But Muslim's Creator is different from the Christian's, both are different from the Jewish one; the Sunni's and Shia's and Sufi's and Wahabi's all differ. When religion defines morality, that is NOT objective. Being objective means being based on EVIDENCE that all can see regardless of their religions. One person may want to set rules to benefit himself, but rules are made and enforced by societies, objectively or not.
Actually, you're sort of right, I don't believe in right or wrong. But I do believe in beneficial and harmful. If something harms more people than it helps, it shouldn't be done. If something benefits more people than it harms it's good, and it should probably be done.

@Pigroota It's not as quite as black and white as you think. You'll notice I put "probably" in there. That means it shouldn't necessarily be done. Personally, I think people shouldn't be executed, but instead made to live a torturous existence in a horrible jail. Also, sometimes people are found innocent, if they're dead, you can't end their punishment. Execution is permanent.

in normal society we vote for government and they form the policies how society is ruled. E.g. do not commit crime such as murder or stealing. On the topic of incest many people get the wrong idea about what sex is. If you have unprotected sex in attempt to have a child (male and female) that is sex. Two gay people are not really having sex nor can they but they are rather sexually playing. This is their personal interest. If a child of age is fine with it I would consider sexual playing incest someones personal interest myself, but actually having incest in order to have a child not ok. I am an atheist aswell. In response to your question regarding the age of consent, the main reason for the lowering of the age of consent, was because people generally develop and mature a little faster than people did years ago, and the law reflects the gradual changes within society, after extensive debate, evaluation, examination, consultation and consideration. If you took the time to study our legal system, you would know the answer to your question.

Evolution is not linear from bad to worst it is a process of trial and error and it is not the moral good or bad that survives but what gives you an advantage for survival....of the usefull if you may. So the rule thou shall not kill was usefull and evolved with us.
of course you have the exceptions of the rule. Some are aberrations like murder (and all societies have some sort of sanction against murder) others are legal executions and so called honor killings (where the thou shall not kill rule is sublimated and forgoten to serve a purpuse or rule subjectively considered higher, in that specific moment in time, than the thou shall not kill rule) others are war, again a sublimation of the rule in the name of a value (the community) considered higher.
We look down to things like coveting our neighbours wives, stealing, killing, lieing etc and highly on things like sharing, forgiving others mistakes, helping our neighbours, being hard working, etc, because as we evolved these concepts supported us in our evolution. We knew societies that kept "bad" things to a minimum and "good" things were encouraged, would do better than societies where this did not happen.
And dont think of morality as a thing that came after we were humans, it developed simultaneously and is still evolving reacting to the stimulus of the environment. If a person for example steals something, that would be bad for the society in general because it'll decrease the wealth of someone without them approving. Humans are social animals that has to work in societies to survive. Therefor, it is important, often through the above "rule of thumb" that we look down upon things that are unbenificial to us.

This is why in judeo/christian/islamic scripture, horrible atrocities like genocide, rape, murder, slavery, and EXCESSIVE use of the death penalty and cruel/unusual punishment were all rampant and accepted, and often decreed by "god." Because morality evolves from society as a collective. It's that simple. I don't even believe that right and wrong in any meaningful sense. Morality is subject only to current social values. I quite liked the last question because it showed that I'm at odds with current social values, (I have no problem with incest in that respect). I’ll take an extreme example to make this point: cannibalism, the eating of another human being. If you were to do it now in this country you would have to be insane; however historically and in times of great famine it has been acceptable if not encouraged as it is what society deems best for itself.

I define universe as the set of all things which exist. By definition, I know that my universe is a closed system, and that nothing exist outside it. To ask who created a universe defined as above is a nonsense. To ask who created the universe is to ask who created god. My universe is a dynamic equilibrium, there is no “creation” only a change in form. Though I may or may not ever know the true nature or size of my universe, I know that it exist under its own power. The problem with religions is trying to set moral absolutes. Everything is relative. Usually, most people would disagree with killing someone. However, what would happen if your life was threatened by, lets say, a robber? Would you kill the guy if that was the only way to prevent him from shooting you?
In that same way, everything can be evaluated through relativity. The obsession with an absolute immutable moral code doesn't make you superior. It restrains problem.solving capabilities.

But Muslim's Creator is different from the Christian's, both are different from the Jewish one; the Sunni's and Shia's and Sufi's and Wahabi's all differ. When religion defines morality, that is NOT objective. Being objective means being based on EVIDENCE that all can see regardless of their religions. One person may want to set rules to benefit himself, but rules are made and enforced by societies, objectively or not.

Personally, I think people shouldn't be executed, but instead made to live a torturous existence in a horrible jail. Also, sometimes people are found innocent, if they're dead, you can't end their punishment. Execution is permanent.

Of course there are grey areas such as abortion ..... at the end of the day we all define by our own opinion what is right or wrong. But in the society we live in, we are govern by publically accepted norms such as a justice system although not everyone will be 100% agreeable with it but it's better than nothing.

On the topic of incest many people get the wrong idea about what sex is. If you have unprotected sex in attempt to have a child (male and female) that is sex. Two gay people are not really having sex nor can they but they are rather sexually playing. This is their personal interest. If a child of age is fine with it I would consider sexual playing incest someones personal interest myself, but actually having incest in order to have a child not ok. I am an atheist aswell. Because morality evolves from society as a collective. It's that simple. I don't even believe that right and wrong in any meaningful sense. Morality is subject only to current social values. I quite liked the last question because it showed that I'm at odds with current social values, (I have no problem with incest in that respect). Only time will tell if social morlity evolves to a different position. I simply obey & simultaniously influence the morality of society.

I define universe as the set of all things which exist. By definition, I know that my universe is a closed system, and that nothing exist outside it. To ask who created a universe defined as above is a nonsense. To ask who created the universe is to ask who created god. My universe is a dynamic equilibrium, there is no “creation” only a change in form. Though I may or may not ever know the true nature or size of my universe, I know that it exist under its own power. I have no need of your god.

The problem with religions is trying to set moral absolutes. Everything is relative. Usually, most people would disagree with killing someone. However, what would happen if your life was threatened by, lets say, a robber? Would you kill the guy if that was the only way to prevent him from shooting you?
In that same way, everything can be evaluated through relativity. The obsession with an absolute immutable moral code doesn't make you superior. It restrains problem.solving capabilities.

atheists don't have the same "theology" as other atheists. atheism is not a theology, it is only a stance on god(s). it is possible to be religious (have a theology) and be an atheist, there are many atheist buddhists. however not all atheists are buddhists and not all buddhists are atheists.
when we understand the base concept of atheism (to lack belief) we learn that it is not a positive thing and does not make positive claims. atheists frequently disagree with each other and that is ok.
