I did the 3 hole mod on stock, then the 1st baffle and then I gutted the pipes on my V-star, then I bought HardKrome and the Hk's were not as nice sounding as the Gutted Stock pipes, yours sound great, the HK's were to High pitched, if anyone is on a budget check out my gutted stock pipes 2 hours with a hammer and screw driver, and your running with the aftermarket sounds

Did you re-jet the carb, or did you just leave that stock to get your figures?

not too loud! check the 2'75 hard chrome exhaust for the 650 v star  i like this kind of videos cause you can check the diferent brands before purchase pipes for your bike! ride safe.
