need to know about its morality.

  • The guys comes off as an arrogant F-ing prick if you ask me. Maybe he mellowed out after he found out he had cancer, I don't know.

    video.pbs.org/video/2151510911/

  • Yay Max!!

  • Meanwhile Dennis Ritchie, creator of C and Unix, the base of Macintosh software, died a few days after Steve Jobs and I still keep hearing about this fuckwit businessman.

From the way AJE has been choking on his necrotic cock, you'd think Steve Jobs as a one man team singlehandedly engineered and designed the iPod.

Turns out his engineers and designers did that. True fact. Look it up.

Turns out also Pixar is successful because their animators are geniuses. Steve Jobs is not an animator.

  • @Redfingers There was NOTHING to design the MP3 player already existed it is just the same crap in a higher priced designer marketing box.

  • OMG. Max actually knew who Richard Stallman (RMS) is.

  • Jobs got cancer due to his dis-ease.. his physical/emotional/spiritual self was not in alignment. He should not be revered. What value to the gadgets bring humanity? everybody is lost in their iphones, etc. and even further up the esoteric mountain out of harmony with nature and real things. It is true that the success was built upon intellectual property rights which are abhorrent to freedom and the best interest of humanity. He was no hero, but he was human and flawed like us all. RIP

  • It would seem that others exploited Jobs genius for dollars and took away American work. I love my zune and is easier to download stuff from pc. Apple cost too much. seems to be upper middle class. or social stutus. How Great is that. ?

  • Well said Max!

  • "Steve "no jobs" for Americans.

  • It's all well and good citing the issue of Apple's use of cheap labour in China. But if that labour was not employed by Apple, via Foxconn, it would be employed by Lenovo; barely exist on a rural farm; or be exploited as kitchen staff in a Chinese speaking ghetto, in a foreign land. Microsoft led the way in the protectionism of copyright, since Microsoft is in the business of selling licenses. A practice that is conducted by IBM, etc. Jobs' reputation is wildly overstated.

  • Plz forget this jobs guy, nets around the building to prevent suicide...

  • Monopolies are anti-capitalist. And IP laws used to be called monopoly rights. Capitalism started as an objection to mercantilism, where big companies were granted monopolies and used the power of the state to grow and keep power.

So so many people compalin about this "capitalist" world but they cant distinguish between statism and all its forms. Its always been the state thats oppressed man. Legal plunder! Legal force! Legal incarceration! Legal oppression! Rise up against the state!

  • Max can sometimes talk out of his ass. This is one of those times.

  • Gotta Love Max!, Man, dont ever give up your character, integrity and please dont stop speaking the truth, which you do so well. Ty.+

  • Richard Stallman and Dennis Ritchie are worth 1 million Steve Jobs.

  • Well said, if i'm not wrong, the Apple workers in China are only paid US$180 per month, 12 hours of work each day, one day rest in a month. That cost 17 workers to commit suicide. Since then, Apple agree to increase the pay to US$300+. But also it is rumor that workers worked more than 12 hours.

  • Hold on while I twitter the wall street revolution against big biz and corporations on my brand new Iphone.

  • You got it right Max. It's Richard Stallman's vision of free software (GNU) that has powered the true revolution of freedom. It is what Linux is all about and Apple owes it's success in part to the unix code. I don't hate Jobs I believe he was a good man but he is not the great man that he gets portrayed to be.

Bill Gates on the other hand is the spawn of Satan-(figure of speech).

Share the code freely and humanity will thrive and there will be peace on earth and good will to all!

  • @JohnnyContempt You nailed it. :)

  • @JohnnyContempt I had the pleasure of interviewing and getting to know Stallman. He is true to the people and true to his work, probably of all the people I have interviewed in IT... he is the one I respect the most. Completely unselfish person.

  • @JohnnyContempt Jobs was almost entirely a propagandist. He took other people's ideas / products and marketed them as if he developed them, as if they were inspirational, innovative, exclusive... he fed all of the worst characteristics of an egomaniac. I despise him for what he did to the world. He was an elitist prick. The Linus Torvalds of the world and others who really developed the groundbreaking technologies are forgotten because the propagandists shine their own lights on themselves.

  • @Cinemaguy2007

Hey I was going to say that!

  • Keiser is THE man!!

  • Max you are the best man!

  • Yea what about the sucide nets at the apple plant in china.....?????rip jobs but a mother theresea you were not....

  • @SanchezFam420 Mother Teresa was no Mother Teresa either.

  • @SanchezFam420 I love it when you bleeding hearts mention Chinese labor as if they were better off before the corporations went there. You didn't give a fuck about them when they were working free in Chinese labor camps. How many u think committed suicide then? If every single corporation left China they would be worst off. Back to the government owned rice fields laboring for the state like slaves. The Chinese are buying Ipads, & flat screens, cars. Look at Chine 40 years ago compare to 2day.

  • Comment removed

  • @SanchezFam420 Mother Theresa was a sick, sadistic woman... she worshipped at the alter of pain, death and suffering...

She'd rather have her "patients" die and meet their maker than provide any medical assistance.

All the "hospitals" where filthy places the poor went to die.

Fully Endorsed by The Vatican... no surprises there.

  • @SanchezFam420 Mother Theresa was no Mother Theresa either.. (wikipedia-url/Mother_Teresa#Criticism)

  • Free music for the people!

  • a good report, I actually support abolishing IP altogether.

  • Never owned an ipod. I love listening to one album at a time and ingesting the artistic wholeness which a complete work brings to play.

"Scattered emotions lead to shattered continuity."
