well your singing a little faster than the song i supposed to be and when you sing you keep the notes a lil too long or sometimes cut if off too fast but your great i wish i could play guitar but i play piano anway this is my favorite too switchfoot rules!

bad pick grip? I notice you keep readjusting your pick hold after every chord.

Hahaha, wow you're right I never realized that! I think I just have weak chicken fingers. I'm gripping the edge, but not trying to hold the pick too hard and make the strings sound to strongly. So I'm constantly readjusting when it goes out of place. It's unconscious.

I'm looking to get those picks with the star hold cut in the center to improve that, but I think I still hold the pick too far on the edge.

What is a good pick grip? I try to hold the pick perpendicular to my thumb.

i had the same problem. try dunlop tortexes

and the dunlop big stubby. you shoudnt have any problen holding those picks.

The Dunlop Nylon Standard Guitar Pick has grip on the top portion of the pick. Just bumpy areas spotted areas. But the star pick looks pretty cool too! Why are you holding back on the strumming? Is the guitar too loud?

Got it, I'll check those out thanks. It's not the guitar. Sometimes I have trouble strumming because my forearm gets stiff and I'm too impatient to exercise it before playing. If I hold the pick too hard, I get fatigued sometimes and can't keep rhythm. Pretty pathetic huh? Hahaha

You have a good point. I have to kinda listen to the song and get into it :). I tried with headphones before, but it just makes me sing out of tune :). Perhaps I will rerecord this
